I prefer a weekday during half term but go ahead if a Sat suits the rest of you better.

blue2711 · 22/03/2012 14:08

Quick question re mih Paris for those who have them or have tried them. How skinny are they? Am just about to order from MW (along with decameron's navy fahri top!) but bit concerned about ankle opening looking a bit flappy (!).

Decameron · 22/03/2012 14:08

Amber are you going back to work in July?

Hehe, Marsha, I always take a bit off the cost too. And he's still shocked. He couldn't care less about his own clothes but I do trust him. So shirt is going back. Think I will get this instead. Looks a little more fitted.

Decameron · 22/03/2012 14:09

Blue, I feel very proud you have bought the two tops I have!
I tried the MIH paris on, not flappy around the ankle as far as I recall.

blue2711 · 22/03/2012 14:13

Forgot to say it's the white ones I want. Not sure they look that great on the model though... Why are there so few good white jeans about??

Hopefully · 22/03/2012 14:15

Can't copy and paste as am on phone, but will add myself to list later. Weekdays marginally more convenient.

Have just bought v cheap bag to see me through until I actually decide what I want. Cheap and cheerful.

blue2711 · 22/03/2012 14:16

Thanks Decameron. Yes thanks for the great links, loving your style! I too am a little creative and evasive about price tags when necessary!

blue2711 · 22/03/2012 14:19

Nice bag! I was just thinking about marsha's bag yesterday and thinking I would like a much, much cheaper bright bag myself.

IceCreamCastles · 22/03/2012 14:22

Tentatively putting my name down for wafty June meet up if it's on a weekday in half term.

Things going well here . ds pretty contented and sleeping for a good few hours at a time at night. Dd seems happier. She is relying on dh a lot more which is good in a way but makes me feel a bit sad as she has always been such a mummy's girl.

Completely expect things to change soon and get harder again.

Looking forward to hearing all about mim's baby girl

Any day good for me for summer London MU.

Decameron - would love to join you in a trip to Westfield on Tuesday. I didn't get around to picking up my dress yet, and it is at the Westfield store. What time are you going to be there?

Hopefully - like the bag - particularly the colour, and very practical with LOs about

I use the same calculation as Marsha and still get shocked looks. My reply is that at least they are practical and useful, unlike his photographs. My style is slightly different than his - less conservative in style and less fitted (most of the time). He always comes around though and eventually loves the things I buy.

OOD: blue and white DVF shift dress, white Zara blazer, Marant-ish tan suede ankle boots, cerise long scarf. Feeling very cheerful due to the sun.

Fleecy · 22/03/2012 14:38

Been busy with work for a few days and missed all the excitement - big congratulations to you mim and your family.

icey glad it's going well. My DD1 was so looking forward to DD2 but was rather disappointed with the reality, especially as she also started school around the same time as the baby arrived and ended up feeling very left out, despite our best efforts. SHe now adores DD2 and is very good with her.

ollie I also have that navy H&M cardi - such a bargain.

Farhi stuff reminds me of fle - didn't you wear a Farhi skirt to the Selfridges meet-up?

Was sorry to miss the chance to stroke your lovely bag last weekend marsha - are you loving it even more now that the sun is out?

Am feeling all spring-like and colourful today in red jeans, green vest, navy cardi, cream ballet flats and butterfly print scarf that pulls it all together.

Russianred · 22/03/2012 14:43

Lovely to hear from you Icey and so glad to hear that things are going well - DD will come back to you. I felt like we had a real split down the family here; me with DD and DH and DS off and busy, but balance was restored quite quickly.

Yes, I need a cheap bag to take to SA - cross-body and bright is what I'm looking for. Any spots?

DH has no idea when it comes to my clothes situation. It probably speaks volumes about how predictable I am that he never notices anything new. He likes me best in skinny jeans, trainers and a t-shirt. Simple tastes.

Half term is better for me really for a summer waft, although weekends in June/July are equally plausible, preferably a Saturday.

Russianred · 22/03/2012 14:54

Have just ordered this bargainous shirt, which I'm thinking will be nice with red or white jeans.

Decameron · 22/03/2012 14:56

Mominatrix, how about 10.30/11? I just tried to send you a pm with my mobile but couldn't.

ICC, glad you are getting on well.

Blue, I want white jeans as well. Tried on the baxters but they are too low. I am thinking of white Goldsigns but have reservations due to food flinging baby.

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 15:31

Gah, MIL is visting which she rarely does but went on a demo close by (dont ask) Asked her last night if she wanted to have dinner with the boys, said no but has just changed her mind when she heard it was roasted sausages (From m&s, the last of my freezer stockpile) Hate having to try and eek an extra portion out of nothing.

Am also trying to make cake pops for DS2 to take to school tomorrow and had a few "seems like a lot of work if you ask me" comments. Am rising above it by taking huge fingers licks of cake pop mixture quite frankly. Wink

OllieinOrange · 22/03/2012 15:42

Red thats a great shirt. Am going to order the white striped jumper you linked to yesterday, if only just to see if its white, white (now to be known as Bloss White Smile or off white.

Racerback vest fans - these from Gap are incredibly soft, tad long thohere

Really hot and sunny here today, far too hot in my jersey blazer when helping with a school trip. Speaking of which, DH doesnt like the grey bf blazer one I brought on Saturday. Says its too baggy. Another one who likes form fitting clothes obviously.

Emo76 · 22/03/2012 16:06

decameron I love the look of that jigsaw shirt - already sould out in my size boo hoo!

everything the DP dress is ON today - I think you wear it much better but I am still pleased with it and hoping it passes the washing challenge at the weekend! For the lurkers here's the link again let's see if it sells out! ink dress I love

bit hungover today having had somewhat epic night out with clients last night including dinner at a very fun restaurant which has a champagne ordering button at the table (fritzi I think you'd especially approve!) and then Annabels which has a fascinating crowd of uncles and nieces and the like.

bretonbee · 22/03/2012 16:33

Is half term the last week in May? If so am off work that week as nanny away so any day fine for me too (normally work Mon to Thurs) ...on that note better get back to it....

AmberNectarine · 22/03/2012 16:41

decameron taking a little career break to dodge the Olympics so due back in Sept. Tried on the navy NF top and grey version of the red stripe one you bought and loved both. Ebaying tonight.

blue you can always return if they don't fit. I am looking for similar but cheaper for same reason as decameron, if only TS did white Jamies!

Bought these cute sandals and this silver belt which I was very pleased with as have been looking for one for a while, and it was a bargain!

Hi all.

In car on the way to the airport. Dd has been seen by GP and consultant and cleared fit to fly. We have been given strong antibiotics to take with us, but we don't actually need to give them to her unless she worsens as she doesn't actually have an infection - and ears are clear thankfully. Dh and I are not looking forward to spending the next 4 nights trying to sleep next to her and her hacking cough either on a plane or in a hotel room... At least when we get to Oz we have more spacious accommodation.

Chosen Vins deliciously comfortable black skinnies to travel in, with purple ruched sleeve top and black worker boots.

Emo- love that dress and think you will rock it

Love the sound of the wAfty meet-up but June looks crazy at the mo. will see what date you have decided on when I get back and come along if we can.

may get a chance to pop in at some point in the future-but if not, have fun in my absence!

Emo76 · 22/03/2012 17:42

HAPPY TRAVELS NY have an amazing time
did the shoes all make it in the case?

blue2711 · 22/03/2012 17:50

Have a great time ny and family!

Great minds, amber, I keep checking TS to see if any white Jamies have appeared! Decided against the mih Paris, seemed silly to order something that I was so unsure about. Thinking about a third pair of Jamies in this colour, it says peppermint but looks more blue to me. Think I may do big TS order later as DH not back until 10pm.

Have ordered this shirt, inspired by Wendy here

Probably back again later!

IceCreamCastles · 22/03/2012 19:11

Hope you have a wonderful time NY and that dd feels better soon

Hopefully · 22/03/2012 19:27

NY have a great time! Hope your DD recovers quickly.

Emo can imagine the DP dress working for you. Your life sounds approximately 1,045 times more glamorous than mine, incidentally Grin

Amber love those sandals, may have to investigate since I just sent back all my Aldo ones. Sigh. I hate shoe shopping.

Mom the bag is tiresomely practical, but at least it's a cheery colour, and a distinct improvement on the canvas shopper I have been using for the past six months couple of weeks.

I have just ordered this M&S dress. Not sure if it will work or not, but free delivery to store and free returns, so don't feel obliged to like it.

Portia4 · 22/03/2012 19:35

Bon voyage Ny hope that you have a great holiday.

Lovely dress Hopefully.
