There are 30 days in June. Who wants to do the 30 day shred every day this month?

TattyDevine · 31/05/2011 21:06

Right, ladies its that time of year one has to get shredded. There are holidays, there are barbecues, there are weddings to attend. One has to look good, and one has to undo any overindulgence of attending said events.

So I will be doing the 30 day shred every day in June, unless extraneous circumstances prevent me, these being:

Loss of life or loss of limb;
Illness involving either puking or high temperature;
Velcro-baby (i.e sick child keeping one up all night or similar shenanigans)

Any other excuses will not be tolerated.

Is anyone else in? You must check in daily to say you've done it and you may post your weight loss or inch loss weekly if you feel inclined. Plus wax lyrical about how shredded you feel and how hard your bottom is and how you can't really lift your arm very well or it shakes like a leaf but it doesn't matter because you can fit into your least mumsy swimsuit.

See you tomorrow!

That's me done and done in. Well done all Grin

LadyWithNoManors · 14/06/2011 22:03

Day 4 of level one done Smile

toastandmarmiterocks · 14/06/2011 22:16

Hey Loumou knackered knees here too. Missed 3 days now and feeling gutted because it was really making a difference. But I've been sensible and rested the knees. Hopefully I'll be back shredding tomorrow.

Hope your knees hold up. Well done to everyone, good work. Tattydevine brilliant results, well done.

stopthelights · 14/06/2011 22:40

Day 11 for me - knees are only just bearing up. I'm feeling old Sad

georgie22 · 14/06/2011 22:45

Done 3 days of level 2 which has been hard. Felt rough today with knee and lower back pain (pre-menstrual I think) but could not miss a day so did level 1 again. Amazingly found it quite easy which is encouraging and shows the difference that 14 days of exercise has made to my overall fitness levels. Will aim to return to level 2 tomorrow but I figured it was better to do something rather than nothing.

Antidote · 15/06/2011 08:17

Managed last night, but failed to check in as ds was waaaaay to distracted to feed & mn!

I am definitely convinced that level 1 is harder than 2 in some ways, especially with 2 kg weighs.

roundthehouses · 15/06/2011 10:43

day 15 done! that´s 8 days level 1, 7 days level 2 which leaves me 8 days level 3 before holiday. actually a bit bummed I´m only going to make it to 23 days but am NOT taking it on holiday with me!

anyway, still 8 days to go, will probably be happy to remove dvd from the machine by then! (and chuck in a deep dark well somewhere Grin)

Really pushed it as last day on level 2 and managed all squat thrusts at last a la natalie but v raises still defeated me, couldn´t do the last 10. wah.

what awaits me on level 3??!

LouMou · 15/06/2011 15:13

Knees slowly getting back to normal, doing those step exercises. But honest to god it felt like my knee joints were pulling apart when I lifted my leg. Both knees equally as painful so I must have been doing the exercises correctly jillian would be proud Grin
Going to start back this evening, leaving out squats and concentrate on abs and arm work. Fingers crossed.

itsababslife · 15/06/2011 16:42

Hey ladies...

Just finished day 9...I am getting so behind with this, had no time yesterday as I needed to get DD into bed for a very early night by which time DH was home and commandeering the telly. Bloody hell it was hard today...I am dripping with sweat! Zumba in a bit too (oh dear god!!).

Off to stay with family for a few days tomorrow..not sure how it'll fit in with 3 babies and ailing parents, but it'll come with me anyway

blabalalalablabla · 15/06/2011 17:13

ooh - everyone is doing real well.
I haven't had a chance to do it for three days and was supposed to be going up to level 2 - thought I'd do one last day on level 1 for old times sake :o

orangehead · 15/06/2011 18:28

Not shredded today but did 4 and 1/2 mile run then some yoga and practising the plank when I got back. Then I was knackered.
Well done everyone

LeChatRouge · 15/06/2011 18:31

Day 4 of level 2 done. Also did yesterday but didn't check in last night.

I still can't do all of this level - am really trying very hard, but just not enough upper body strength.

Am off to nice pub for dinner with some friends now, see y'all tomorrow.

chutneypig · 15/06/2011 19:17

Done here too. I realised today after 5 days at this level that I wasn't doing one of the exercises right - can't see properly on those plank moves Grin.

sailorsgal · 15/06/2011 19:43

Day 2 of level 2 done. Really had to give it some welly to get into it after a day of retail therapy. Smile

Must drink more water!

bogle · 15/06/2011 19:57

day 3 of level 2 done, still sooooo hard and I'm def more of an Anita. I have totally given up on the last abs set and substitute them with the last abs from level 1 instead....

DoingTheBestICan · 15/06/2011 20:14

Shredded & i've had a rubbish day,mad busy in work,i feel shattered but made myself do it.

Zwitterion · 15/06/2011 20:31

I do the same bogle. I can't do those plank abs for love nor money.

I'm off with work for a couple of days (first night away without DD and DH ever and I am so looking forward to it Grin ) so will be hitting the bar having a nice rest.

MissBeehiving · 15/06/2011 21:05

Day 13 (Level 2) in the Beehiving House. I just need to say HOW MUCH I HATE LEVEL 2. And breathe.

I'm mostly Natalie with some Anita creeping in at the end Grin

Do we see Natalie's abs on level 3, I can't remember?

Well done all. Have a wonderful time Zwitterion Smile

LadyWithNoManors · 15/06/2011 21:51

Day 5 of Level 1 done Smile.
How many days did everyone do of Level 1 before going on to Level 2?
It's getting easier sort of but the cardio still kills me.

georgie22 · 15/06/2011 22:34

Yippee - back to level 2 today and it wasn't as bad as on the previous days. Glad I didn't miss yesterday now. Still weigh the same though (which is way too much and at least 7lb more than before I got pregnant).

chutneypig · 16/06/2011 06:38

I did 7 days at level 1 LadyWithNoManors. I had been planning on mastering all the moves at Natalie level but realised that was futile Grin. I'd wait till you're feeling more comfortable with the cardio though, I noticed a big improvement day 6/7 in strength and cardio at all the levels.

Blackduck · 16/06/2011 06:45

I did first two circuits of L1 and then first circuit of L2 - walking plank peice of piss in comparison to press ups, but rowing is a bit of a bitch..... this is my way of easing myself into L2 hoping that my body won't actually notice :)

chutneypig · 16/06/2011 08:38

Done here

roundthehouses · 16/06/2011 09:35

LWNM I did 8 L1, 7 L2, now on L3 but only because I am going away so had to make it a 23 day shred Grin

Just did day 16, 1st day L3... aaaaarghpffffffft. having said that I already like the moves much better than L2 but can now see why she did so much plank on that level. I did phone it in just a weee bit towards the end but still feel totally wrecked.

Well done everyone, keep it up! Smile

blabalalalablabla · 16/06/2011 14:13

I've just done my first day on level 2 - I'd been putting it off for ages but it wasn't as bad as I'd remember from last time.

I think I'll have to drop the weights on those V-raises though.

I've lost 4lbs since starting this and weightwatchers on the 1st June so feeling very pleased - I was worried I wouldn't actually lose any weight from doing the shred so feel boosted to continue :o
