There are 30 days in June. Who wants to do the 30 day shred every day this month?

TattyDevine · 31/05/2011 21:06

Right, ladies its that time of year one has to get shredded. There are holidays, there are barbecues, there are weddings to attend. One has to look good, and one has to undo any overindulgence of attending said events.

So I will be doing the 30 day shred every day in June, unless extraneous circumstances prevent me, these being:

Loss of life or loss of limb;
Illness involving either puking or high temperature;
Velcro-baby (i.e sick child keeping one up all night or similar shenanigans)

Any other excuses will not be tolerated.

Is anyone else in? You must check in daily to say you've done it and you may post your weight loss or inch loss weekly if you feel inclined. Plus wax lyrical about how shredded you feel and how hard your bottom is and how you can't really lift your arm very well or it shakes like a leaf but it doesn't matter because you can fit into your least mumsy swimsuit.

See you tomorrow!

day 2 done! well done everyone who has already shredded today, at least its over with.

bit harder today but i didn't really warm up properly (was seriously hampered by the dds joining in Grin). Glad thats over, hope it gets easier as the days go by.

So, only 28 days to go...

LeChatRouge · 02/06/2011 18:24

Yea - managed to do it just now!

MUCH harder the second time, but am DETERMINED to keep going.

My arms seem to be the weakest - really aching.

Is anybody else combining with considering their food intake a bit more, I am not dieting as such, but am aware of what I am eating?

DoingTheBestICan · 02/06/2011 18:26

I have been so sore all day in my thighs but i determined to see this through, tonight for dinner we are having pork & veg kebabs & a rice salad.

I havent got any weights so i am using tins of soup,i think i'll get some at the weekend.

Well done everyone!!

DoingTheBestICan · 02/06/2011 18:27

X posted there, yes i am definitly not eating any junk & have upped my veg & fruit intake,i am even cutting back on my coffee Shock

TattyDevine · 02/06/2011 18:37

Definitely watching what I eat at the moment, having to after a 25 day bender long visit of my mother's where we got pissed every night indulged in good food and fine wine...

On the subject of alchohol, nothing makes you want to exercise less, either that day or the next morning, than imbibing more than about one standard drink (2 tops)...

Boring but true!

Hi well managed keep up with you all and done day 1 and 2. Yep today harder, and had toddler helpfully tickling me and trying join in. I prefer try do it 1st thing before showered and ready for day and like the glow you feel. 30 days going to be hard!!

actiongirl1978 · 02/06/2011 19:59

Woohoo I managed to do it today!!

I also decided to weigh myself for the first time in a month and found that the reason all my clothes are tight is the 4lb weight gain.

So, in moment of action, I put my trainers on, signed up to a month on WW online and put the remainder of the childrens sausages in the bin instead of inside me!

Wonder if I can keep it up?

MissBeehiving · 02/06/2011 20:13

Day 2 complete. Well done to everyone who has done it and a metaphorical kick up the jacksy to everyone that hasn't.

SomersetBelle · 02/06/2011 20:27

I'm done!

Thanks for the clarification about the chest flies ladies - although I do prefer chest pies!

blabalalalablabla · 02/06/2011 20:57

actiongirl - I've also signed up to ww - I'd like to shift a stone in the next two months - or at least feel a loose size 12.

I'm also going no-alcohol during the week and cutting out bread as that seems to make a real difference to me.

30days · 02/06/2011 21:01

It might be hard now but you're going to find if you're diligent with this, in no time your body's going to change.

toastandmarmiterocks · 02/06/2011 21:05

those of you looking for the modified version... there is none.

itsababslife · 02/06/2011 21:18

bumped up to level 2 already....my shoulders are rubbish. My physique seems to be thunderous thighs and stringy arms....I wonder what Gok would call that!

stopthelights · 02/06/2011 21:23

Signing in. Day two complete. Not long til I'll have got it and I can flaunt it ladeez, no shame Grin

NanAstley · 02/06/2011 21:29

Well, after feeling smug that I did the shred first thing, I then went and spoiled my virtuous air by having a pub lunch and then a chocolate cakeat 4pm. On the plus side, I spent the day at the Hay festival with dd1 and there was a lot of walking involved. And the pub lunch did come with a massive serving of vegetables (I avoided the potatoes ).

I have a bbq to go to tomorrow, fingers crossed I won't overindulge again! Hmm

just a little bit scared now Grin

WhatsWrongWithYou · 02/06/2011 21:37

That zip-front sorts bra look interesting, WTWTA. Looks a bit similar to the one I have, from Enell, which is great for big boobs.

I'm a 30G, and this is the first time I've been able to exercise without wearing two bras- they really don't move at all.

Not done again today < failure >. I'm finding, with half term, I spend so much time taxi-ing (we're in the sticks and my DCs are older), if I don't do it first thing I miss the slot.

Although a good trick I've found is to leave my kit at the end of the bed, so i put it straight on when I get up, then I have to shred before getting my shower.

I did get very hot and sweaty mowing the lawn and sweeping up today, which took about an hour, although I know it's not really the same (a message of lethargy, people!)

Back on track tomorrow. Well done to everyone who's done it today.

NanAstley · 02/06/2011 21:42

That isn't the real Jillian is it? Whoever that is, could you come back every day and shout at us? Just to keep us on the straight and narrow Grin

SilentSinger · 02/06/2011 21:47

Day two done. DP managed to not laugh at me too much

DoingTheBestICan · 02/06/2011 21:52

Just a quick question,do you go up a level after day 10?

MissBeehiving · 02/06/2011 21:57

I go up when I can do that Level without expiring too much difficulty - usually about a week.

30days · 02/06/2011 22:10

You are capable of working out. You're capable of working out hard. You are going to train your body

Night Night Wink

RussAbbotDancer · 02/06/2011 22:14

Done it. Contrary to my free-spirit kind of idea of myself, I actually respond very well to non-negotiable, structured exercise. How dull.

Googled calorie count and most people saying around 200 for level 1.

Bellebelle · 02/06/2011 23:20

Signing in to say shredding done. Side lunges still horrid.

Not really watching what I eat as diet okay and not really looking to loose weight (BMI 22) just tighten up stomach for bikini wearing. In fact preparing to gain weight from those ab muscles I'm going to get.

Look at those abs. I would kill for those abs. Really I would.

georgie22 · 02/06/2011 23:40

Late posting but shredded earlier this evening. Found it harder than yesterday too and my knees appear to be protesting a little.

Just a few more to go (what she actually means is 10 more to go)!

See you all tomorrow.
