verity - im sitting here feeling so nervous for them! I think i like Holly the best, but only cos she reminds me of me when baking! Jo seems to be doing well!
Bloss - I think its sorted, they are ringing me back tomorrow. Tables are assured, they just need to find my money which has gone from my account! I hate having hassle over things like that.
Amber - not sure what the others are doing but i wont be getting changed from afternoon to evening. So less of the glam and more of the girly dress look for me i think!

Forgot what else i was going to say!

AmberNectarine · 04/10/2011 20:47

MrsCB I gave that lace dress a little stroke today - tis gawjus!

Might wear my virgin Anglomania then, was toying with Agnes and a nice top, but fear it won't cut the mustard!

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/10/2011 20:55

Amber - it is really lovely on - well - I need to lose a few lbs but youngest DS didn't want me to take it off. Yes, sweetie - its a new school run dress Wink

OllieinOrange · 04/10/2011 21:09

Ahhh, how lovely for Jo from the GBBO

Mrs CB lovely dress. Are you going away with just DH? I dream of doing that - with my DH obviously!
WAN great that you got a dress. Sorry about your week at work. Sounds very tough.

OllieinOrange · 04/10/2011 21:10

Portia - can you get your post removed? We didnt want it made public Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/10/2011 21:11

Bloody hell Carciofi that's awful. I feel sad for your 22 year old self. And you too Marsha.

Amber truly excellent haul today. That jumper is pretty bargainous... Am looking for a long-sleeved lace top - I never got round to getting the Reiss Minna that everyone loved and regularly kick myself for it.

Lovely dress MrsCB. Perfect for the school run indeed.

Sounds like a v stressful week WAN, early nights for you I guess?

Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow Bloss - will you be feigning surprise when you get your presents?!

NJC I like the new incarnation. Hadn't realised our DS' were so close in age. DS is requesting a Thomas cake for his in November and I will not relent and buy one. I have a train tin and have watched a tutorial for how to make a Thomas icing face. Contoured and everything.

Spent two hours tonight talking to a friend who I've managed to lose touch with after a petty argument some years ago. Was really lovely. Also had a try-on for Saturday and nothing is working!

Evening. And so, things have been fairly frantic with my youngest DD's birthday (she was 2 at the weekend), and DH in Milan and the arrangements for the house (yes, we have an architect!!), and everything...We have been enjoying picnics in the garden most weekends, as our new house does have lovely views, and is quite idyllic. Although mildly concerned as DH has started making remarks about getting a dog, and chickens....Have also enjoyed the balmy weather, but, as ever, found the wild increase in temperature a slight challenge on wardrobe front as most of it was packed away some weeks ago! Quick review found my wonderful White Co linen frocks. What a relief.

A complete turnaround in the weather this week has found me trying various puffa's/Barbour quilted/arctics etc etc etc. However, the jury is still out. Do you find yourselves less able to take decisive action? It's a blinking coat for gawds sake....

And, 'Penblwydd Hapus' to Bloss ! Hope you have a lovely day!

Hi all. Lovely to see you mrscb and dolcee.
Just back from governors! But have iced my coffee cake.
My HoC consultant has a vacancy during half term. I think I may go for it, if only for the lovely day to myself it promises.

mrscb I do like the lace dress. I need a new cocktail dress for in a few weeks time....I'm thinking some lace, or black net...really like the Ralph Lauren versions but far too ££££....

DD was so excited about her presents that she was trembling...

Oh, wasn't the GBBO fab! Jo was my favourite....

blossoming · 04/10/2011 22:20

X post dolcee, you clever thing!

(So sorry - I wanted to look up 'hope you had a lovely birthday' but, after half a bottle of wine, found this and couldn't stop giggling!!!)

petitdonkey · 04/10/2011 22:53

Amber - love the new name but never before have I been so envious of a sentence.... "was meeting DH for lunch so popped to Selfridges" !!
