Is it just me that buys things for holidays and has them hanging up for weeks in advance? Ive got three dresses and I could do to wear one of them this weekend but, I cant bring myself to. Why do we buy clothes for holidays?

I think that was someone stirring, I noticed them in another thread earlier. Anyway, i still will go to Peacocks tomorrow looking for holiday clothes, common or not!

I have 'holiday' stuff like kaftans and v short denim mini skirt that I wouldn't wear in this country but don't tend to buy stuff and then not wear it really.

I love planning my holiday wardrobe though - but then I am sad. Wink

I also like sundresses and gold sandals - looks down at what I'm currently wearing Wink

I think a certain fishy somebody was bored tbh! :)

I have shorts, bikinis and camisoles that I would only wear on holiday (don't show flesh at home!).

I usually buy a new bikini for a holiday and a sarong to go with it (and I know most people on here don't like sarongs - so sue me). I also usually buy some new knickers because I only tend to wear black ones in the UK and sometimes need lighter coloured ones abroad, as I am occasionally known to wear colour when on holiday!

What's suddenly wrong with gold sandals?

I used to work with someone who did have a separate set of clothes for sun holidays. When she came home she would wash & iron them & pack them away in her suitcase ready for the next holiday!

Yowsers at you lot going and being nekkid on away you wouldn't at home.

ENormaSnob · 22/04/2011 13:43

Totally with you on this kittya.

I do the new knickers thing too!

mewkins · 22/04/2011 20:54

I am totally with you. We have a long-standing tradition of doing this and heaven forbid you wear the stuff before you go. It's nice to have pristine new clothes to wear.

I think it's more common than these lot dare admit!!
