What a gorgeous picture Bloss; such a beautiful moment captured. Will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow and can only second WAN - your strength truly is an inspiration.

wideawakenurse · 08/12/2011 20:13

Nah, red I'm a right weakling! I cried because I ran out of remegel earlier. Grin

Rice pudding sounds perfect Bloss.

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 20:41

Bloss what a beautiful photo, I'm sure it is one of a million wonderful memories you have to cherish. Will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow.

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 20:47

Oh and anyone in need of a laugh. Just went up to DS and found he had taken his nappy off (he doesn't like having a dirty bottom, understandably, but is not receptive to the potty idea atm) and let's just say the contents had rather sullied his nice White Co bedding. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need a sigh emoticon.

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 20:48

The laugh wasn't supposed to be at my dodgy punctuation by the way...

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 21:04

I feel your pain Amber.

Have just returned from de-camping at our friend's for the afternoon - they made us all dinner at their insistence and thank goodness they did as we returned to utter, utter chaos. But good, things are happening chaos. Am very pleased I'm away for next week. Hope things aren't too chaotic at your place Icey. So glad your scans are all going well.

WAN - is definitely a good thing to be going on a VBAC course, whether it happens or not. My consultant was much more willing to consent to an ELCS knowing that I had gone through all of the counselling. It's such a tough decision to make, that one.

OTK update: I am a long term spoilt brat. My step-dad has today given me my Christmas money and it was a fair bit more than anticipated. Bizarrely, I now feel uncomfortable spending that much money on myself and feel like I should get something for DH and the kids instead (although he has been equally generous with the DC). Will see how I feel tomorrow.

DH's present - I am getting him a nice leather wash-bag (he has a canvas monstrosity with years old toothpaste stains) and putting some male grooming products in -exfoliant, moisturiser etc. He loves to use my stuff and will appreciate this I think.

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 21:11

Oh yes, DH's presents: a lot of DVDs (as requested by him), DAB radio, new expensive headphones (DS broke last set), usual pants, socks, PJs, magazine subscription etc. It's so hard because he never wants much but spoils me rotten.

red I am going to try on the 5050s this weekend, and hopefully they will look crap so I can stop obsessing.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 21:13

You know they're not going to look crap though, don't you?! From the research I've done, no-one has a bad word to say about them.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 21:18

Having said that - would anyone recommend a range of skincare for men. I was thinking Kiehls or Clarins.

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2011 21:27

I think someone should get the 5050s. I have always regretted getting a cheap washing machine. Red, Amber I don't want this to be you Wink.

Presents flow rather heavily in one direction here too. Dh is so difficult to buy for. I'm quite easy.

Vin fantastic you can make it.

Blue I really like the jbrands.

Oh I can never get the cheaper alternative, I just end up resenting the item. With my gilet I bought a cheaper alternative. We know how that ended, it went back. I will very likely get the 5050s...

IceCreamCastles · 08/12/2011 22:10

Send the el cheapo links my way annie. Although not OTK boots. They are not me in any way Grin

Fairly controlled chaos here so far red although v dusty. DD is fascinated by the process. Think she fancies herself as bob the builder.

I am getting DH an ikea poang chair for the conservatory (a surprise but he has always wanted one) and some books he has asked for.

He says he doesn't know what to get me. Budget is shrinking by the day! I will just be happy if walls are all in the right place by Christmas Grin

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2011 22:18

All links appreciated Anniemac. Keep them coming. Yes a Miele that's what I would like.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 22:27

Yes Annie, all links very much appreciated, you know that. Keep them coming.

DS lurves the array of builders/tradesmen we have here and remembers all their names/roles. We spent half an hour watching the scaffolders removng the scaffolding this morning as it fascinated him so. I only realised afterwards that he hadn't replaced his pyjama bottoms after visiting the toilet. Oops.

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 22:37

We do have a crappy Hotpoint though, came brand new with the house and DH wouldn't have a bar of my Miele chat.

Have just buckled down to trying to wrap some presents and am slightly horrified by how much I have bought for DS. Started in Aug so it has sort of crept up on me...

IceCreamCastles · 08/12/2011 22:41

Similar situation here yesterday red - DD proudly carried her (used) potty into show the builder. I wanted the bare floorboards to open up and swallow me!

AmberNectarine · 08/12/2011 22:42

icey I love Poangs, I have one in each DC's room as a nursing chair, v comfy.

Dh is out. I have just watched The Slap. I haven't seen it from the beginning so am a bit clueless. So nice to see an Australian drama, Melbourne I think.

IceCreamCastles · 08/12/2011 23:05

All previous slaps are on iplayer marsha. I watched the first one yesterday.

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2011 23:06

I still need a Christmas Day dress. Ach. I had to send back the Kors it was too big.

I'm looking for lace. I wish this Ilincic was 70% off in my size.

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2011 23:07

Thanks Icey, will check it out. What did you think?
