Ok so totally random but trills you recommended Dressipi to someone on another thread. So i checked it out and it's fab. Very cool indeed.
Also the capsule wardrobe it recommended is all stuff I like(and own and wear) so I must be wearing clothes at suit me so I now feel very stylish even though I'm in sweats now
Cheers

"Your slender silhouette has enviable curves in all the right places, lovely legs and a tiny waist that draws attention to your perfectly balanced proportions. Dressing is a simple matter of if you?ve got what everyone else wants, flaunt it. Waist-cinchers are your best friend. Don?t even bother with clothes that swamp your frame."

check me

what pisses me off though, is that it proves that DP was right. Whenever he's all "don't buy clothes that make you look like a homeless hippy", that's what they say as well.

Damnit.

sonicrainboom · 01/03/2012 17:44

Fun site!
Apparently my style is "elegant" and I have been recommended neon apricot mini shorts Hmm
Are they recommending waist-cinchers to everyone?

KisMittz · 01/03/2012 17:50

Haven't had time but will make some later.. and thanks in advance Trills.... you lovely legged erm.. lovely you....

Trills · 01/03/2012 17:52

You can buy clothes that make you look like a homeless hippy if you want to look like a homelesss hippy!

Lizzylou · 01/03/2012 17:54

Mittz, funnily enough, my Dressipi description is actually you in rl!

I was feeling all cocky until I caught sight of my reflection in the mirror, ugh!

Still fancy a metallic Leger bandage dress though Grin Though am well jell of neon apricot shorts!

OhBuggerandArse · 01/03/2012 19:48

I think the whole of Mumsnet has gone on and broken it - can't get it to load at all!

ObviouslyOblivious · 01/03/2012 20:39

Perfectly petite, you?ve got that beautifully balanced and enviably curvy silhouette that all women aspire to. Wear clothes that illuminate your assets: the balanced curves, a waspy waist and those lovely legs. Waist-cinchers are your best friend. They accentuate your silhouette. Loose baggy clothes a waste of time. We?ll show you how to create the illusion of longer legs too.

It's like looking in the mirror :o Seriously, matches almost exactly when the JL stylist said last week, which is good :)

sonicrainboom · 01/03/2012 20:44

They seem awfully obsessed with waist-cinchers, showing off curves, or creating curves. What if I want a flat androgynous/1920's look huh dressipi?
I get breathing troubls just looking at some of those "waist defining" dresses...

FrozenPetisPois · 01/03/2012 20:44

Can anyone tell me what it means when it says 'Body Shape accuracy good' under the paragraph about myself?

FrozenPetisPois · 01/03/2012 20:45

And I had exactly the same paragraph as you ObviouslyOblivious

ClaraDeLaNoche · 01/03/2012 20:45

Yes site was overloaded. Great site thanks Trills. Was pleased with my assessment except for an issue with broad shoulders. Am now morified and worried about being Geoff Capesque. Will interrogate DH about this when he returns.

Trills · 01/03/2012 22:17

Did it advise you against military jackets if you have broad shoulders?

I think they need a wider variety of phrases. Either that or they didn't think there would be 30 of us all signing up and comparing notes here :o

DreamsInBinary · 02/03/2012 00:01

Same description as you, Trill. That'll do me :)

ObviouslyOblivious · 02/03/2012 06:36

I put some measurements in and got a different paragraph :

You have a perfectly petite frame boasting a neat waist, lovely shoulders and great legs. Highlight these fabulous assets and you?ll balance out your wider hip proportions with your upper silhouette. And this means an enviably sexier, curvier shape. Dresses and skirts with volume skim over hips and make them disappear. We?ll teach you a fashion trick or two to create the illusion of height.

peasandlove · 02/03/2012 07:49

that website is bloody brilliant. Shame I can only buy what I can source on Asos though

peasandlove · 02/03/2012 07:50

I was described as 'willowy' too, except for those damn broad shoulders Grin

OhBuggerandArse · 02/03/2012 07:51

I think the whole of Mumsnet has gone on and broken it - can't get it to load at all!

MiladyGardenia · 02/03/2012 08:10

Oh I did this yesterday, also on Trills' recommendation. The only trouble was that I couldn't see a measurement section for thunder thighs. Still great fun though AND now I might start looking elegant/preppy/polished and easily chic. (Instead of madwoman-got-dressed-in-dark-with-oven-mitts-on) Grin

BettyBathroom · 02/03/2012 09:11

Milady I had exactly the same thought as a fellow thunder thigh sufferer. They suggested I could wear any trouser but that simply isn't the case - trial and error has led me to aviod bootcuts - hourglass shaped legs are not good! But I'd be interested in further advice on how to slim my thighs down a little.

Trills · 02/03/2012 09:58

I agree - we need thigh and calf circumference. I don't want to wear pencil skirts because I have massive calves, ok?

BettyBathroom · 02/03/2012 10:42

Yes calf size measurements and due to my thunderous thighs I don't want to wear skirts above the knee. How about people with cankles too I bet they'd like something to capture that problem.

Trills · 02/03/2012 10:50

Cankles is a made up problem.

MuslinSuit · 02/03/2012 11:00

They are a bit keen on waist-cinching, which just doesn't work on my pearshaped figure! Also they recommend tapered trousers for me, which surely everyone knows are not for the ample of arse?

Fun site though, threw up some nice recommendations.

Trills · 02/03/2012 11:07

Just keep clicking "Like" and "Dislike" and maybe they will learn :)
