fritzi garden furniture on my list too - but need to see in RL first!!!

notyummy · 20/04/2011 08:58

Hi all- hope you are all enjoying this weather and living the sound of the cashmere. Currently in shorts and Breton, at mum and dads after an amazing few days in Brighton. About to leave DD with them and slope off to a romantic hotel with DH!

VerityBrulee · 20/04/2011 09:13

Carciofi happy birthday to dd, hope you have a lovely day, I'm sure dh will make up for his absence at the weekend.

Fritzi may have a sandals breakthrough, am about to pile dc in car and drive to H&M in attempt to get bargain Hasbeens Smile

NY sounds like you're having a great week, enjoy it, you certainly deserve it!

Hasbeens online now in the UK for those who are interested. Will report back, wish me luck Wink

carciofi · 20/04/2011 09:36

Thanks Verity, he looked quite down going off to work so I didn't give him a hard time. Good luck with the Hasbeens!

Emo, if like us you have a small garden, we bought this [[http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~Country_110~Robert+Dyas+FSC+Country+110cm+Hardwood+Garden+Furniture+Set garden furniture][ from Robert Dyas, very nice for the price and looks good with the red parasol and cushions.

Birthday girl wants a comic, we are off to the shop.

carciofi · 20/04/2011 09:37

sorry, this

tulpe · 20/04/2011 10:45

Hi ladies. Just popping in quickly to say have you checked out H&M's Hasbeens collaboration? I know many of you are Hasbeen fans and these are available online at £30-£40 a pair!

Haven't read through entire thread so you may already have covered this!

Emo76 · 20/04/2011 10:47

newsflash Just ordered the hasbeens for H&M red strappy sandals! had a quick flick through, liked those and only a size 7 left, my size, it was meant to be.....!

Emo76 · 20/04/2011 10:48

carciofi thanks for the link re garden furniture - that looks good for the money - was it easy to put together?

tulpe · 20/04/2011 11:10

Emo - I got the red ones too. Hope they are as lovely as they look.

OllieWollieWoo · 20/04/2011 12:35

Back from a potter round the shops. Picked up some cute baggy shorts for DSs - in white (hmmm -what was I thinking!), a lovely linen jumper in bright blue (bit like Zara one) for me (ignoring fact its not really a Summer colour!) and [[http://www.debijenkorf.nl/page/product_flypage?product=2387010012&fh_session=cjfrs99ao1lc6ehg4k8nbegtn2&omitxmldecl=yes&fh_maxdisplaynrvalues_brand=1000&fh_secondid=2387010012&fh_lister_pos=32&fh_location=//catalog01/nl_NL/categories

PORTIA4 · 20/04/2011 13:50

Left work to drive to Dublin to get Hasbeens, as we can't buy online from H&M in ROI, 'Couldn't make up my mind as to what colour to get, so on the advice of another shopper bought all the colours, until I make my mind up! The other shopper turned out to be no other than Verity! A true meeting of like minds!

ApuskiDusky · 20/04/2011 14:26

LOL Portia, a spontaneous mini meet-up over the hasbeens!

I've just ordered some online - needed some stuff for the ds's anyway.

VerityBrulee · 20/04/2011 14:30

Portia that was so funny, the only two women in Ireland interested in Hasbeens are W&A ladies! It was so nice to meet you, next time we must have lunch Smile

I got the red size 4s, wearing them now they are super comfy and a great everyday height. Also got these in pink in M&S on the way back to the car-park, they look good with olive houlis as an alternative to ballerinas.

Am feeling a tad guilty as my lovely friend offered to take my dc for the morning so I could work, and it's nearly time to collect them and I have done nothing. Better do a frenzied hour so I have something to show for my day Blush

tulpe · 20/04/2011 14:35

Verity - can I ask you about sizing please?

Am now a little concerned as other people on the Hasbeens thread are saying they come up small - not just width wise but also length. Do I need to size up from my regular shoe size in your opinion? (not sure I can face going into the store but needs must etc etc...!)

NanAstley · 20/04/2011 15:50

Oh dear, I can't get to H+M till Friday. They'e going to be sold out till then aren't they? Sad

petitdonkey · 20/04/2011 15:50

Verity and portia - that's brilliant!!

NanAstley · 20/04/2011 15:52

I can't see them online. Are they for sale instore only?

VerityBrulee · 20/04/2011 16:49

Tulpe I don't think they're small, I'm usually a 36/37, so 3 1/2 really, but I usually end up buying 4 as 3 1/2 is hard to find and the H&M 4 are ever so slightly loose, buckled on the last hole and a little space at the toe. Perfect for summer when feet might swell a little in the heat.

HTH Smile

carciofi · 20/04/2011 17:09

Portia and Verity, that's gas! I like the pink shoes, Verity.

Emo, it was easy to put together. Well, DH did it but it seemed easy. :)

No advice on the sleeping, OWW. DD sometimes stays awake until 9 playing in her cot (need to get her a bed very soon).

Thanks for the bday wishes for DD. We went out for the day and then came back here for cake with her little friend. She said she had a lovely time.

I ordered the bright red hasbeens and got a further 25% off for registering (code is 8964). Hope they fit.

Nan, try this link.

wideawakenurse · 20/04/2011 19:01

Hello All.

Thank you for the kind words about DS. He was fine in the end, and I was able to go to work and then leave with a sense of relief. Today we spent the day in the hospital having a peanut challenge, which went well and it seems DS is not allergic to peanuts Grin. Stressful though, with DS running around the ward, weaving in and out of everywhere and me trying to catch up. In ended up ordering the red hasbeens to reward myself for such a tiring day!

What a great story about VB and Portia, how did you get talking?

NY Hope you have a wonderful time with DH.

Hello to everyone else. Busy evening ahead, packing for Cumbria trip with mini Edinburgh trip in the middle of it!

FritziGreenEyes · 20/04/2011 19:06

Happy Birthday mini-carciofi!

Love the spontaneous meet-up at H&M portia and verity!

ollie sorry no advice for sleeping problem. The only thing I have observed have that the more you want them to go to sleep the less likely they are to and the more tense you get etc etc Could you try a different bedtime routine for DS altogether to get out of the rut? Hope things get better soon.

carciofi · 21/04/2011 09:27

Bringing us back from page 2!

Have a good trip, Wideawake.

I cancelled my Hasbeens order, I think I'd prefer red espadrilles.

DH is off until 3rd May now, hurray! It's almost 9.30 and both DD and DH are still asleep.

Emo76 · 21/04/2011 11:03

VB and Portia that's really cool!

carciofi I've ordered that furniture set - great price, good reviews and on your recommendation!

Counting down to four days off pottering around at home with my girls and getting some excercise! Had a monster night out last night which ended up in Annabelle's nightclub which was very civilised - have not been before! Navy janice was involved.
