Have an amazing time ny and hope your poor DD feels 100% very soon.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 20:10

Am in cake pop hell.
Never. Again.

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/03/2012 20:11

Time to distress some bought mince pies Ollie Wink

Mominatrix · 22/03/2012 20:40

Decameron: 11 would be perfect. Where shall we meet?

ny: bon voyage! Hope that DD perks up during the hols.

Emo: that is one hot dress, and would look amazing on you.

blue: love the colour of the trousers...well, I would say that as I purchased a jumper in that exact colour.

Ollie: you are a much nice DIL than I am (I banned them from my house until each child was 3 months old). Cake pops - you are brave! I would have outsourced.

Red: like very much the shirt. Red/white jean would be great, and so would black (like in the photo), khaki, green.

BLue: have you checked out the Zara website? I seem to recall loads of white trouser options.

CHOOGIRL · 22/03/2012 21:05

Feel your pain Ollie purchased the Lakeland Cake Pop maker which I've used once.

Can't believe your hols have come around already NY have an amazing time

Posted last night, but seems to have disappeared congratulations MIM

My SIL is a serious cake baker, she really does produce things of beauty, and has recently diversified into cake pops. I believe she has a mould of some description. I did the cakes for my own wedding, which has put me off a bit.

hopefully I am so pleased with them, they are real leather and everything! Makes me so happy when (for once) something I LOVE is cheap!

Ps- all shoes made the trip....

Party sounds great Ollie- you could always try party planning as part of a portfolio career. Your ideas are always fab.

FritziGreenEyes · 22/03/2012 21:38

ny Have a fantastic holiday, mwah!

amber Ohhh, I love that silver belt! Which size did you get? I always end up with belts that are either too long or not long enough.

emo Love the sound of that bar Smile.

ollie I am blissfully unaware of what cake pops / pop cakes (?) are. Glad you survived MIL's visit. Which demo did she go to?

Spend hours in the garden, digging and ripping out plants that are just plain ugly. My hands are ruined but it was a gorgeous day here today. Garden looks a bit bare now. Time to buy plants tomorrow I guess Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 22/03/2012 21:40

What do we think of this short parka? Mumsy or Marniesque?

AmberNectarine · 22/03/2012 21:41

I got Medium fritzi, which is perfect for me. I'm a 27/28 in J Brands if that helps...

I like that jacket fritzi, don't think it's mumsy at all.

Great news NY hope you have an amazing holiday. It will be quiet around here without you. Delighted to hear all the shoes made it. And rightly so!
Must look up cake pops now, although I am with MCB and the "distressing" of the mince pies. But every time I get sucked into making something. I obviously feel I need to compensate in some way for being a full time working mum, along the lines of "I'm not too negligent if I can bake am I?"

FritziGreenEyes · 22/03/2012 21:46

amber That's because you are young Wink

rufus101 · 22/03/2012 21:47

And I do like that jacket Fritzi. For all you Marni people there is a sale on [http://www.gilt.com/ this website called Gilt]] today.

Ollie those pop cake things look amazingly yum. Not surprised you are licking the bowl.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 21:54

All done thank goodness. You have my permission to shoot me if I ever say the following words "now cake pops, they look a breeze to make"

Fritzi cake pops are literally cake lollipops on sticks: you crumble some cake, mix with butter icing, roll into balls, coat with icing/chocolate/candy melts and cover with decorations. Sounds easy right? As Jillain would say, "think again buddy". Smile

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 21:57

Oh Annie I remember longing for popcakes when reading TMFAT. I always wanted one that would explode and fill my mouth with toffee!

Hopefully · 22/03/2012 21:57

Cake pops sound good Ollie! Annie i used to love the faraway tree books, read them about 3,000 times. Speaking of baking, I made some spectacularly inedible muffins today. Healthy whole foods + muffin recipe = congealed rabbit food + (organic) chocolate chips

fritzi parka looks good.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 22:00

Fritzi I like that parka a lot. Am very inspired by Bloss's purchase and now looking out for one. The one I tried in M&S was lovely, but not on website.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 22:02

Has anyone else been on a post-MU diet this week? ive eaten a ton of bread, drunk wine everynight and my chocolate mini eggs consumption has gone through the roof! Back to Shred tomorrow.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 22:03

Oh NY are you at the airport by now? How exciting. Have a fantastic time, would love little updates if poss, esp on your shoe situation!

Hopefully · 22/03/2012 22:06

Ollie I have been attempting to be back on the Master your Metabolism health kick, but have jut consumed half a bar of amazing dark milk chocolate (54% cocoa solids - perfect) Blush. I put on 2lbs over the weekend which I was expecting to fall off this week. They haven't. I blame the cocktails and the four pastries and fry up for breakfast.
