Peepo is by Lily Lilo. It's meant for under eyes but I'm going to try it on my old scars as it covers red/purpleness.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 08/10/2011 17:48

Oops x posts!

ggirl · 08/10/2011 18:13

i got summer bisque in my sample kit
worked on my under eye but then it's just wrinkly not dark

Sarayu · 08/10/2011 18:15

I am still wrecked. I can't handle a night out anymore

MinnieBar · 08/10/2011 19:11

I just put 'Lily Lolo' into Amazon US to see if it's cheaper there and what did it come up with? 'Personal vibrators'. Grin

I definitely think practice makes perfect - I'm getting better each day I think. I find the buffing quite therapeutic.

alfiemama · 08/10/2011 20:40

Grin @ Minniebar

Shoeprincess no it does have bismuith in. Oddly it seems to be ok though on my skin. The BE that I have though has nothing in (matte) and yet I am breaking out with it on Sad very strange.

ggirl · 08/10/2011 20:44

I hve had it on since about 10 this am and it's still looking fresh. This stuff is amazing!
And and and my eyeliner or mascara hasn't smudged all over the place ,which ALWAYS HAPPENS . I now know it's def the oil in foundations that is causing the problem and not the liner or mascara!

OhThisIsJustGrape · 08/10/2011 21:01

I'm breaking out quite badly, It is definitely one of 3 things causing it as I next to never get breakouts anymore.

  1. Primer - I have the BE one so haven't used it today (and couldn't tell any difference so not worth the £15 I spent on it Hmm

  2. BE - I hope to god it isn't. I use the matte so no bismuth so fingers crossed.

  3. Moisturiser - this is the most likely culprit, I never need moisturiser but a few days before my trial kit arrived I thought I'd better start using it as remember from my brief foray into mineral make up a couple of years back, any dry patches show up terribly. Need to find a different one now.

Can't go back to being spotty though, its taken me years to seemingly outgrow my teenage spots (well past my 30th birthday in fact Hmm) and I'm left with awful scarring that I do not wish to add to thanks!

alfiemama · 08/10/2011 21:05

Aha Grape yes mine could be moisturiser also as I've been using it since starting the minerals, didn't need it with the prestige though.

hester · 08/10/2011 22:24

Ahem. I had a wobble today, and said to my dp: "I'm just sure I fully believe that this mineral stuff is marvellous on me". She said, "Are you kidding? It's fucking fantastic! I just can't wait to buy some for myself".

So there you go! Grin I think that I have been spending a lot more time scrutinising my skin since I started trying it (normally I just slap on my tinted moisturiser in the early morning dark and don't look at myself again till I take it off again at the end of the day). So I'm really noticing lots of lines and imperfections that I had been happily pretending weren't there before.

Whatever. I really, REALLY love the staying power, so I'm keeping using it for sure.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 08/10/2011 22:32

Actually Alfie, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it's the moisturiser. I've got lots of tiny spots on my forehead - I hardly use any primer or foundation on that part of my face as I have a fringe and it seems a waste! Yet my skin always feels tight there so have been slapping on the moisturiser...

Ah well, time will tell. I have been reading reviews of the matte and it appears it can cause breakouts :( I do hope it's not the cause of mine though.

I don't think I've ever spent so much time thinking about my make up as I have these past 2 weeks! I'm obsessed with it all and fear I will go back to having nothing to research/play with should my BE days draw to a close :(

alfiemama · 08/10/2011 23:03

Really, that's not good news about people breaking out Grape lets just hope it's our moisturiser.
Have you changed your shampoo? Just with it being on your hairline.
Mine are on my chin, so could be hormonal but time of month gone now.
I'm also not finding the staying power very good Confused may try Lilylolo tomorrow and see if that is better.
I agree with obsessing, usually just slap it on and forget about it, now its check, ok check again, oh and check again just to make sure HmmBlush

Glad it's working for you hester

meltedchocolate · 08/10/2011 23:09

I am using BE. I have been for days. I am not using PRIMER and I have not broken out in spots. Unusual for me when wearing make up :)

MmeLindor. · 08/10/2011 23:53

Well, we drove 3 hours, wandered around in the sun then went into a museum where it was hot and sticky, wandered around some more, then we drove 3 hours home.

And it the BE is still looking pretty damn good.

Even when I got a bit hot and sweaty in the museum.

What is the verdict on blusher then? I am using my mac blusher, but think I may order the BE one. Or do I need the warmth doodah.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 09/10/2011 07:03

No, same shampoo so not that. Mine could be time of month, cycle has only just returned after 2yrs of pregnancy/breastfeeding and everything is all over the place so will keep an open mind.

Will not use primer and will go and get some of the Garnier anti-spot moisturiser I used to use without any breakouts and then I should know what the cause is.

Have ordered a Lily Lolo sample which should be here tomorrow so quite excited to try that too.

Oh, what I would give for nice skin :(

Glad it's working for you Hester and MmeLindor

hermioneweasley · 09/10/2011 08:34

I am a lit in BE. Anyone know what that might be in Avon? I have pale skin with olive tones. Thanks!

Dillydollydaydream · 09/10/2011 08:45

I think my skin I actually better for using BE, is that possible?!
Even without make up my skin I nice, smooth and blemish free. It's never been like this :)
Wasn't sure what the warmth was going to be like after reading people didn't like it but I find it gives a really nice colour, I only use the teenyist sprinkle though so thats going to last forever.
Think I may try the cheek, lip and eye kit now to see if that's just a good.

MadamTwoSwords · 09/10/2011 09:01

I had to give the BE a miss yesterday and crack out the heavy stuff as it just wasn't covering the ginormous breakout I've had Sad

Am hoping it's the primer I've been using (Avon) so going to stop that as other than the BE nothing has changed.

fannybanjo · 09/10/2011 10:23

Hermoine I'm a light in BE and an Ivory in Avon - I ordered medium beige in Avon too but was far too dark. I'm fair but tan easily.

ggirl · 09/10/2011 10:46

Is the Avon one as good as BE. DD interested but BE too £££ for her.

fannybanjo · 09/10/2011 10:53

ggirl I actually prefer the Avon one ten fold. Far nicer IMO than BE, packaging better too. It dispenses out into lid the exact amount you need. It sometimes comes on offer for half price too so only a fiver! Brilliant makeup even at full price. Couldn't justify spending the extra on BE and I'm very disappointed with BE, feels far more cakey than Avon.

fannybanjo · 09/10/2011 10:54

And I'm a make up snob, used to only use Lancome and Chanel foundations so that's how high I hold the Avon one as I haven't used my Lancome one since!

shoeprincess2 · 09/10/2011 11:01

I might pick up a pot of the Prestige then (when it ever comes back into stock in Boots!!) Still umming and aahing over which full size shade of Lily Lolo i need to go for. The china doll is a little too pale. Barely buff is a shade darker than my normal skin colour but it makes my face seem quite warm (and it was the shade i was wearing when I admired myself in the M & S mirror). i haven't tried blondie yet. Anyone use Candy Cane? Is it really pink?

hermioneweasley · 09/10/2011 11:28

Thanks Fannybanjo. It's on offer at £6 in this month's catalogue. I'll give ivory a go.

hermioneweasley · 09/10/2011 11:31

By the way, am wearing a bit of bisque on my lovely red chin spots, some Avon Magix primer and a sweep of mineral veil and I look bleedin' gawge. I can't believe this stuff - it's amazing! I have been experimenting with different primers and reckon the Avon one is as good as any of the pricier ones.

Shame I just restocked on Chanel foundation!
