new thread!

mim Hope you will have a speedy recovery. I remember my first BF attempts, I was so sore and freaked out and ended up almost crying every time DD latched on.

ollie You are such a star! We do the taking something for the class at birthdays too. If I am feeling brave, I might try the popcakes Smile. DD would love them.

I am at the garden center. Need to reward myself for all the gruelling digging and de-weeding work and buy a few new plants. Love wisteria, but it is highly poisonous and I wouldn't feel relaxed to have it in the garden with smaller children.

Have lovel sunny days!

OllieinOrange · 23/03/2012 08:08

suburbanstyle Just thought. At our recent MU we were talking about how many lurkers there may be on the thread (I was all for a one off W&A De-Lurking Day).

Does your blog allow you to see how many hits it gets? Would be v interested to see if your blog traffic increased over the past couple of days other than the regular W&A ladies having a look?

AmberNectarine · 23/03/2012 08:09

mim hello! Hope your recovery is quick as can be! I had the same problem re. feeding with DD, it got better after about a week of cracked and bleeding nipples and loads of Lanisnoh!! Hope you are going to take it very easy when you get home. Has DS met the little one yet?

I remember being utterly outraged when MIL came to visit on the Sunday after she was born, and I asked DH to nip out to get me some Lansinoh. MIL dithered about and by the time they got there the shop was shut. I genuinely think I might have punched her had I had the energy!

Morning all! I seem to have missed loads last night!
fritzi, that is a great parka, and really similar to mine at about an 8th of the price. Well spotted!
Well done on the cake pops ollie (how mean pickled Wink!) Yes to a lovely restful day. It is glorious here and I have wall to wall teaching. Ah well. Off biking tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be good for another week I think.
Sorry about the bf niggles mim. Plenty of support on here for such issues I'm sure.
How cool suburban, thanks for popping in! Will definitely have a look at your blog. Keep posting?
I could nominate Kettlewell and Office for super fast delivery. Ordered espadrilles on Tuesday night from Office: they were here yesterday lunchtime, and the vests from Kettlewell the same. They are going back though, but I will be rebuying the camisole in charcoal. Gorgeous shade, need a different size.
Also this week I ordered the whistles top (no idea if that link will work), for work. I love the model and the styling and wish I knew what lipstick she was wearing.
I have a dilemma though re my forthcoming holiday: urban Spain, what to wear, temp between 18-20C. I have agnes and cropped jeans and ballet flats, but no tops. Stressing a bit about it, but will do some avid searching over the weekend. Cap sleeve or sleeveless I think.
Must get to work.
notyummy, have a great trip, and hope dd gets better soon.

Hopefully · 23/03/2012 08:15

MIM sorry you didn't have the ideal labour, but no one can accuse you of not trying! Remember to take it v easy for a while, lots of running around for everyone else Smile

Beautiful day here, going to hang out in the garden in a bit, then off to Waitrose.

OllieinOrange · 23/03/2012 08:40

Oh yes Bloss, Im going to 'cake pop' Pickled next time I see her Wink I loved one of the looks you put together last year - was it a grey linen vest from Wrap? Tops are such a pain to find. Wrap sent me an email about their new summer yesterday, guess you got it too?
Do you like any of the WC linen tunics? Was going to suggest Massimo Dutti but think a lot of thier stuff is silk or poly which may not be good if its warm?

blossoming · 23/03/2012 09:11

Thanks ollie for reminding me about WC. I may get the pin tuck tunic in grey to wear with black jeans. Very urban! I'd like more rib longline vests I think but with good pigment. Then could wear with scarf. The place I'm going to can get quite warm so layers needed in case. Not as hot as in August though when I was a student there and would come back to the flat and sit in a cold bath! Yes to 'cake popping'!

OllieinOrange · 23/03/2012 09:33

I loved my grey pin tuck tunic last year Bloss. I wore mine with white jeggings

Gap as some nice longline vests in their Pure collection at the moment - not ribbed tho.

(Is anyone else mildly amused at the image of me bopping Picked with a cake pop Grin)

MrsCampbellBlack · 23/03/2012 09:59

MIM - hope feeding is going better today. Echo others re. lansinoh but also do check your latch (sure you've done this already).

Hi Suburban - lovely blog!

Gorgeous day here - in my lavender skinnies and mih star embroidered shirt.

Blue - the j brand 811 in white are fab and nice and skinny. I also rated Miss Selfridge super skinnies - very similar to the jamies.

Blue t shirt for you Bloss ?

VerityBrulee · 23/03/2012 10:21

Oh MiM you poor thing, hope you get a bit of rest today (((hugs)))

Ollie I hear you re the cake pops! I made them last year for dd's birthday and never again. Ever. ever.ever Grin

NY hope the first leg of your trip went well and you are relaxing in the sun Smile

MrsCB I love, love, love that NF jacket, a great buy as are Decameron tops, I love the stripes and the Boden.

Bloss v Envy of your trip, I would love some proper good weather. It's lovely and sunny today but still chilly

Urgh, we are having a hard time with ds2 who is nearly 12. I suspect he has my OCD tendencies with the internet, with me it's MN and blogs, mine craft and youtube for him. So I have decided we are going to have a 'digital detox' this weekend - no screens of any kind Shock I predict lots of bickering, games of Monopoly and fresh air!

VerityBrulee · 23/03/2012 10:22

Annie you always find great things in charity shops Envy Any that I go into, full of hope, are full of second-hand Primark!

OllieinOrange · 23/03/2012 10:24

Has anyone seen the striped circle sweater in Gap in real life - just about to order and now wonder if the stripes are black and not navy?

here

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2012 10:26

Suburban great blog. Stick around, you have great tips.

MiM yes to lanisoh and a big latch on. Great to hear from you.

Ny happy travels. Big wave to lovely Aus.

In the sunny park will catch up properly later. Small bag, comfy Lanvin flats. Light and easy!

Oh I love this dress and scarf

Hopefully · 23/03/2012 10:49

MrsCB love the dress and scarf, really nice summer wear.

I really need some spring clothes - I am over heating for the second day in a row, in my cashmere cardigan.

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2012 10:51

Ooh very nice, especially together .

Decameron · 23/03/2012 11:11

Suburban, I also like your blog.

Mim, hope you are getting as much rest as possible. Well done for persevering on the bf, I gave up at that point.

I got a card from my friend to say thanks for always been there, it made my day.

I loved the Faraway tree books too.

Mominatrix, can we say 11.30 instead (lunchtime for the baby .. who is now sleeping again, yay!). Could you please send me a pm and we can pick a location offline? We don't want a Prada dress stalker to mug us! Reine, are you around too?

The Me & Em dress arrived and does not pass the Roxy test so back it goes. I feel I am therefore allowed to order the jeans I wanted, these Paige ones. They are very me!

COMEBACK30 gives £30 off at Donna Ida, if you are still tempted to order the MiH Paris jeans, Blue.

The Boden broderie top is lovely. Postman is fed up with me and my deliveries, I'd say! I've also just ordered the Velvet top Amber found. A friend is coming from Miami soon so had it sent to her to avoid customs!

Enjoy the sun. I am taking the DDs for a picnic later.

Decameron · 23/03/2012 11:12

Lovely outfit, MrsCB.

VerityBrulee · 23/03/2012 11:14

That dress and scarf combo is great. MrsCB will you please stop tempting me with your links, I am supposed to be focusing my spending on kitchen taps and door handles and the like Wink

Annie I think it is the quality of charity shop that is my problem, I need to go further afield I think!

Reine did you ever do the mood board for your dolls house? Grin

Decameron · 23/03/2012 11:14

Oh and lovely Whistles top, Bloss. Enjoy Barcelona. DD1 has already packed her Trunki for Dublin, we aren't going for another week but she is so excited to visit her grandpa again.

Portia4 · 23/03/2012 11:21

Morning All Smile

Mim Hope that you are taking it easy today and letting others do the work.

Ollie you are a superstar in the birthday department, I truly feel seriously inadequate!

Another lovely day here, not as warm as the Uk but it's bright and not raining!

VerityBrulee · 23/03/2012 11:22

This is my inspiration for dd's new room, I have found this wallpaper which is exactly right (pinker in RL) so I am v pleased.

Teenage boys trickier though Confused
