blossoming that's so annoying. I have never used shopbop, would they offer you an exchange?

Rufus Kerry is beautiful, but it is so cut off I could never live there. I love the colour combination of colbalt and emerald, really fresh.

Red how old is your DS? Sounds adorable. I took DD (nearly 2) for new shoes last week and she ran around Russell and Bromley pulling pairs off the shelves going "ooh yummy shoes"...

I am very jealous of your 4x chest of drawers. We have just moved house and my homeware priorities (clothes and makeup storage) are very different to DP's (pressure washer and new ladder) Hmm

Very Envy of outdoor pool and US Vogue talk..

Ollie I loved the sound of your Primark spree. I've seen the navy spot scarf it's really chic. I went in today but they were moving stock around so it was even more hectic than usual. I did see some real suede ballet pumps in tangerine though which I'll probably go back for.

Just wanted to share a these Oasis boots with everyone real leather for £20.

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2012 21:20

Right ladies, I need a stripy maxi dress. Short sleeved or sleeveless, not too low cut, to replace the amazing IO maternity one I wore all summer last year. If anyone sees one, do let me know. This is current frontrunner. Rest of my summer wish list consists of:

  • Couple of nice tops, poss Kooples one I linked to yesterday, and decam's navy Fahri one.
  • White jeans. Not sure whether to spring for Paris, or go cheapo, bearing in mind filthy children
  • Espadrilles
  • possibly a Chan Luu bracelet
  • maxi skirt, probably grey
  • pink Supergas

amber I started off with a cheapy monsoon sale pair cos I was worried about marks etc but was pleasantly surprised about how clean they stayed. I had Gap ones last year which fitted well and still look white! I like a dress challenge, will get onto it! Did you want blue like the NAP one which is v nice?

Bloss thats such a shame about the jeans. I totted up how much I have spent on returns since the start of the year and its sickening.

suburban orange pumps sound good. Id lost the will to live by the time I reached the shoe section. Glad you like the scarf too, i love seeing things in the shops and thinking ah, so and so from W&A has got one of those!

suburbanstyle · 28/03/2012 21:36

That maxi dress is lovely Amber,

White jeans also on my wishlist. I find that in a wierd way child filth milk, custard creams etc shows up more on dark than light jeans so maybe splash out a bit??

I think I am going to get one of these American Apparel maxi skirts. Could either be really flattering or cling to every lump and bump, I am not sure...

OllieinOrange · 28/03/2012 21:39

Amberwide striped one from Great Plains

OllieinOrange · 28/03/2012 21:44

Dotty P has a couple of stripy jersey ones, ipad wont let me link tho.
Also look out for the lovely white broderie tshirt. Very sweet.

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2012 21:48

Ooh love that top ollie so cute. Going to try on the GP one tomorrow, is lively but scared it will be too low cut.

OP posts:
GeorginaWorsley · 28/03/2012 21:53

I second Dorothy Perkins for stripy maxis.

OllieinOrange · 28/03/2012 21:56

I like this one from Coggles. here

Hopefully · 29/03/2012 07:46

Ooh, I like the Coggles one a lot.

DS2 is one today, can't believe it was a year ago I was starving hungry waiting for my section! And he is even lazier than DS1 - no crawling yet Grin

blossoming · 29/03/2012 08:08

Happy birthday little hopefully. What a lovely day for it!

OllieinOrange · 29/03/2012 08:14

Happy Birthday Hopefully JR. What are you doing to celebrate?

I ordered the Boden broderie top in cream and the navy Must Have Confused jumper, still waiting for my grey one to be delievered but a good basic I hope.
No more spending for me until after my style day........

Back later.

AmberNectarine · 29/03/2012 08:52

Aww, happy birthday little hopefully!

I like the Coggles one too. The local dept store has GP, Diesel and Splendid concessions so hoping for a mass try on. DH already very bored of MaxiQuest, hopefully it will be over soon.

Am wearing my white Velvet top for the first time today with navi cardi and my fave cropped skinnies (Uniqlo 4 years ago) and navy Supergas. Cute but practical I think.

Hope you all have a lovely sunny day!

IceCreamCastles · 29/03/2012 09:49

Hope you and ds have a lovely day hopefully. My niece was 1 yesterday too. Can't believe how quickly that's gone!

Lovely summery links everyone. I am feeling a bit down in the dumps about clothes as I'm now even more limited than when I was still pregnant! Only 1 pair of maternity jeans are comfy enough on scar and now have added arkwardness of easy boob access with tops. Aghhhh.

Have been enjoying lots of cuddles with ds though- v lucky in that this afternoon will be the first time i've had both dc on my own for longer than an hour so have been able to really relax with ds. Can't believe how much less psychotic stressed I am with him than I was with dd.

Thanks for pm Annie- that date is fine for me.

Ollie- please could I have a pm about the things on sticks comment?

Am embarrassed to admit that my white jeans are from sainsbury's! Blush I wasn't at all sure they would work for me so wanted a v cheap trial. They are actually a nice fit (straight leg) and have had quite a bit of wear for the last 2 years. Hope I can get back into them ( and everything else) soon.

pickledsiblings · 29/03/2012 09:53

Bloss, shame about the Vince jeans. Not sure if Jade is your colour but they're a good price and would work with grey Smile.

Hopefully, happy birthday to the little one. My LO will be 5 at the w/e Shock.

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2012 09:58

Happy first birthday Hopefully jnr how lovely!

We are in last minute prep for ds1's 7th birthday. He has invited everyone in his class. Doing yummy food, flowers, games- thinking sardines, chocolate game and treasure hunt. Need to do cake, party bags and Easter bonnet for school.

Will have to scroll back to get Ollie style tips. Will be mayhem, but outside. Yes what was the stick thing? so I am prepared for such comments Grin

Icey I was so annoyed with reduced wardrobe I wore thin skirt and tshirt under the many dresses I had and lifted dress to feed. Madness!

So pleased all is going well.

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2012 09:59

Pickled you too. It's a birthday hot spot Smile

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2012 10:01

Sardines the game btw not the food.

reallygrumpy · 29/03/2012 10:06

Hello wise and avid ladies,
I've been lurking and not posting for a while cos I seem to have mislaid my style mojo (possibly removed during childbirth?) but the combination of sunshine and a trip to Westfield has revived me a bit and I'm now back to choosing outfits for reasons other than whether all items are machine washable Grin. DD2 is now 8 months old which seems to have flown by, she's a gorgeous little chubster but spectacularly messy.
decam I shamelessly copied you and bought the striped Fahri top, tis lovely on. Other purchases were plain t-shirts from gap and cos (dull but useful), coloured jeans-electric blue from Whistles and a pinky/coral coloured pair from Donna Ida which I can't find on the website, Primarni scarves (have had to temporarily retire my lovely scarves due to food flinging) and this beauty which I shall try to keep food free.
I'm now off to the dry cleaners to get last years Uniqlo chinos taken in cos they're a size to big (wise). The uniqlo chinos are v flattering cos they don't have pleats round the hips - I don't need my hips to look any larger than they already are!
suburban I really like your blog and have the zebra scarf
Happy birthday master hopefully.
I really need to name change, the combination of gorgeous DDs and sunshine is making me smiley not grumpy Grin

pickledsiblings · 29/03/2012 10:32

Hi RG, nice to hear from you and glad that you've found your style mojo again Smile.

Anybody else ahead of the curve on this look - I've been doing it for years!

FritziGreenEyes · 29/03/2012 10:41

Not much time for thread reading and posting at the moment. Have started to watch The Killing with DH in the evenings. The first few episodes were almost too much for me to bear.

Welcome back reallygrumpy! Love your new scarf but must not be tempted as I have a similar star print scarf already.

hopefully and marsha Happy birthday to your DSs!

bonsoir I'm impressed with your outdoor swimming. We live basically next door to our local outdoor swimming pool but I don't think it will be open before May. Love Princess TamTam! My favourite underwear is from there.

bloss Very annoying about the Vince jeans. I am fed up with paying such a lot for P&P and returns and have therefore decided to be a bit more mindful before doing impulse online purchases.

Not much to report purchase wise. Only ordered the same pair of black Block Raphaela ballet flats that I already have as my old pair (bought two years ago) is starting to disintegrate. Have worn lots so well worth the cost.

red Hope all your lovely clothes are now sitting nicely in your chest of drawers.

amber I like the Coggles striped maxi ollie linked to best I think. Hope you'll find "the one" soon. Smile

icey My pair of white jeans were cheap too. I am actually thinking of getting a second pair as I have worn them loads last summer and even in winter with grey. Can you cheer yourself up with a new scarf, shoes, bag??? Hope your scar will heal soon.

Sorry, massive post. Off to get my legs waxed now.

IceCreamCastles · 29/03/2012 10:44

Grin pickled. Me too- we must be extremely fashion forward.

Hi RG- glad you're not living up to your name. 8 months already?! Shock

pickledsiblings · 29/03/2012 10:54

Icey, you need Red's Warehouse butterfly scarf for help with bfing - it's massive like the leopard one. I like the look of this one too although have not seen in RL.

pickledsiblings · 29/03/2012 10:57

Bloss, this t would work with those Jade jeans Smile.

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2012 11:01

Bloss I agree about shopbop. After paying £27 to try on some Kors shoes.

Felt quite annoyed by that too.

Hi RG, thanks Fritzi!
