love the green dress on the LK Bennett site here

Springchicken · 29/11/2005 13:39

Must admit there is not alot that appears to be very me in monsoon but I will certainly have a good look at your ideas.
ABSOLUTELY love the midight blue one from Warehouse, I have a top in the same colour and material and Love it. The dress is exactly what I wanted style wise and i know i like the colour. Do you think buying from warehouse is a bit risky in case someone else has the same thing?
Really like the green one too but think I would need to try that style.

Keep em coming, doing great so far.

Springchicken · 29/11/2005 13:40

Gorgeous - Love that one too. Really fancy green for some reason too.

Springchicken · 29/11/2005 13:41

Wonder what the back of the Blue Warehouse one would be like ?

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 13:42

I like risk, it wouldn't stop me tbh!! I think the warehouse ones are nicer than Monsoon too, love all the green and blue
nothing in debenhams

am struggling to find anymore at the moment

Try Whistles as well (another uselss site)

Springchicken · 29/11/2005 13:45

What about shoes and accessories ? And a bag, going to have DD in tow so am going to need somewhere for a nappy and wipes.

Springchicken · 29/11/2005 13:45

Think I might get it now. I absolutely love it and must be trying to tell me something if i have a virtually identical top.

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 13:50

Need help too!
I want to wear skinny jeans and posh new boots to friend's birthday meal and need a top. Am thinking of getting a belted shirt dress that I can wear on top. The idea being to cover tummy (the jeans are annoyingly low cut) but also to look dressy on the top half as that is all you will see at the table. I don't mind if it is short sleeved as I could wear a long sleeve black t underneath but preferably it would be long sleeved.
I've seen a few at Oasis and one on the monsoon website. Any other ideas??
TIA

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 13:52

cupcakes I can't help now, have to do a bit more proper paid work...maybe later? sorry... I'm on my own in this shop

SpringChicken, glad you found the right one
will have a very quick look for shoes for you
am useless at finding necklaces though I warn you!

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 13:53

frenchie - I will call back later!

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 13:54

actually no need for necklace with this one I think, but get some earings instead from accessorize

nailpolish · 29/11/2005 13:54

cupcakes i have just recently bought a top just like the one you describe in asda

it was black, with a cool belt, long sleeves

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 13:59

ok Springy, lots of silver sandals here

have to shut shop again

byeeeeeeeeeeee

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 15:38

cupcakes, just before I pop out, found this dress for you

or something like this?

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 15:42

thanks nailpolish but I don't have an asda.
Love the fcuk one but unfortunately it's too expensive for me
Can only spend up to £60... (less would be better!)

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 15:44

like this one too but still way too pricey (all my money went on my boots )

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 15:45

oops forgot to check the price on fcuk....

you don't like the tunic from warehouse?

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 15:46

gosh: , and all in the space of 2 posts.

Must calm down.

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 15:48

Bit too delicate and floaty for me. It has to go with these boots.
Ta.

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 15:48

have a look at the silk tunic on here then

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 15:49

wow!!!!!! fab boots
v v expensive though you loony

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 29/11/2005 15:56

I am a loon. When I think of what else I could have bought with the money I go quite faint. And I am now broke. Impulse shopping, pah!
Can't find the silk tunic but have looked at their dresses
I like the printed dress (but I think it's maternity) and the multi print jersey dress (but it's for children!).

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 18:01

lol cupcakes, the hand on tummy gives it away a bit doesn't it
you cannot miss the cream silk tunic, it's the biggest picture on the page I gave you
you definitely are most strange in a nice way

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 29/11/2005 18:02

btw I think your best bet is Monsoon, they have loads of dresses or nice long tops

motherpeculiar · 29/11/2005 23:01

phew Ikea somewhat did me in!

sorry, staff of shop, to have been out for so long, and bet you've all knocked off now. I'll pop back in again tomorrow night perhaps.

BTW frenchkissgirl I did like two of those monsoon tops a lot - will pop in there tomorrow on my lunch break and let you know how I get on. any other ideas between now and lunchtime tomorrow deliriously welcome...

in general do you savvy lot know what shops are good for larger bottomed (not massive, just 14 or so) muffin tummed women who want to look a bit funky???? I just hate trying loads of stuff on only to have it all strain accross me..

how far in advance do you have to book a topshop personal shopper? anyone done this? (should I be whispering this? does it count as direct competition?)

nightie night
