Waves to everyone, thanks for being nice and welcoming.

I LUUURVE that chiffon skirt, love it. this is similar?

I dread the baby clothes lend out...some stuff is so lovely, I am precious about others spoiling it! Silly.

CHOOGIRL · 30/03/2011 21:22

Hi all. Just a quick message from me tonight as am supposed to be having early night. Just wanted to thank you all for your lovely messages. DS is getting better but still being sick every now and again. I am so over being covered in vomit! He was up at 4 am this morning. Yawn. Some lovely links. I cannot even begin to respond to everything. This thread moves so fast but..

not yummy I love your new outfit. Looks lovely on you. Prefer it without belt.

Madame l love that Barbour.

fleecy glad scan went well. Always such a relief. A friend of mine has just had her second c section and said it was much easier second time round as she was more prepared as it was not a bells ringing, lights flashingemergency.

carciofi how rude of your friend. I am afraid I would just stew rather than bring it up with her....sigh

Took delivery of this mango dress today.

Pleasantly surprised. May keep. Just too tired to really know whether I like it or LIKE IT IYKWIM!!

Night night! X

notyummy · 30/03/2011 21:29

Ongakgak- that link goes back to the Next cardigan?

Fleecy- meant to say that I am pleased the scan went well. MrsRCB had good cs experiences I think!

ongakgak · 30/03/2011 21:31

ooooooh no try again

Although not chiffon, but similar shape and move.

notyummy · 30/03/2011 21:33

Choo- loving your work! That skirt and the Margarita top are particularly lovely.

MarshaBrady · 30/03/2011 21:34

Fleecy so glad scan went well. Little steps to relaxing after the birth I think.

Welcome ongakgak

Great shopping Choo

ongakgak Welcome!

Just a tiny question re the skirt everyone seems to be coveting: Wouldn't the pleats plus chiffon make everyone's hips look absolutely massive?

choo Lucky you, a shopping trip to Saks! Love your Reiss haul too.

carciofi It's just my imaginary summer wardrobe so no links yet. Hope you feel better after some sleep. I was so exhausted this afternoon that I fell asleep on DD's bed while she listened to a CD and pottered around.

everyspring Love the new name! Hope DS is better today.

ants Sending you healing vibes for speedy recovery of DS!

marsha I am so hopeless at celebrity spotting, I probably wouldn't recognize GP and CD if they sat at my table Smile.

Hiya ongakgak

Fritzi re wedding outfit I am still keenest on the dress on my profile pic however... (said in Simon Cowell X factor judge voice) want to keep warm in the church - especially as the forecast is 8 degrees and heavy rain! I have something else I could wear with sleeves, but I may be forced to do a NAP panic buy tomorrow morning from work just in case there's that perfect outfit waiting for me which I don't know about yet. Daft really, should wear what I have I know!

Wondering how oww is going on her exploding woman course

CHOO what lovely finds!

apuski sounds like it went well with the recruitment lady, good stuff!

Anyone heard from vin re her medic interview and nose? Hope all is well.

Loving the links ladies - must find some good ones myself. That AH bag is lovely but need to see in the flesh first, there's an AH shop on my way home from work, how very fortuitious...

I was at the meet up and don't mind revealing where it was but only if others don't mind. So I don't mind if someone else does...!!

notyummy · 30/03/2011 21:59

Fritzi- alas I fear you are right re the skirt. In my
mind I am wafting in my pleated chiffon maxi looking lithe and cool. I think the reality may be more prosaic and wide of hip.....

I want to try one on though- just to double check Grin.

Weather forecast for Geneva when we go is 21 and sunny.

And we are going to hot springs overlooking the mountain. I have instructions to pack a bikini.

ApuskiDusky · 30/03/2011 23:08

Oops, a bit late, ended up reading Georgette Heyer books on my kindle tonight! (my secret vice). Will catch up tomorrow, promise!

pickledsiblings · 30/03/2011 23:36

Not as late as me Apuski - I have just finished making DS's cake, yum. Good luck with your job search.

Fleecy, so glad to hear the scan went well, roll on October!

Nice skirt NY, very wafty Smile.

notyummy · 31/03/2011 08:25

Thank you for the compliment Annie Smile

Pickled - I am wafting big style around the office this morning in new skirt and wedges - but feeling inappropriately dressed because of the rain. Bloody weather forecast Angry. Hopefully it will clear up shortly and the 17 degrees with sunshine will materialise from somewhere! I went without belt in the end - felt slightly more casual/dressed down, which is what I am aiming for.

Ants - Pleased to hear that DS is getting better, but it sounds tiring stuff. I hope you manage to get some rest and avoid picking anything up yourself.

roary · 31/03/2011 09:59

APuski very exciting about jobs!

Marsha can you tell your Gwynnie story again? I likes a bit of celeb gossip, I do. ALso I have a friend who went to the same high school as Gwynnie so I TOTALLY know her. Grin
NY I liked it best without the belt, but I have to say the stripey dress is lovely lovely lovely. So glad you kept it.

Emo that red is spectacular on you.

Fritzi I reckon the chiffon would be fine on the hips as it is a properly old fashioned shape, meant to sit at your true waist - so should achieve a lovely small waist hourglassy effect. In theory. I do love it, if it comes back in it's MINE all MINE.

blossoming · 31/03/2011 10:17

Morning everyone.
Having a bit of a stressful time of it today, so I shall just post that the Mango shirtdress wouldn't close at the waist, and the armholes are, indeed massive.

Doesn't half make you feel good Wink.

OP posts:
carciofi · 31/03/2011 10:44

Bloss, hope your day gets better.

Choo, lovely clothes.

Re the in-laws, it is good to know where we stand, at least!

NY, enjoy the lunch.

The supermarket delivery guy was just here, I felt sorry for him. He said a woman got out of her expensive car and slapped him in the face for blocking her for a few minutes while he made a delivery. She said that she was on the school run but had no kids in the car and anyway it is a bit late for school runs! Some people are crazy.

I took two paracetamol (DH was in a mad panic about it but the GP said it was fine) and slept well so feel much better.

Fritzi, I think I should stick to a colour palette too, it might stop me buying unnecessary items!

Roary, according to Grazia, you can get Whistles to hold the skirt for you when it is restocked if you email [email protected] with your name, phone number, the colour you want and your size.

Ants, you must be so tired. Hope your DS is better today. I really like the dress.

blossoming · 31/03/2011 11:03

Dh back from the doctors.
He told me last night he found a lump.
He has a hernia. I am relieved. He feels old.

OP posts:
carciofi · 31/03/2011 12:03

Glad it is nothing too serious, Bloss.

Just ordered a moses basket, awww.

notyummy · 31/03/2011 12:05

Oooh - a basket - how exciting!!

Bloss - glad it is nothing serious. Hernias fairly easily fixed (I think?)

OllieWollieWoo · 31/03/2011 12:26

Bloss scary few hours for you and DH but glad of the outcome. Will he have medication or surgery (my Dad has had/has both)

Have decided I def want a Mulberry Tillie Tote in tan here so need to save a mere 1,200 euros (unless anyone has seen any good knock offs Smile)

Last nights talk was brilliant! The speaker spoke on being One Tough Mother (!) and then she spoke again at our Expat Mums group this morning about how to recognise the signs when you are loosing it with your kids and to step in and stop abusive behaviour (verbal/physical) from escalating. She was hysterical - I haven't laughed so much for a while. Very honest about her failings as a Mum when her kids were younger and full of tips and advice. The desserts were great too - friend and I must have sampled everything between us!

In don't mind going public with our meet up venue! Petitdonkey - I was v nervous about meeting everyone but honestly, they are all lovely and (more importantly) normal! After 2 mins it was really like meeting old friends you hadn't seen for a while! DH was highly amused by my actions (eg flying over) but says he likes the results of me being on the thread (shred, navy janice etc) so shrugs and says happy wife, happy life!

DH very poorly - been it bed since 8pm last night and not eaten a thing since - think its a virus with nausea, stiffness, headcahes, sweats etc. He becomes quite childlike when he is ill - sort of sweet! No doubt I will be making boiled egg with soldiers when he feels a bit better!!!
