Two questions please,

How can I delete a pin on pinterest or move it to a different board?

With BE, do I put blusher on before or after the mineral veil?

VivaLeBeaver · 08/10/2011 11:39

When I say blusher I mean BEs own blusher which might have been called something else but that's the job it does.

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 11:41

Before viva

VivaLeBeaver · 08/10/2011 11:46

Thanks.

So, I am now on day 4 of using Lily Lolo mineral powder foundations and I am loving it. I bought the trial kit in light (3 foundations, flawless silk finishing powder and baby kabuki brush) from their website and a sample size of the flawless matte finishing powder. As a sufferer of monstrously huge pores and very oily skin, this has been doing wonders for my skin. I prime my skin with the flawless matte powder, as it helps to set the foundation. I actually caught sight of myself in an M & S mirror yesterday (which are notoriusly famous for making me look haggard), and I actually thought I looked good. Big praise indeed. Anyway, thought I'd share, as after hating my skin for 20+ years (basically since being picked on school for having c***, spotty skin), I actually feel confident. Hope you ladies are all enjoying the wonders of mineral makeup. I may even try out their blushers and eyeshadows now Wink

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 12:14

Good news shoe - can't wait for mine to arrive!

shoeprincess2 · 08/10/2011 12:19

Absolutely fab stuff. I shall never use liquid foundation again. In fact, I'm off to sort out my make up cupboard and my mum is probably going to be the luck recipient of some surplus stuff (unless i can turn her onto the new makeup revolution).

VivaLeBeaver · 08/10/2011 12:28

Some of the colours of the BE eyeshadow looked fab, may have to go back to debenhams for another tutorial as no idea how to do loose powder eyeshadow.

Sarayu · 08/10/2011 13:01

I had my eyes done yesterday with BE shadows. They lasted all night. Colour in pot looked totally different on my eyes (soul sister). My trial pack from look arrived this morning. T'is looking good except I forgot to put on finishing powder. Def need a big brush and some BE blusher. I used my cream one, it went on ok but powder would be better. Tried bisque but can't see it did anything. Maybe not enough?

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:13

shoe I do not have open pores but every single cream/liquid foundation I have EVER used has settled in my pores and looked crap!

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:17

I have tried every make under the sun from Dior to Mac!

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:21

The ONLY One that is ok is Olay touch of foundation but I need more coverage - but that is the only consistency that has ever been ok on my skin. It makes me quite cross to think of the money I have parted with over the years, it's like trying to find the Holy bloody Grail!

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:22

3 posts and bit ranty, sorry! Blush!

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:22

saraya what were you using the bisque for?

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 13:54

Ooooooooooo my Lilylololollipoplolo stuff has arrived - top marks for speedy delivery!

alfiemama · 08/10/2011 14:27

Fanny I have tried the Avon one but it itched my skin Sad must be the Bismuith.
I really can't decide now which I prefer Lilylolopolio or BE, really don't think there is much in it, on reflection apart from the cost. The Lily one did make my skin feel a bit weird but I think this was because I was scrubbing with the brush Blush.
The Prestige mineral is still a favourite now aswell. It only cost me £2.50 for a large tub Grin.
Think I maybe obsessing now about minerals Blush

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 14:56

What is this Prestige mineral of which you speak alfie?...

alfiemama · 08/10/2011 15:06

I got it from Boots Valium, Tis £9.99 normally but when I got to the checkout it was £2.50, the lady checked though and it was right. The reviews are very good online. I didn't like it at first but as with most mineral makeups, you just adjust ones technique. It also really cleared my skin up post of post monthly spots.

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 15:16

Ill have a look for it - I like the Prestige eyeliners. They don't stock that range in our local Boots though so will have to wait until I go further afield.

PinotScreechio · 08/10/2011 15:48

I find the Light too yellowy too, so will save for next summer when I have a tan. the fairly light is good, as are all 3 of the LL ones I have (candycane, blondie and china doll).

As for blusher - I've found Benetint Posietint goes on best as it's a gel. It lasts all day. Today I have on Bobbi Brown Cheek Stick in Sheer Coral and looks OK. I think gel/sheer is the best combination with minerals. Not cream blusher.

Also did one coat of peepo before foundation today and muchos betteros - no bisque needed undereyes at all. Quite amazing really.

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 16:29

The Peepo is VERY yellow isn't it? Shock

I like the foundations, will try them out later and have a proper play around. I LIKE the flocked sponge!

OhThisIsJustGrape · 08/10/2011 17:08

Ordered the Peepo yesterday (thanks for the heads up :) ) and also a sample of Buff I think it was.

Went into Norwich today and as I was passing Debenhams I decided to nip in and see if the had an Orange Lady and they did :) I shared my woes with her about how the summer bisque is leaving orange patches on my face and she showed my the ordinary bisque which is actually darker but more pinky toned. That would be even worse so she gave me a free sample of the medium foundation and I'm going to try that as I think my face can take a slighted darker shade and then hopefully the summer bisque will match it better.

Still with me? Grin

oh, and she wasn't actually orange

shoeprincess2 · 08/10/2011 17:11

They had all sold out of the prestige minerals in my local Boots- i wanted to see if it contained bismuth. Alfiemama- i assume it doesn't have bismuth in it?

ggirl · 08/10/2011 17:39

what is this peepo youspeak of?

valiumredhead · 08/10/2011 17:45

A yellow powder concealor - not tried it properly yet but has great reviews It is VERY yellow and I am Bisque queen so will take a lot to convince me Grin
