icey Sorry, forgot to say: Beautiful name for your beautiful boy. Loved the pic you put on FB. Smile

notyummy · 13/03/2012 08:40

Morning all!

Slay- So sorry to hear about your recent loss.

What a gorgeous name Icey- so lovely to hear from you.

FLE- doesn't matter a bit where the dress is from if it is 'the one'!

Mom- will PM you.

Have arrived at breakfast meeting where I am giving 'keynote address' (their description, not mine) to find there is a press call with photos after. Argh!! Reasonably happy with outfit- silk patterned A Wear skirt with blue silk blouse and blazer. Really wished I had swish tap buffed though....

Gorgeous Marni dress, Fritzi. Are you going to buy it?

I wore one of my Marni @ H&M outfits yesterday and got a lot of compliments Smile.

Icey - congratulations on your baby boy - lovely name!

Russianred · 13/03/2012 08:52

Yes Ollie snap re. white shirt. I'm after an oversized, yet still fitted (is this possible?) one, which has a curved hem at the back (sure there is a technical term - bibbed? Caped?). It must not be silly money either. Please do link if you see any.

Bonsoir · 13/03/2012 09:11

RussianRed - I have a gorgeous oversized, but still fitted, white shirt from the Glanshirt AW11 collection. Glanshirt is my first port of call for really lovely shirts.

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/03/2012 09:12

Icey - lovely name!

I drove after 3 weeks with all mine - just had to let Dr's know I was going too for insurance purposes (varies from each insurance company as to requirements)

I also did way too much lifting etc afterwards which didn't help as bled a lot but had little choice to be honest as DS was only 19 months. So do try and do as little lifting as possible. But I do think it helps to keep active and not sit in the same position for too long as this made me feel more sore.

Fritzi - gorgeous dress!

Red - nothing here as yet - hoping it comes today but now a bit worried about returns as sounds a bit tricksy with h&m

pickledsiblings · 13/03/2012 09:13

Hopefully, the job situation is a pain but the important thing is that you and DH are talking to each other and being open and honest about your needs. Everything will be fine and three weeks will fly by.

Red, I'm stll in bed with my 2 boys. DS1 up in the night sick - DH is a complete star as he dealt with the fallout (lots of lego washing). DS2 is definitely < 100%. I recommend a lovely woodland walk for you guys.

Icey, hope they are looking after you well and that you make a speedy recovery - you've got age on your side for that Smile. You'll be able to read about the MU escapades for a bit of light relief - can't promise any stunts this time though

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/03/2012 09:15

Oh and exercise - well do take it very easy. I ran after 3 months and it was too soon to be honest.

Hopefully · 13/03/2012 09:28

Red I think I will wear Me & Em unless someone else has dibs on it as, erm, it's my only dress Grin.

NY you sound so important. I have literally never been in a position where a photo call was likely, unless you count passport applications. This will make any drunken MU antics all the more entertaining.

Have just returned to my sitting room to find DS2 has shredded an envelope, chewed it, and flung raisins everywhere. I was out of the room for about 150 seconds.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2012 09:36

bonsoir It is now available in my size and I am oh so tempted to order it just to see what it feels and looks like in RL. But how and when would I wear it. It is too much as a "school run" dress I think. Would it look to prim with flats and a card? Too much with heels? Could I wear it with my trench for our trip to Paris before Easter?

FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2012 09:37

hopefully I think the MU should be turned into a Me&Em flashmob: You, ollie, ants, emo... anyone else?

Bonsoir · 13/03/2012 09:40

Fritzi - it's not a school run dress. A Ladies Who Lunch dress, perhaps? Do you have a Lunch Committee? Wink And if not, maybe you could chair one? Just think of all the dress-wearing occasions you could generate...

pickledsiblings · 13/03/2012 09:40

Fritzi, I was thinking of those 3 as Charlie's Angels - Ollie in the grey flanked by the brunettes in the navy. What are you wearing?

FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2012 09:46

bonsoir I'm class rep and that doesn't involve any lunches. All suggestions I have made and activities I have organized have been met with very stern disapproval from one or the other parents and I have given up TBH Confused. I guess I could always encourage DH to take me out for more lunches though. I wouldn't tell him that the cost for our lunches would include a new 700 Euro dress Smile.

pickled I have honestly no idea what I am going to wear for the MU. You?

Bonsoir · 13/03/2012 09:49

Fritzi - I used to be class rep and it didn't involve any glamour either. But I have made friends with like-minded school mothers through being class rep and we now have a parallel life that involves generating dress-wearing occasions in glamorous locations as often as possible Smile.

pickledsiblings · 13/03/2012 10:18

Silver pistols - reminds me of the time when my DB and his girlfriend sprayed their DMs silver - I was about 8 at the time and v. impressed.

ApuskiMcClusky · 13/03/2012 10:25

Ooh, Marni for H&M order just arrived!

pickledsiblings · 13/03/2012 10:30

Bonsoir, these Chloe ballerinas remind me of those Tod ones you were in love with last year - they also come in gold.

MyTheresa has the most fabulous collection of shoes. Must stop drooling and do some housework.

Will check back later to see what you thought of your Marni haul Apuski - hope it's good for you.

Bonsoir · 13/03/2012 10:55

I hope you are doing a massive try on, Apuski.

I never bought those Tod's ballerinas, pickled. They just didn't suit me Sad

ApuskiMcClusky · 13/03/2012 11:02

Back again! And I am keeping .... nothing Sad. I know it's meant to be loose but everything is too big for me.

I just had a look at eBay and it looks as though things aren't selling as well now, so I think I will just return them. Ah well, the shopping was fun!

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2012 11:18

What a shame Apuski. Did you have a favourite despite the size issue?

I have ordered some cheapy rose gold ballet flats from theoutnet for when I might be in a mud/grass park and don't want to wear Lanvins.

Not much on there but thought it was worth a try as so reduced.

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2012 11:21

Icey what a lovely name and a lovely post!
