Post a pic Wan, thinking about your houlihan shot, i can see them looking great. Am loving my capsule packing, tonight is blue skinnies, Whistles sequin jumper, roxy and big blue stella-esque scarf Dsis knitted for me.

Nice Reiss dress, would look lovely on you Marsha.

Mum and i are getting on well after the stresses earlier on in the year - it's lovely. I get where you're coming from re. Long distance parents Marsha. Although we're at smollenskys on Saturday, not quite the savoy , but Dcs will love as pre- Lion King treat .

Will instruct Dh to bring ss up with him at the weekend.

IceCreamCastles · 14/12/2011 20:44

Yes, post a photo of boots WAN (with you in them of course).

No, I haven't put on much weight round my face but there is a good reason I didn't put a full length shot up Grin.

Your outfits sound great red. Hope you and the DCs enjoy the lion king. I'd love to take DD one day.

House is an absolute tip. Have got a scaffolding tower up in the living room, buckets and tools everywhere, furniture in disarray, doors off etc. I have been assured it should be fairly clear by the weekend but am a little sceptical.

On the subject of the house - we will soon have a double height cleanly plastered wall in the living room where before there was a 70s slate and wooden cladding monstrosity. It will be quite a large expanse of just wall -any ideas what we can do with it to make it look a bit less stark?

pickledsiblings · 14/12/2011 21:39

Oh no icey, you got rid of the slate! I know someone who paints amazing portraits that would look great on your wall but she's painting one for me first . I'm sure your bump is lovely btw Smile.

roary · 14/12/2011 22:58

Icey love the hair!!

Thanks for meltdown sympathies. It may have also been a bit of pmt but I hate being ruled by hormones so will deny. We are going to a lovely place called Denmark and staying near here
www.rainbowcoast.com.au/areas/denmark/greenspool.htm

I love all those reiss dresses. Thus far unimpressed by shopping here!!

Sprogger - nowt wrong with a bit of brocade! That said, I think that dress is nice but could be quite unforgiving (i.e it is pale and shiney.) Don't actually think it does the paler skinned model any favours colouring or figure wise.

Has your skirt arrived yet Bloss? I do like the look of it but I will be strong! It's probably sold out in a 10 anyway, isn't it...?

NJC - sorry to hear about the cold, but the boots are great!

I am at work in black/pink fitted P8 dress with long sleeved black top underneath, black opaques and heels. Off out tonight and tomorrow night, so just played with the bored secretary stereotype by painting my nails at my desk, as have to be out of the house at 6 15pm tonight so will have no time then!

Weather is hideous here.....

Hello all

Having a lovely time here, it snowed when we went to see Santa! DS enjoyed watching mummy and daddy have a snowball fight, though it ended in tears when mummy fell over and got mud up her new J Brands!

Wearing plum hush sloppy Joe dress, navy American apparel leggings and my trusty silver hunters today as it is chilly. Am missing my gilet, but suspect it is not snow-proof.

Good call on the boots wan, I really like them and think they are good quality for the money!

Love the eye make up icey!

I like that dress sprogger, but agree with NY that it could be unforgiving!

Hello to everyone else!

MarshaBrady · 15/12/2011 11:11

Amber I forgot you were away for a second and was amazed at the reference to snow. How lovely. Outfits sound great as usual. I am wearing the Bruno skinny jeans and warm, warm fluffy Birger jumper again. I might have to double on the jumper in another colour.

Sprogger agree with NY's excellent verdict. Could be good, but not so good on the model on the right.

I agree with being tall and wearing very high heels. I love it. And have some short dresses but would love one a bit different. Like the Roksanda Ilincic in length and shape I suppose but less expensive.

Pickled aww that's nice. I haven't forgotten but have some sort of list going on now and is taking me ages. Will get faster as ds2 gets older.

Icey a big double wall sounds lovely. Not sure, go with what you love on there.

AmberNectarine · 15/12/2011 11:29

And yes agree about age 2, DS due to turn 2 in 2 weeks and he is so lovely ATM, apart from the once a day massive tantrum! Suspect I will be making a Thomas cake...

Phew! Just posted secret santa pressie!
DD3 A lot better today and gone to school, thank you all for your kind thoughts SmileDD1 & DD2 both home tomorrow for Christmas Hurrah!
What are your thoughts on these leather trousers in Oxblood, on a woman my age?

AmberNectarine · 15/12/2011 12:37

Annie I would love to, but what with me, DH and the baby our bed is at capacity. I often feel sorry for DS all alone in his cot, not that he cares!

blossoming · 15/12/2011 12:49

Hi all, waiting for conference to start. Wearing the jigsaw asymmetric tucked into grey pinstripe skirt. Looks good on screen.
Have fun out ny. They only had 10 and 8 left in the skirt then they sold out. Mine arrives tomorrow as dh is wfh.
portia, haven't seen link but I am positive you could carry them off!

IceCreamCastles · 15/12/2011 12:53

Annie- dd sometimes comes in with us. Sometimes it's lovely, other times (like last night) she wriggles and steals the covers so much that noone gets much sleep so I try not to encourage it.

Pickled- yes: slate, wood and gold spray painted woman have been banished! Think it will have to be art of some sort. Will be fun looking for something.

OllieinOrange · 15/12/2011 13:36

I have purchase news!
Brought this grey woollen dress from Inwear here - lovely and soft and I liked the neckline.

Also picked up a navy chunky poloneck from Massimo Dutti in their sale - chunky waffle weave knit, quite boxy so nice with skinny jeans and long boots.

Got this stack of glass jars for DH to give me for Christmas - totally frivolous but I've liked it for ages and after the non-appearance of b-day gifts Im taking xmas matters into my own hands! for sweets etc

Did anyone get the White Company Sequin Front jumper in the end? How do they come up size wise as only S left in stock?

School run beckons so back later to catch up.

Russianred · 15/12/2011 13:51

Lovely dress Ollie and can very much see you in it.

DS is my bed-partner at my Mum's after a 4am wake-up yesterday morning when he woke up sad and disorientated. It is lovely, but I kept on being woken by him lying on top of my head and needing moving. His cuddles are the best though.

Glad you're having a lovely time Amber.

Icey we were toying with a Julian Opie style family portrait on our big blank wall, but i can't decide if it might secretly be a bit naf - DH a big fan. My mum, who is a big collector of artwork (a lot of it is hers and that of her art school friends, sme of whm have done really well) has got a really great abstract piece which I love, but DH hates. The wall will probably remain blank..!

pickledsiblings · 15/12/2011 14:52

Great dress Ollie, can imagine you will wear that loads. Governors Christmas lunch at school today, the boys were delighted to see me Wore my olive Agnes which I still absolutely love and my new white jigsaw shirt, all topped off with my fatface poncho which incidentally has washed very well Grin.

red, glad you are having a lovely time in London.
Bloss, glad you are happy with what the camera says Smile.

blossoming · 15/12/2011 16:25

Great dress ollie!
Can I whisper that DH loves the Roxy. Has a really good effect on him iyswim...! Wore it last night to school concert. Felt far removed from school ma'am my family used to tease me with.
DD having a meltdown. Should have gone on the pub crawl!
Oh and a NAP parcel arrived for DH. Good man!

blue2711 · 15/12/2011 18:02

Just finished my last day of teaching! Feels funny that I won't be back in front of of a class again for at least another year. But I'm getting very excited about the arrival of the baby now. Three people have separately told me big I am today... Think it might have been the outfit: bright pink empire line jersey dress, black chunky cardigan, black suede ankle boots and LV roses scarf. Probably drew too much attention and I'm never very sure about how chic a bright colour and black are together? But I felt cosy and colourful anyway and enjoyed my last lesson. bloss my DH likes to tease me about being a dowdy school teacher too, at least I hope he's teasing. I think you sound both sophisticated and edgy and love picturing and envying all your outfits.

Love marsha's fluffy jumper and red jeans and also the INwear dress. And your leather trousers, portia. 30% off asos with Grazia this week!

My skinny pink j brands arrived and I love them. Wriggled into them and could get them over my thighs but not done up (unsurprisingly) so think they'll be the right size. I guess I can always eBay them in the spring if necessary. I'm really getting into this post-pregnancy wardrobe planning! Still searching for print jeans, oscillating between leopard or snake (like WIT today, although I would only go for a neutral). Any strong preferences?

wan now you have OTK boots too! Jealous, jealous. Very close to purchasing some pied a terre Picasso boots on eBay (dont seem to be able to link to ebay successfully) They look lovely but not exactly sure how OTK they are. Could I ask owners of OTKS a big favour? How long are yours?? The seller says these are 20 inches.

Had night out with the girls last night and loved it and have a girls only Strictly party on Saturday night which I'm really looking forward to. So enjoy getting dressed up but always bemoan the fact that I look too overdone if I try and add too much to an outfit. So last night I had planned to wear ruched black clingy t shirt dress with new TS leather jacket. But then I wanted to wear lacy tights too, and my beautiful long string of pearls and my leopard print ankle boots were calling to me too.... And of course the whole lot together looked just ridiculous! Perhaps it's because I don't have enough nights out to wear all my favourite things so I get over excited when I am going out and want to wear everything! Not sure I'm making much sense here so I'll stop but don't worry, I just wore plain opaques and shoe boots and looked Ok I think!

blossoming · 15/12/2011 18:17

Michael Kors has been making inroads onto this thread hasn't he recently? Love this scarf. Perfect colours for me.
That's lovely for you blue. Hope you can sit back and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy now!
