So I am curvy with a big bust and big bottom and a comparitively little waist I'm somewhere between a 12/14, jeans has always given me a bit of a muffin top but now I have a little post baby belly I've started to loath them. I'm always having to hoik them up as they slip down, I never feel comfortable in them so I QUIT!!! I want to wear dresses, nice comfy day dresses that accentuate my curvy-ness in a good way, so anyone got any suggestions for a jeans free life?

Right decision made. 3 DP dresses being kept and 2 TK Maxx dresses going back. Opposite reactions from my family than I expected! I bought these shoes to wear with my dresses when casual. Will wear ballet pumps or sandals to work. Am watching some ebay dresses too.

I have just received the H&M £1.99 dresses, I bought the red, black and the light blue patterned, I am a 14-16, 5ft 5in.

I really like them, they are t-shirt types, the top fits me perfectly and I'm quite big on top, I will probably wear a top underneath, as I don't like showing off said big boobs :-)

It skims the tummy just nicely & the hemline sits just on my knee.

I ordered the Medium.

Any ideas for shoes to wear with them ladies?

I received one of my H&M dresses on Saturday (red one). I got the 14/16 (usually a 12-14) and its fine sizewise. It wasn't gapey at the boobs at all and ok without anything underneath (my boobs 36 dd) and was long enough (im 5ft7 )

I did think the material was a bit clingy on the legs (when you walked) but I wore and underskirt ( Old lady emotion) and it hung much better. I also added a thicker belt.

But for 1.99 a total bargain. I did order a good fortnight ago and only part of my order has arrived, but can forgive them for there piss poor delievery!

I wore the red one with a big thick grey belt, grey tights grey boots and a grey cardigan. and a red and grey spotty scarf.

Mine have just arrived too - haven't tried them on yet. I'm 5'9" and hoping they're not indecently short...

IHeartKingThistle · 19/03/2012 17:41

I'm 5 9 too - they seem fine with tights, will see how brave I am in the summer!

H&M £1.99's arrived today. Had 3 in small and one in medium (as that was all I could get at the time. I am prob a 10-12 on top and 12-14 on bottom normally. So OF course the small fits me perfectly on top and the medium fits better on my bottom half. I am keeping them all!!! Will wear the larger one always with a top underneath but the smaller ones will be great in the summertime (even if it just for around the house).

Surprisingly not gaping around boobs on either size, which had been my greatest concern. Probably better dresses out there but I am sure I will get some use out of them. Switch off - your styling sounds very special - I like.

I've lurked around on your thread but still a bit unsure about dresses and 32FF boobs. Traditionally dresses have been a disaster. I do have a couple for summer though (Boden casual jersey dress) so I will be joining you out of jeans when its properly warm ... Anyway, I wanted to say I watched Rachel Khoo in The Little Paris Kitchen yesterday and she was wearing lovely simple often patterned dresses with a cardigan tied over the boobs, tights and flat shoes and looked fantastic. Now she is stunning obviously but her shape looked to qualify her for this thread (based on OP) - she wasn't Lorraine Pascale shaped. And the dresses looked like the ones you have been linking to so accessible high street type. By jove, I think you're onto something. But I have no money ... Back to lurking!

Also chuffed with £1.99 frocks. Although may have to put a stitch in the boob area as it started out ok but I noticed it gapes slightly as time goes on.

Hi fives cabbageandbeans . Had actually started with black tights, black cardigan and black belt with red dress but it just looked wrong for daytime, looked a bit trying to hard . So rummaged about my drawers and the other choice of tights was grey, or navy. Debated navy but am always stuck for boots with navy (black/brown/tan - i don't have navy).

Was quite impressed when in my rummaging I discovered the prefect matching scarf.

Maybe I don't need to shop, just have a rummage in my cupbaords and lose 7 pounds so all my trousers fit again!
