Ok so totally random but trills you recommended Dressipi to someone on another thread. So i checked it out and it's fab. Very cool indeed.
Also the capsule wardrobe it recommended is all stuff I like(and own and wear) so I must be wearing clothes at suit me so I now feel very stylish even though I'm in sweats now
Cheers

I was going to say thanks to Trills also in the other thread, but I'll say it here instead. I've just spent the past half hour on dressipi and it really is amazing! The capsule wardrobe is great- some things I've already got but it's quite inspiring and has motivated me to feel fashionable again. Grin

BoomOoYattaTaTa · 01/03/2012 15:02

I'm just looking at it too. Is it free?

It's mentioning a 'promotional code' and having an account. Am I getting into something here which is going to cost lots or is it completely freeConfused (Sorry to be denseBlush)

herbaceous · 01/03/2012 15:39

I've just done it. It's rather good! Though slightly terrifyingly have to enter my measurements, which has stiffened my resolve to lose a stone.

It also says I shouldn't wear skinny jeans, which I know to be true but was deluding myself looked OK...

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:41

Totally free.

Apparently somewhere I can give you a signup link that gets me points, but I have no clue what the points are for.

Normal link

Link with my referral thingy

Use whichever you like :)

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:42

I love that they don't tell everyone to wear skinny jeans!

Hullygully · 01/03/2012 15:45

bloody awful

they want so much info, how the hell do i know what brand of trousers i have?

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:46

You look in the waistband and it tells you.

AbsofCroissant · 01/03/2012 15:48

It's true - I checked - they don't have Sainsbos listed.

Poor Hully Sad

AbsofCroissant · 01/03/2012 15:48

I just wish you'd told me, at least, about this site about say, 15 years ago. So many fashion disasters could have been avoided ...

Hullygully · 01/03/2012 15:48

oh yes, you make it sound so easy.

and I don't know my measurements (other than large) and I don't have a tape measure.

Or a dress. Or brand jeans.

humph

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:49

I shall tell them that they need to list supermarket brands of clothing too.

BlingLoving · 01/03/2012 15:50

I logged on. but it requires information I don'thave to hand. Plus I think my version of Microsoft is so old it's not working properly...

... needless to say, I'll be logging on at home!

AbsofCroissant · 01/03/2012 15:50

Imagine the MN version of this site

Capsule Wardrobe

Skinny Jeans
Converse
Layered vests
Tunics
Leggings

ARE YOU CRAZY?! Converse, at your age?
Of COURSE converse at my age, how dare you, blah blah blah

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:51

They don't recommend shoes, oddly enough. I guess there's not much way to say which shoes "suit" you.

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:51

What's a "layered vest"?

AbsofCroissant · 01/03/2012 15:53

You always have people coming on here and talking about wearing layered vests and t shirts.

Read - wearing lots of shirts at once in case a child throws up on you

Trills · 01/03/2012 15:53

I guess you have to whip it off quick so it doesn't soak through...

ripsishere · 01/03/2012 15:58

Your tall womanly silhouette has an enviably neat waist, not to mention shapely long legs and ample décolletage. Flaunt these assets to balance them out with your wider hip proportions. Wear clothes that add flattering volume up top and fuller skirts that skim over hips so they magically disappear. The result? A curvier Marilyn Monroe shape.
Ooooh, get me. I have a tall womanly silhouette.

ripsishere · 01/03/2012 15:59

I am actually a bit tall with a beer gut.
I did make up a couple of the measurements but will be back to check it all out.

OracleInaCoracle · 01/03/2012 16:01

"Slim and petite with long legs that?ll go on for miles if you wear a nude shoe! That?s you. Clothes will create that sought after curvy silhouette. Soften the look of your broad shoulders by placing your waspy waist and lovely legs in the limelight. Avoid styles that add bulk up top. By creating the illusion of volume at your hips, you will balance out your upper and lower silhouette magically."

disclaimer, my shoulders never used to be broad. my deformity its down to my ribs. but yes, very accurate.

covermeup · 01/03/2012 16:02

Oooh this sounds very interesting! Will check it out when I get home, doubt i'd get very far on the iPhone!

Trills · 01/03/2012 16:03

Haha, yeah the "description of you" is always a bit flowery!

Consider yourself the perfect blank fashion canvas, what with your straight up and down slim figure, not to mention great legs. Clothes are like magic markers - use them to conjure up the waist you thought you never had, and create sexy curves. A nude heel will elongate you legs. And voilà: beautifully balanced Scarlett Johansson proportions.

They know nothing about my legs, other than that they hold me up, so I don't really know why they think they are "great".

OracleInaCoracle · 01/03/2012 16:04

although it describes my style as glamorous. where it got that from I'll never know...

OracleInaCoracle · 01/03/2012 16:07

yep, my legs might be long (and they are for such a shortarse) but they aint great. a little knock-kneed, truth be told!

Lizzylou · 01/03/2012 16:38

Oh this is fabulous!

Someone was in a fabulous mood when they created you. Your willowy, slim, silhouette has perfectly balanced curves in all the right places, and a desirable small waist to highlight these. Not to mention legs that go on forever. Dressing is simply a matter of ?if you?ve got what every other women wants, flaunt it' - stylishly. We?ll show you how.
Ha ha ha !!!! Grin
I don't think even my PFB Mother would call me willowy. I like it though.

I have been recommended a metallic Herve Leger bandage dress.

I will wear it to DS1's football practice on Sunday.
