Hello Smile

Sorry I have been AWOL, Have been catching up with thread late at night when I have run out of energy to post. There just aren't enough hours in the day ATM. Longing for May 4th when I will have handed in all my college work, I have a lengthy list of things I want to do.

Bloss enjoy your hols Envy. We went to Rome when I was 10, I remember it vividly, everyone seemed so glamorous. I wanted a handbag and we bought one in this fabulous shop where everything was kept in glass cases. I still have it. Happy memories, hope you have a fabulous time Smile

Carciofi your handbag and scarf collection must be fabulous, just as well you have dds to hand them on to! So glad your dad was over to visit and MIL has come up trumps in the end. I love all the names you've chosen.

Vin how fantastic about the medicine place, well done! I don't envy you having to decide what to do, but I would be inclined to say defer for the year, save as much as you can, and get rid of P.

I became obsessed with these zara sandals a couple of weeks ago. I kept trying them on in every Zara I passed, but not buying as orange is just not my colour. They are so not me , but there is just something about them I love, they look so 'Dolce Vita' and glamorous. Eventually gave in and bought them, but I had to bring them back, I am so pale and no amount of fake tan will make me that golden colour that you need to be to wear them. I hope someone else buys them, they are very comfortable!

Another disaster with this dress I love the style, but it is the colour of American Tan tights, yuck.

On school hols now, so hope to catch up properly soon.

wideawakenurse · 18/04/2011 21:37

Thanks Bloss. I'm not sure that my stomach would look that great. Boat necks tend to be baggy on me too. Like the blue dress though. Happy packing!

Vin - Great news, congratulations. You clearly impressed.

Fritzi - Your night out sounded good, and hopping over a fence too, very agile. What sort of break were you thinking of? City/Beach/County? How far are you prepared to go?

carciofi - great the the previa has resolved. I had it too, although mine resolved 2 days before I went into labour, I was having weekly scans to see if it would budge up!

Fleecy your zoo outfit sounds great, imagine that EA would wear something similar at the zoo Smile. Will be interesting to see what the gym advise you to do.

NY glad you are having a nice break, you have nailed it with the weather.

marsha those shoes are lovely, what a gorgeous colour. I agree with Emo that although the logo'ed bit is large, it's not obviously a name if you know what I mean. If, however it had 'Juicy Couture' emblazoned upon, that would be a different matter. Grin

I am stressing as tomorrow is my last day in work before 10 days holiday. have back to back meetings and a load of work to do/handover. DS has gone to bed with some sort of strange rash though, and am worried he wont make nursery tomorrow. It's in the form of large, clear blisters. Since his bath he has 2 on his bottom and two under his eye. Bad, bad timing.

petitdonkey · 18/04/2011 22:44

Happy holidays Bloss!!

carciofi · 19/04/2011 08:28

Bloss, I would make him repack! At what time are you off? Buon viaggio. Just read your dress review, I am tempted to buy one. However dh has just looked at my ankles and told me I am putting on weight all over. Now there is honest and there is too honest.

I want the bag but I fear it would not be wise. But yes, as Verity says they are an investment for the girls!

Verity, good luck with finishing all your work. I love those sandals but orange does not suit my Irish colouring either.

Wideawake, hope your DS is ok.

MarshaBrady · 19/04/2011 09:19

Thanks everyone! Have kept the bright flats. Really good thanks.

wideawake hope your ds is ok.

Cariciofi good plan on the investment for girls.

Lovely sunny day here... so nice.

CHOOGIRL · 19/04/2011 10:09

wideawake hope your ds is ok and you manage to have a productive and not very exhausting day at work Smile

carciofi I didn't even have ankles in the last month of pregnancy. My legs started at my thighs and went down at the same thickness like tree stumps [shick] Blush

marsha nice flats

bloss have a good time in Rome. May the sun be with you Grin

CHOO I have been reading the Henley thread and enjoying the links very much. I cannot be of any help as I have never (yet) had the chance to go anywhere like that Angry

NanAstley · 19/04/2011 11:45

What do you all think of this dress? I like the floatiness of it, but if I have to layer it with vests and cardigans, it isn't going to be very versatile, is it?

blossoming · 19/04/2011 12:22

Grazie carciofi. In aeroporto.

Wow, love Manchester Airport. Great shopping!

Ciao!

bloss Have a lovely holiday!!!

nan Nice dress but I find the neckline difficult. What would you wear under it?

carciofi Don't listen to your DH!

wideawake How is DS?

fleecy Thanks for the tip. Haven't decided yet where to go as we only have 3,5 days. Maybe Venice? Have fun at the gym!

marsha Ballet flats are a great colour for spring/summer. Wouldn't be bothered by the logo.

verity We have missed you but it sounds like you have a lot of work on. I'm sure we can find you sandals with a wooden heel similar to the Zara ones Wink. Which colours would be good for you?

Portia Where are you going on holiday? I am thinking about doing a little Royal Wedding get-together with some girlfriends plus daughters next Friday. The only problem is that I have to work until 12 which is 11 UK time. Will it be too late then???

emo Enjoy walk to work in the spring sunshine!

Where is ollie? I'm about to have a coffee in my lovely MOAMU owl-cup!

OllieWollieWoo · 19/04/2011 15:04

carciofi · 19/04/2011 17:18

Thanks, I will give DH a kick later. :) He has just cancelled his day off tomorrow as is busy in work. It is DD's birthday so a bit annoying.

Annie, I like the natural colour.

Nan, lovely dress.

FritziGreenEyes · 19/04/2011 18:53

ollie Love the stripey top!

carciofi What a shame about DH not being there for DD's birthday. Can you make sure you do something extra-nice for yourself and DD tomorrow to make up for it? Go somewhere nice for lunch, buy some treats for her and yourself? Or have a manicure while she naps in the stroller?

AntPants1 · 19/04/2011 19:48

carciofi ignore your naughty DH. I am sure your ankles are lovely. Mine during pregnancy. Another story altogether!!!!

nan I love the dress. Go buy!!!

fritzi I think you will be cutting it fine with the royal wedding. I am going to completely indulge my princess fantasies on the day!!!! Prob not cool but am really excited. I was about 8 when charles and di got married and have such vivid memories of the day.

AntPants1 · 19/04/2011 19:54

carciofi the marriage service is at 11am. See timetable here www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/royal-wedding/8453985/Royal-wedding-timetable-from-opening-of-Westminster-Abbey-doors-to-RAF-fly-past.html

AntPants1 · 19/04/2011 19:54

Oops. Meant fritizi!!!!!

Emo76 · 19/04/2011 20:21

wideawake I hope poor DS is on the mend

carciofi I appreciate it isn't a competitive sport, but I am almost certain that my ankles and legs were the MOST hideous in town EVER last summer before I had DD2. I am sure DH didn't realise quite how tactless he was being. Happy happy birthday to DD!

Bit of a "meh" day brightened by lovely navy BR trench and Reiss cream minna top with unimaginative black trousers and "nude" heels. Roll on the Easter weekend when I can catch up on laundry and domestic tasks (oh and scoff some choc)

Glass of wine and laptop - dangerous shopping combination!

Happy evenings all.

FritziGreenEyes · 19/04/2011 20:42

ant That is a great link, thanks. I am scheming to leave work a bit early to be able to pick up DD in time from kindergarten and get settled in front of TV for the start of the service Smile.

emo I am also going a bit crazy with online shopping at the moment. Although in my case that means garden furniture and sensible Boden summer dress, oh and bikinis of course Grin. I had my first iced coffee today, with too many one Lindt dark chocolate Easter egg.

carciofi · 19/04/2011 20:47

Heheh, thanks ladies. They are a little puffy but i am trying to do loads of walking (got to get into those Houlihans soon!).

Fritzi, good idea but sadly (for me) she has not had a nap in over a year. Have just blown up a load of balloons and baking a cake now. Tomorrow we are going out with a friend and her little boy to a local playcentre and they are coming back to our house for cake. It is bonus time soon for dh so he can't rock the boat. Still annoying. I think they should have a dad and daughter day on Sat to make up, while I go shopping, sit in a café etc. :)
