evening wedding reception on 16 December with dh's work colleagues.. and possibly work night out at one of those black tie marquee jobs if I love new outfit othersie have lbd for that one

hc - I think patterned tights are nice. I've bought a couple of chocolate brown pairs (small fishnet and shell patterned) from M&S to wear with my new brown boots and a short(ish) skirt!!

JTS we are twins... I have new brown boots, and I am wearing them with skirts just above the knee. thought the tights might look quite funky but then remembered I am a 36 yo mother of two.... had a wobble
will go and buy some today then

MP, I've booked a topshop personal shopper with a friend, we're going next week (will report back ).... we did book it about 6 weeks in advance though ... also, they call you up and ask you questions like "what is your favourite colour" and "who is your style icon"?!?!?!?!?! I got total stage fright and couldn't think of ANYONE, let alone a style icon. Could only think of people I really DIDN'T want to look like ever... Am now wondering if I'm about 10 years too old for this topshop personal shopping lark....
