New one!

OP posts:

The Wendy love is wonderful; have also been sucked in and have spent much of the day mentally justifying the purchase of a pair of 50/50s. Still haven't justified it, but have seen a lovely pair of over-the-knee suede boots in Kurt Geiger that may be a happy medium.

Bloss what a PITA about your phone - my DH would have been much the same, he tends to think the worst in these situations. Lovely, lovely dress. Good to hear that you and Ant had such a good time.

Blue I agree that a cream Roxy wouldn't be such a wise investment. Did you try ringing Customer Services to locate one? They really are very good.

Marsha what a glorious sounding outfit. Glad you had a wonderful time.

NY the ball sounds like it was brilliant. There's a very nice parka in River Island at the moment - about £85 I think. Will go off and look in a moment. Mango also have some nice ones in.

Hello Sprogger, lovely to 'see' you. With the height, I think you could certainly pull off the maxi and it's a fab colour.

Names - were I to have another girl, I would probably call her Celia, although it would be a mouthful with our surname. DH is a big fan of Matilda. I love Beatrice and also rather like Beatrix. I wish that DD's middle name wasn't Eliza as I really, really love it. Eddie is gorgeous, DS was going to be Seth, then Ben, then Sam. Really, my two have my favourite names; Isaac and Nancy

Pickled a wait till March seems an awfully long one, will have everything crossed for you and DD (although it doesn't sound like DD needs it!). Congratulations on the interview - any more thoughts on your outfit.

Hope the dancefloor warmed up a bit Fritzi.

Vin it is wonderful to see you!

Big wave to everyone else.

Have had quite a quiet weekend, punctuated by the lurching from one house crisis to another. I will be so glad when this is all over. DH is on the brink of some kind of breakdown, bless him. DS and DD are, quite rightly, hampered by the lack of space to move around in and need more stability than they are getting right now. Blah blah..!

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 19:34

Marsha I absolutely did wear my gilet today. They'll be prying it off my cold, dead back. Tree looks good but light-less as we need an extension lead.

red link to the 5050 substitutes please!

icey DD was going to be Edward. She's not, for obvious reasons! Thea was very nearly her name though! Great choices.

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 19:40

Well, so far we have these Carvela ones and these Bertie ones. Admittedly, neither as nice as the 5050s, but potential there, I feel.

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 19:47

How about these bad lads.

OllieinOrange · 04/12/2011 19:49

Red KG normally do fab sales if you can wait....? Think there was a 40% off everything at one point?

DH and i couldnt agree between 2 names for DS2, until i was mid labour and then DH looked at me in earnest and said i should be the one to choose. I then promptly texted my Mum the nice news as she had issues with his choice!!!!

Panto visit seems to have backfired. Since we got home, DSs response to anything is "oh no we didn't" or "boo". Funny at first, now just tiresome!

OllieinOrange · 04/12/2011 19:51

The last link is fab-u-lous.

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 19:54

I could probably force myself to wait Ollie. Will be a challenge though. These sales need to begin!

Yes, last link the best, but not in my size. Grrr.

blossoming · 04/12/2011 20:52

What are 5050s?

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 20:54

Here they are Bloss. Can also be found in Russell & Bromley. As sported by everyone's NBF, Wendy.

blossoming · 04/12/2011 21:06

Thanks red, they are gorgeous. I was just reading her thanksgiving post. She is quite inspiring.

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 21:24

Oops, No spending ban lasted a whole day. eBay doesn't count though, does it??

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 21:26

What did you get Amber?

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 21:29

Wendy's blue J Brands Blush

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 21:33

They're sitting on my watch list! Have you tried them on anywhere - not sure if they come up small or big or whatl.

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 21:34

(Have also been searching for 5050s and Michael Kors knock-off. Shhhh Blush)

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 21:37

Haven't tried them on but was generally take 28 in J Brand so went for that. Hopefully they won't be like Earharts which come up MASSIVE!

redllamayellowllama · 04/12/2011 21:42

Yes, my Earharts were huge in a 26, which is what I am in other J Brands. I may well follow suit - they're very hard to find anywhere.

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 21:45

Doesn't Carciofi have the red? Maybe she can advise on fit [hopeful]

AmberNectarine · 05/12/2011 06:59

Annie I know what you mean - I definitely won't be attempting leather shorts any time soon [shudder] but reckon I can just about pull off the skinnies!

carciofi · 05/12/2011 07:29

Hi, yes, I have the red J Brands, they don't come up as big as the Earharts. I got my usual size. I think I will get the cobalts next.

Pickled, I have the Aigle and it is warm.

Bloss, glad you had a good time. DD1 was wildly excited. We had a look in the toy department and she choose a Mickey Mouse rocket and wanted to go straight home to play with it, she refused to go for lunch. He was a bit of a Bad Santa, winked and me, said doesn't your mother look good in her tight jeans and said I am looking forward to seeing you on Christmas Eve! I didn't sit on his knee but my list now consists of red AH Maeve bag, Mulberry shoulder bag, Parlux hairdryer and Timberland boots!

Anyone with little girls, I bought these boots for my DD, very cute.

Great gilet, Amber and Blue.

Ollie, the panto sounds fun. I can't wait to take my DDs. Photo of baby Carciofi with her Ollie toy in profile!

My friend has those 50/50 boots, very cool. I really like Stuart Weitzman shoes, they last well too, that's how I justify it.

Hi Sprogger. It's funny when your kids have a different accent to yours, I have that too!

DH had to work yesterday so it was like any other day really.

Fritzi and Marsha, you glam party girls!

I've been up since 5 with a coughing baby, back later when I'm awake. Sorry, missed loads, I think.

blossoming · 05/12/2011 07:55

So cute carciofi! Aren't they lovely when they're that age?

Glad you had a good time on Saturday. It was busy wasn't it?

I put 4 things on my Christmas list for DH yesterday in the end. The stripey top I linked to from NAP, a cashmere pashmina in Fig from mypashmina, the purple Ice Watch, and a Kindle. He can choose me one of those thengetmethebloodybike.

Another one here with the weight still not shifting. Honestly what does a girl have to do? Desperate times.

It's light enough to see out of the window now, and there is, drum roll please, snow on the hills. Hope that's it. I have to travel today and Wednesday. It can snow on the 16th. No sooner!

Right, that's me till tea time. I miss my phone. How sad!

notyummy · 05/12/2011 08:48

Morning all. On train to London at the moment. OMG it is cold in Lincolnshire! It is actually relatively balmy compared to this time last year, but we have been spoilt. Was out running at 6am this morning and was sliding everywhere on the ice! Wearing my purple Oliver Bonas dress that I usually get compliments in' with black opaques with lace panel, purple coat and black heels. No time for shopping unfortunately- all work.

Carciofi- sounds like Santa took quite a shine to you!! Hope the coughing stops soon.

Vin- so lovely to hear from you! I think of you everytime I put on the gorgeous jeans you sent me (which is often!)

FritziGreenEyes · 05/12/2011 08:51

marsha I can imagine that women wearing black at a party in London look glam but let me assure you that here in the sticks it looks just drab on most. Your outfit sounds amazing! I danced away the night and we didn't get home on Sat until just before 4am Shock. I somehow still managed to prepare breakfast and lunch on Sunday for DH's family who were staying with us.

bloss You will look drop-dead gorgeous in your new dress/leather biker/shoe boot outfit! Sorry about the your phone. Always such a hassle...

I love Wendy as much as most of us here do, but to be fair to WIT I think that Wendy's blog is a bit different as WIT only shows us snaps of what she is wearing every day to work whereas Wendy's pictures and clips are done really professionally. Having said that Wendy's outfits are definitely more inspiring and I am hankering after a pair of 5050s now too Grin.

Welcome sprogger!

vin Exciting news about your medicine course! How is your DS?

carciofi Have a cup of coffee Smile.
