What size is your Janice Georgina? Am sure you'd get some takers on here (any chance it's an 8? Smile)

GeorginaWorsley · 14/03/2012 22:30

Red unfortunately it is a 12 Grin
Maybe if it was an 8 I would wear it!

OllieinOrange · 14/03/2012 22:37

Just hosted Book Club which was lovely. No book this month so lots of wine, nibbles and chat with 2 new members. Got some fab sounding books coming up for those looking for a new read:

  • Girl Reading by Katie Ward
  • Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
  • A Prayer for Owen Meany by Joh Irving
  • The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes
  • Memoirs of An Imaginary Friend by Matthew Green (this one looks especially good)

Red SNAP! I ironed my PJs on Sunday evening too - DH was wtf?!

GW I am hopeless at styling clothes. Just wear with tights and shoeboots - could maybe do with a necklace but no idea what sort of style. When I tried it on, I was trying to make the neckline go off centre in the style of the grey HL dress I sent back. Not sure it worked like that - DH didnt think so....

I am more excited about Saturday's daytime outfit tbh.

pickledsiblings · 14/03/2012 23:39

Been out since 3pm and not long back - parents meeting x2, Pizza Express and High School Rock concert Hmm. It was good fun actually and DS2 managed to stay awake until the 2nd half.

Red, planned Saturday's outfit last night - JBrand Blue Bonnets, white Jigsaw shirt (oversized on me) and my Dune poor man's Jalouse boots Grin. I wanted to wear my grey pleather jacket with them but DH wasn't convinced. Instead I will be wearing my new H&M checked reefer type coat thing.

NY, I love your description of you Grin. Bloss, yours of you, not so much - curly and haggard made me LOL. You are far too serene to ever look haggard.

Roll on Saturday...

blue2711 · 15/03/2012 04:54

Envy of all the MU talk and enjoying the outfit panic! Please promise us non-attendees that there will be a detailed account of outfits and accessories.

Really pleased to hear you're home icey. Tears are an unavoidable part of the newborn experience. I'm emotional at the best of times so right now I am a weeping mess! I'm sure your DD will adapt quickly and happily and you should feel that you've given her a precious gift, a sibling. I've been shocked but thrilled at how easily DS has embraced his little sister into his life.

Hopefully back tomorrow with more S and B matters and some links. By the way, these nights are taking their toll on my face! Anyone have a great eye cream / dark circles concealer recommendation please?!

OllieinOrange · 15/03/2012 07:01

Pickled what are you wearing in the evening? Love the sound of your new coat. Look forward to seeing it.

A little 'Damian Lewis and George Clooney on the same page' treat for to brighten up your Thursday morning! here

Hopefully · 15/03/2012 07:02

Pickled sounds like a busy evening! Did you wear something suitably rock 'n' roll to the rock concert?

FLE glad you'll get some relaxing time! I might join you for a bit of rugby cheering, although I have been horribly out of touch with it this time.

Anyone else Grin at the idea of Amber in orthopaedic shoes while sporting her super-stylish wardrobe from the ankle up?

Am feeling all full of energy this morning, as I always do after a light dinner. Does anyone else find that? Have a freshly baked loaf taunting me from the bread bin though!

AmberNectarine · 15/03/2012 07:10

Hopefully the utter tragedy of my bad back means that I am often to be found in fitflops... I know, and yes, it does look as crap as one might imagine, but they are the only shoes that don't leave me with shooting pains down my legs by the end of the day. Really shouldn't wear heels at all TBH but I'm 27, god damn it, and I'm not ready to start ordering my shoes from then back of a Mail on Sunday supplement.

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/03/2012 07:33

Oh very pleased with today's outfit - inspired by Isabel Marant aw12 - am wearing red paris, next leopard print kitten heels, white American vintage long sleeved top and last year's navy whistles spring coat.

Red - just writing note now for hermes delivery guy - fingers crossed he'll leave parcel.

Intrigued by Marsha's Blush

Local man very flirty with me too - however he is 70 if a day Wink

Bonsoir · 15/03/2012 07:46

You sound very fashion-forward, MrsCampbellBlack.

I had my second Marni @ H&M day yesterday and I think I liked my outfit even more than the first one. I wore the white/brown silk zigzag dress with the grey striped cardigan (this is a very glamorous combination, for any of you who have ordered both) and the white flower necklace. I put the navy parka over the top later in the day. Wore grey cotton fine-ribbed tights and black knee high suede boots on my legs as it is still quite chilly, despite the bright sunshine.

I'm going out to lunch later with DP to a new restaurant with a glam terrace in our neighbourhood and will be trying out another new Marni @ H&M ensemble - am thinking the brocade trousers with the silk zigzag sleeveless top, and a cardigan. I can't wait for all you other posters to get your orders and hope that some of you like it all as much as me (and have some styling tips!).

blossoming · 15/03/2012 08:01

Your outfit sounds fab-u-lous mrscb.
I have woken with a migraine. Bleurgh.

Hopefully · 15/03/2012 08:09

Grrrr, have just gone to wax my legs and the wax keeps peeling of the strips and staying on my legs. That'll teach me to risk the budget option. Now I have to schlep to boots and demand an exchange and try to find time to do it this evening. Angry

Ps, love your outfit Marsha, and the Marni combinations Bonsoir.

Hopefully · 15/03/2012 08:10

I meant MrsCB! Although I'm sure you look fab today too Marsha Blush

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2012 08:14

No DVF for kids on GAP's EU site, grrr...

Went to bed at eight yesterday Blush. Still no idea what to wear for MU. The outfit I have put together in my head will probably look terrible. Also I don't know what shoes to wear for day if it is going to rain. I so wanted to wear ballet flats and trench. Will I have to wear boots and Pure jacket now!?!?!

notyummy · 15/03/2012 08:14

Morning all!

Can't see your hand in front of your face in Lincolnshire! Interesting drive to Nottingham this morning...

Pickled - hope you enjoyed the concert. It is a ridiculously long time since I went to see any live music (unless you count the Lion King on stage Hmm.) We used to go regularly before DD.

Ollie - good selection of books there. I haven't read any of them, although I have heard that A Prayer for Owen Meany can be quite hard going. I am currently reading 'A Quiet Vendetta' by RJ Ellory which is quite absorbing, and 'Enigma' by Robert Harris.

Most impressed by the sound of both Bonsoir's and MrsCB's outfits. I am wearing the Dotty P bargainous stripey dress (think you tried it on FLE?) which I think I managed to de-sexify enough for work by wearing with my new long sleeved navy tee from Gap underneath and dark blue opaques and heels. dress&pageSize=20 Here it is. Doesn't look it, but is actually quite va-va-voom.

You are really working the marni bonsoir! The outfits sound gorgeous. Love your outfit today too mrscb.

I approve of SamCam's outfits stateside, particularly the Roksana Illinic dress.

Hope migrane clears up bloss.

Liking my outfit today too: navy skinnies, pink and white striped breton (really recommend the jigsaw ones) and grey leopard flats. Grey cotton trench for outside later.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2012 08:16

marsha I like the gold clutch best, although it depends a bit on what you are wearing.

notyummy · 15/03/2012 08:18

Sympathies on the migraine Bloss - paracetemol and codeine?

Blue - I am still a touche eclat girl myself. Am using Clarins Extra Firming Eye Contour cream at the moment and it seems pretty good.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2012 08:24

Ok, so the only MU outfit I have decided on are my PJs. But they are not ironed. There is no hope for me... I will have to hide under a pile of coats at the back of the cave and update thread with details of gorgeous outfits around me.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2012 08:28

georgina My Janice is a 12 and I still love it! Wearing it today with pale purple opaques (still cold here), grey Belstaff boots and navy chunky cashmere cardigan. Sounds odd but I am deluded enough to think it works.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2012 08:34

Oh, so many x-posts already.

Gorgeous outfits mrscb and bonsoir!

bloss Hope you'll feel better soon!

ollie Great link! I actually like Anna W.'s dress a lot, wouldn't suit me but on her it's fab.

notyummy · 15/03/2012 08:39

I don't like George C with a beard at the White House dinner. Doubt that he will be crying himself to sleep over that though....

Am also attempting to channel a bit of French chic after a terrible night with my cream (bad for a winter I know) mango Marantesque honeycomb knit, red 811s, Tan NL boots and black/cream check Maje scarf. Even though colours wrong I like. Am annoyed with DH as he has done his usual trick of eating dodgy food after a few drinks and has given himself mild food poisoning, so is working from home, mightily getting in my way and also robbing me of the excuse to go into town as I was supposed to be meeting him for lunch! Being my usual sympathetic self as you can see.

bloss my sympathies re. Migraine. Been suffering a lot lately and would second ny's suggestion.

Loving all the outfits, a stylish morning in W&A world!

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2012 09:01

Thanks Fritzi I am getting Matches to make sure gold Raoul and MJ Bianca are in store on Saturday and have ordered raspberry Chloe from NaP for comparison. Will zip into town on Sat and also try Carven and Iro dress.

Haha Hopefully. I do like my outfit today too. Sandro crochety knit with bright orange trim, Stella moto skinnies and Stella green coat. Feeling fresh and punchy - colourwise that is Grin.

Great on here outfits today.

In cafe with Vogue, espresso. Some nice stuff in it.
