Annie thanks for your pm. The date you mentioned is good.

It made me chuckle as I put one word in my diary. Waft
Grin

Went to a meeting today and I realised I have zero work-ish type clothes, felt quite messy. Will have to iron my one suitable shirt!

blossoming · 27/03/2012 19:05

Hi everyone. I bring Violet Lake news!
I am keeping these bottoms. They are a good compromise with ruching at the sides so that they look a little like tie side ones, but they feel very secure. I got them in crimson, which is almost like raspberry, so brilliant on me. I am sending the top back, and am going to go for this one instead, but have also ordered this one to try on. The first top was in Grazia in a shot of Gwyneth Paltrow. Really pleased, and fast delivery too. Probably good that I have been fake tan moisturising all week too!

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2012 19:10

I am in love with this top

I didn't meant to press post then, I was going to say ollie, that I loved my White Co swimsuit from last year. Don't know where it is right now, but I intend to do some trying on tonight for my holidays so will find it. They're great, not lined, but good for the price. I don't know why they've added frills this year. Not good for me.
Flirting sounds fun red!

I have been skim reading, and have missed loads I'm sure. Will be back later for comments.

Hopefully · 27/03/2012 19:46

Bloss are the tops only for the teeny weeny of boob? Didn't clock how endowed or otherwise you are in the drapey top at MU! Love the bottoms.

Lovely jacket Red, but I need more of a collar. Wish it had one as I can imagine it's nicely made if the Roxy is anything to go by.

Really no idea what kind of tattoo I fancy. But I would only get it on my back - it's the only place that is unlikely to sag and I can avoid looking at if I don't like it in the future! Am semi-tempted to have something added to the one at the base of my back, but not sure how that would work as I wouldn't want it in black and the one there is fairly big and black. Hmmm...

blossoming · 27/03/2012 20:19

hopefully I am 34C. I had originally ordered the triangle top, but I don't think that style suits me particularly. I don't really like my cleavage, and my WC swimming costume from last year was bandeau style, which looked good in pictures.

blossoming · 27/03/2012 20:20

Just saw the weather forecast. Back to 11C on Saturday Shock

blossoming · 27/03/2012 20:25

decam, you are on a roll with Farhi this year. Saw that top when I was in London. Lovely.

OllieinOrange · 27/03/2012 21:01

Yes I loved that top too Decameron think they had a dress in the material too. im the same, DH calls me the 'take-back queen' but i have huge guilt complexes about spending on things like tops that I dont technically need (of course I reserve the right to change my definition of 'need' depending on how much I like what I have brought...)

Watching the Two Hairy Bikers tour Germany. im going to arrange a visit to see Fritzi so I can eat all the yummy looking German bread Smile

rufus101 · 27/03/2012 21:09

Thanks Decam (really like that Farhi top), went into BTs today and got these green Citizens of Humanity Eye watering price, but I just loved the way they fitted, and I know that if i hadn't gotten them, I'd have done what I usually do - keep buying cheaper pairs and in the end get exasperated because I end up buying/ wanting the more expensive ones! I also got a Zadig and Voltaire grey tee, with a feather design on the back. Er...I thought the feather was to the front, and was trying in on this way in the shop. Assistant never said a word...Didn't realise till I got home. Well I was in a hurry!

Also got these AMAZING jeans in Zara in dark grey. Now I'm not sure, if they are WITH ZIPS - Jeans - Woman - ZARA Ireland these with the zips or these with the zips as mine were 39.99 euro, but they come in all colours, pink, cobalt blue etc, which they don't seem to have online. Anyway I'd recommend a try on, the blue were very good also, but I just wanted a bit of a departure for the summer, and thought the grey would be a good alternative to my black.
May also have "accidently" order a pair of neutral wedges from Hogan in 361/2 as the 37 was a little loose. Oh well, can always return if I don't think they are perfect.
I also tried on the Ash Jalouse today! And the Acne Pistols. LOVE the pistols, but at that price, the colour would kill me to wear, as it would show up every mark and stain. The Jalouse were very similar to what I had on me already so the shop assistant was probably a little mytified.
Bloss, that bikini is lovely, and I might be tempted by the emerald. Have book marked it anyway.
Made the fatal mistake of looking at myself in the flourescent lighting in the changing room today. Never, ever do this. Even at home. (Although it may be slightly less traumatic!)
Who else is watching MadMen tonight? I'm waiting for DH to come home. Have sky plussed it! Very excited! (saddo)

OllieinOrange · 27/03/2012 21:37

I love this Massiom Dutti look here

Hopefully · 28/03/2012 07:38

Ollie I watched the Hairy Bikers thing and just say fantasising about food for about an hour afterwards! All the bread looked so yummy.

Set to be another lovely day here, am trying to incorporate a walk into my day even though I'm meant to be walking. Think I will be donning the shorts again - my legs are already looking a little bit less pasty and scary, but a long way from perfect!

Is anyone on MFP who fancies adding me as a friend? I need some extra motivation, and I'm thinking that some more accountability of knowing people can see/comment on my diary might help. My MFP username is islaybower. I have been gaining and losing the same 0.2lb for 3 weeks now Hmm

Hopefully · 28/03/2012 07:39

Rufus those citizens jeans are lovely. I have never yet regretted buying expensive jeans, as it's so nice to wear something flattering on a regular basis Smile

blossoming · 28/03/2012 08:07

Great shopping rufus! I really miss that kind of big shop that you and ollie did yesterday. Love the emerald, and the navy and the burgundy and the Chinese blue..! Are you going to France again?

hopefully, I will be your friend! You will be my first though! I'll do it later when I'm on the PC. For me it's quite obvious: I sabotage my whole week with my Friday/Saturday night wine and nibbles!

Want to wear Davina, but something tells me I wear it every Wednesday!
Back later.

Haha bloss I always do that too, end up wearing the same thing in the same day. Also wearing my Davina today though!

Back later with my summer wish list but liking the violet lake bikinis and decameron's farhi top a lot.

Russianred · 28/03/2012 13:15

Have just had a mad spree for DS in H&M - he was really enjoying himself and trying things on, talking through the outfits, colours etc. he really is my son Grin.

Nothing for me although I did try on the Breton Whistles dress which is really lovely quality, but not for me; loose across the top, hanging from my boobs and then tight over the bum and loose to the knee. Not. A. Good. Look.

I saw lots of Farhi tops in JL, including yours Decam and it made me want them too!

Off to unpack boxes, I have to hand it to DH, I whined about the Malm chest of drawers, but we spent last night making up 4 of the 4 drawer ones to run half the length of the room, have put grey smoked glass on top and they look brilliant - really crisp and clean. And, my word, the amount of storage I have now is untrue - won't be throwing a thing away!

Bonsoir · 28/03/2012 13:42

It's warm and sunny and DD and I had our first outdoors swim and lie on the sun lounger of 2012 this morning! It almost felt like the holidays.

I desperately need some new costumes and went into Princesse Tam-Tam on the way back from dropping DD at acting this afternoon. For all one-piece halterneck fans (like me), this is lovely.

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/03/2012 14:39

Oh this weather is just so amazing! Just spend a happy hour reading US vogue in the garden whilst all children elsewhere.

Ollie - DH had a fab time and will be back in France in the summer doing his stage of the tdf [crazy] Although must say he's looking incredibly good as a result of all this cycling.

Blue - am wearing white 811s today and think you should get them.

Bonsoir - how lovely to go to an outdoor pool Smile

MIM - hope things are settling down with feeding. Pretty much everyone I know found it rather ahem painful to begin with - I found a glass of champage after a feed/expressing session helped Wink [not nct advice]

Right - have done some ironing so can now go back to vogue . . .

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/03/2012 14:41

And Red - you've still got it Wink

Ooer. The boys walkie talkies have just picked up next doors baby phone - could hear the little girl crying. Wonder if she had heard the boys messages and beeps through her phone and it freaked her out as well it might!

Rufus I love those green jeans, look a great style from the pic. Am going to look put for the Zara trousers too.
red how nice that DS enjoyed his H&M experience. My two are so not interested, they just want to play on the game things they have on the walls in our local store and barely glance at what I show them. DS1 has asked to choose some cool shorts this year so maybe things are changing.
bonsoir the colour of the swimsuit is lovely. Some lovely pieces on the site.

Bonsoir · 28/03/2012 17:15

It's not my pool (sadly), just the local municipal pool in Neuilly-sur-Seine which is very exceptionally nice and has a really lovely heated outdoor area with sun loungers and a grassy area.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2012 17:26

A nice outdoor pool is great and quite hard to come by. Very much looking forward to using the one we have access to, I just need dh to sign me in. Can't wait!

Annie good advice, I'm such a cheapskate when it comes to work type clothing. Mostly because I am so rarely there. I think I have 2 x half days left in the actual office.

Rufus lovely shopping!

Lovely day!

blossoming · 28/03/2012 17:53

I am really disappointed. The Vince jeans were too baggy, the Jigsaw stripe top was ginormous in a S; the linen stripe top was NOT white; but I will keep the Vince tee shirt and the Jigsaw crew neck long sleeve. Could be quite versatile.
I don't know how much money I'm going lose sending the jeans back. Like I said before, customs is higher now, and you don't get that back. I think my love affair with shopbop is over. Still better than keeping them and looking like Nora Batty.
