Ok so totally random but trills you recommended Dressipi to someone on another thread. So i checked it out and it's fab. Very cool indeed.
Also the capsule wardrobe it recommended is all stuff I like(and own and wear) so I must be wearing clothes at suit me so I now feel very stylish even though I'm in sweats now
Cheers

Indeed, Muslin. They told me not to wear skinny jeans or combats as they'd emphasise my arse-age, but then proceeded to throw tapered ? or, even worse, pleated - trousers at me, which would surely make me look even more parsnip-like.

PuffPants · 02/03/2012 11:34

I have filled it in (though form not very clear - is it my PC?) but can't see how to enter the info. Anyone advise?

Trills · 02/03/2012 11:37

At the top click on "Fashion Fingerprint" - and click "Edit" by "Body Shape" - it gives you a bunch of things that you can change.

MuslinSuit · 02/03/2012 11:40

Pleated, yegads! I live in skinnies. I've never got the whole thing about wearing voluminous things on top to balance out wide hips either - I have nice narrow shoulders and nonexistent small boobs, I like wearing fitted things on top to emphasise my smallest part, not add padding so I look like a heifer! Screw looking balanced, I want to look thin Grin

Will use the like and dislike knobs. Bit like Graze I guess.

They did just send me a nice email with some lovely white shirts though.

ripsishere · 02/03/2012 11:41

I got an email about white shirts.
I can't like or dislike. I don't have the work of the devil.

Trills · 02/03/2012 11:43

Everyone got white shirts, but in theory we got different white shirts. Last week it was "perfect pastels", and the week before was skirts, and the week before that "weekend jacket" (whatever that is).

ripsishere · 02/03/2012 11:51

My shirts were a nasty over the head one from H=M, a long floaty job from next and one I didn't open. It cost £180.

herbaceous · 02/03/2012 11:58

I have narrow shoulders, but big boobs, so can't even look thin. My waist is the only thing going for me. All the white shirts I got just would have hung straight from boobs to muffin top, adding two dresses sizes to my image. Mmm.

chickenfeet · 02/03/2012 14:49

Hmm fun but not overly useful. Why does it ask me what I do most of the time (sit on floor with small children) and then suggest to me a capsule wardrobe of shift dresses and pencil skirts? Confused

herbaceous · 02/03/2012 15:28

Yes, chickenfeet. It did the same to me. And another non-useful touch - recommended I buy v-neck shirt dresses, then had none to show me. Tsk.

hazchem · 02/03/2012 15:58

Oh I've just added measurements and it's totally changed it's recommendations about what trousers to wear.

I'm also not able to get a V neck shirt dress! And the a line skirts are a bit blah
On a positive note I'm wear a fab outfit today!

Hmm, sizing finder thingy a bit off. I put in that I wear an 8 in boden tops and 10 in their trousers and in the size finder it says I should wear 8s in most things in Karen Mullen (yeah right) and a 12 in dresses from Boden which would drown me.

To be fair I haven't put in measurements.

ObviouslyOblivious · 02/03/2012 18:11

Have you seen that we've got a mention on the Dressipi blog?

OracleInaCoracle · 02/03/2012 18:24

really?

OracleInaCoracle · 02/03/2012 18:29

waves back

I have to say, I looked at the stuff they have recommended for me, and some of it is lovely.

UntamedShrew · 02/03/2012 18:30

I had fun with this earlier, thanks Trills. My favourite white shirt was a Zara one.

I wish they'd help a bit more though with putting whole outfits together, that's what I really struggle with. I've loads of nice pieces but they don't often work together. And shoes!

Agree with the question about why ask how I spend my day. My day is on my knees with train sets or breastfeeding baby while breaking up toddler fights - and lots of my recommended items are super swishy cocktail dresses! Fun though but I'm more likely to buy the Zara shirt Smile

GrumpyCrossPatch · 02/03/2012 22:01

Has anybody managed to get it to recommend anything remotely casual? I'm quite good at dressing smartly but look like a charity bag explosion in casual life!

MuslinSuit · 02/03/2012 22:11

I have discovered that I love Balenciaga thanks to this site.
