haha brilliant Jodie you're name is obviously drilled into the lovely BE ladies brains

I have had another go at half 'n half testing
tonight I tried LL barely buff and in the buff and couldn't see a difference

I think I am losing the ability to beable to tell tbh
my mind is a blur of shades
I no longer know whaaat I am
am I a BE medium ,or an Avon Ivory..or maybe a LL buff

Jeesus I need help.

I am gonna go and put my face at the mercy of a BE counter , a different one to the one on saturday ..mwahaha...I am testing those OL's
see if this one makes me a medium like the last one

...I need to stop don't I??? I need to make a farkin decision

Oh, that is so funny. Do you think Jodie will get invited onto Question Time next? Will she get an MBE? Will there be a statue of her swirl-tap-buffing on Parliament Green? Will future generations learn about her in the national curriculum?

I would love to know what BE HQ said in their memo to staff, I'm thinking they may want to poach Jodie for their marketing dept. Her OP is certainly glowing about the brand if a little alternative in the choice of language Grin

Jodie makes the New Year Honours List perhaps? For services to womankind? Or a slot on This Morning as their resident beauty expert?

She's gonna go a long way... And we knew her first :)

gregssausageroll · 18/10/2011 07:34

Right, the powers at BE if you are reading this I want a foundation compact please. Something nice and pretty to go in my bag. I know you have the mineral veil compact but it is out of stock on QVC. Thank you.

Still loving your mascara.

MinnieBloodBar · 18/10/2011 07:36

Morning all, I've been working my freelance socks off so I think it's time for another little treat or two.

Right, I'm going to get the Avon primer (I did look at the Tesco Barbara Daly one but that pot is seriously tiny), the LL Peepo and some LL concealer as I'm not a fan of the bisque either.

Sooooo, question is, if I'm fairly light in BE (which I don't understand, as I'd say my skintone is 'sallow pale olive', but light can make me look a bit odd), which LL concealer do I need? Blondie??

Also, inspired by the 'quick grooming tips' thread, I bought some BB cream but I didn't realise it was tinted and got medium. It looks stupid on me - anyone want it for the cost of postage?? I've used two small dots, that's all. Bah (or should that be 'baaaaaah'!)

FoofFrighteners · 18/10/2011 08:51

Anyone buy from QVC and have an intro code they care to share? :)

JodieHarsh · 18/10/2011 10:34

Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Grin Grin

I am so tempted to start a YouTube make-up channel and get Rich and FAMOUS

More from me later: I am getting the 'You look like you are having far too much fun to be actually working, madam' stare.

gg BE do a compact brush thingy you carry around in your bag - I have the Sheer Cover version and it is SHITE, the QVC reviews for the BE version are pretty disappointing too. LL are working on a compact apparently...

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 13:12

Is it a retractable brush? They look quite handy, just swirl and tap before you leave home then buff whilst out. I've been eyeing those up.

JodieHarsh · 18/10/2011 13:36

wot wot wot? That sounds amaze Grape

where is they pliz?

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 13:57

BE do this one www.feelunique.com/p/Bare-Escentuals-bareMinerals-Buff-Go-Brush but it's for mineral veil so I'm guessing it's quite a soft brush. You'd need a stiff one (ooo err Hmm ) for buffing foundation.

I'm sure if you search for retractable brushes then you'll find something. I have a lip version that's handy for when I'm out and it's too embarrassing to be seen digging the last remnants of lippy out of the lipstick Blush

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 17:26

I meant to mention, I tried the LL Blush Away today. It's a green powder designed to cover redness and it is really effective. I have some patches of red on my cheeks that I've been using Peepo on and the Blush Away is even better.

My love for LL just keeps on getting stronger Envy

PinotScreechio · 18/10/2011 17:29

peepo under eyes is amazing though

Jux · 18/10/2011 17:53

Thank you to MadamTwoSwords for the bisque. It's a different colour (darker) than the one I got in my starter kit, and works better on me.

Thanks
levantine · 18/10/2011 19:49

BE has been making me itch, so I've done a lilylolo order and added some eyeshadow and a blusher

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 19:57

My post has disappeared, I swear it was there earlier Confused

Anyway, I said that Peepo is indeed amazing under the eyes and makes me look like I've actually slept - rather than had 4 years of sleepless nights!

Just ordered a LL eyeshadow kit (with vanilla shimmer, moonlight and Miami taupe), 3 brushes and a finishing powder sample :)

I love LL, my bank balance doesn't!

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 20:01

Minnie I was light in BE but I think I could have got away with fairly light as I'm olive toned as well but very pale. I use barely buff LL foundation and barely beige concealer.

The concealer is lighter than the foundation but works well with it. I emailed LL to ask which concealer they recommended and they were spot in, however I've since seen they have a Facebook page which you can ask them on too.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 18/10/2011 20:04

Also, and apologies for the multiple posts, I find the pics on LL website make the concealer look like it wouldn't match at all and even though LL had recommended that shade, I very nearly went for a lighter shade as looking at the pic it seemed too dark. Glad I trusted them though as it's much lighter in real life.

hester · 18/10/2011 22:08

Ladies, can I just say that - for reasons I do not need to divulge - I have actually seen a photo of our leaderine Comrade Jodie, and she is an absolute chuffin stunner Grin

I had rather hoped that BE had transformed her from troglodyte to goddess, but I'm afraid she was rather goddess-like all along...

I may be (I say MAY) converted to the BE matte after the disaster of the original... I used it today and it's lovely however need far more of it than the Avon.

Ohh I want to see photo of Jodie too!!

Jux · 18/10/2011 22:57

Ah - ITCHING - just thought I'd give a shout about this as I think it's affected a few people.

BE made me itch (a bit) at first, but then I got the primer and it doesnt' itch at all any more. Presumably the primer - as well as providing a nice smooth surface on which to buff buff buff, provides a barrier between your skin and the make up, so it doesn't itch. Hooray!

OhThisIsJustGrape · 19/10/2011 06:39

I want to see a pic of Jodie too

It would be the ultimate endorsement of BE y'know Wink

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 08:21
