New thread here!

Bloss - slightly odd question for you- I have bought shred and was planning on starting tonight - do you wear full on gym gear and do you work up quite a sweat? Also, do you eat before you do it or after? I normally shower and hair wash in the morning and it seems like a hassle to repeat every evening! Am I just trying to think of reasons not to do it???

OllieWollieWoo · 18/04/2011 16:27

Blossoming oohhh lovely, lovely, lovely that you got the IO dress! Hope you like and it was worth waiting for!!!
Apuski - sounds like a lucky escape. Shred should come with a health warning!

Update from OWW towers - we chopped the annoying tree down yesterday and I've spent 2 hours this afternoon sawing and chopping up the branches into piles and piles! I've got a blister on my hand but v pleased with the space its created - we now have a late afternoon/early evening sunny corner. (You all would have laughed if you had seen me and DH yesterday - DH and neighbour friend did all the manly work of chopping and sawing tree whilst I and neighbour's wife sat and had a drink - it was just like the diet coke ads when women letch at hunky bloke (DH refused to take t shirt off when requested tho!).

My Dutch course has been cancelled as I was the only one signed up. Part of me is of Sad and part of me is Smile (eg lots of 'me' time til the summer hols). DH now wants me to have a private tutor tho - costs around 60 euros an hour (think of all the clothes I could by with that!)

Visiting UK this weekend and just ordered a this from John Lewis - DH will raise his eyebrows but we need a new one and I do like little reminders of my heritage as it were!

MarshaBrady · 18/04/2011 17:12

Package here.

Bag awful, terrible. Poor thing. Has to go back.

Tshirt and bright Tory Burch shoes - good. Shoes really bright, and good quality flat.

So am very Smile.

Had a GREAT day at work, thing have been working on got reaction I was after, Pil got on well with the children. Am feeling pretty good all round!

Will be back later to catch up on all your news. Smile

blossoming · 18/04/2011 17:15

Oh no. Just had 2 glasses of champagne next door. Parents celebrating 48 years of marriage.

This packing is never going to get done, is it?

carciofi · 18/04/2011 17:37

Bloss, have a great holiday.

Marsha, glad work is going well. I really like those flats.

Fritzi, you will be one hot mama!

DH is off next week so think I will go and compare the bag I have with the bag I'd like. :) Though how many black bags do you need?!

carciofi · 18/04/2011 17:41

P.S. Bloss, I like the dress, gorgeous colour.

moragbellingham · 18/04/2011 17:44

Ooh I fancy a glass of champagneWink.

I've just received my Boden lady dresses - thanks bloss.
I would never have gone for that colour but you know when you immediately think "yes". The white would be great for holidays but totally impractical for a few years yet!

blossoming · 18/04/2011 17:59

petit, I do wear gym gear, and I do sweat! I leave it till the kids are in bed. I eat at 5 with them. Then I shower and change into my pjs. Then maybe have a snack. It's what works for me!

OP posts:
ApuskiDusky · 18/04/2011 18:47

Shredded (without homicidal DS around), showered and contemplating outfit for dinner tonight with friends. I will keep it casual as it's an extreme-dress-down crowd, so think CoH flared jeans, high heeled sandy suede boots (still not taken up the hem on my jeans so need to be super tall) and an as yet undetermined 'naice' top. A bit 'mums' night out' but so be it!

Bloss, have a fab holiday!

ApuskiDusky · 18/04/2011 19:20

Hmmm. Apparently I need more 'naice' tops. Discarded pile is growing.

Emo76 · 18/04/2011 19:20

Happy hols Bloss!

Marsha I think I missed the link, but bright flats of sound quality sound like a wise buy to me.

Apuski enjoy your no doubt well earned night out!

OWW shame about the Dutch lessons, could you try Rosetta Stone? I hear they are very good. Love the ironing board cover, only £9 too!

BR order has arrived and navy trench fabulous, makes me realise what a state my other one is in (3 yrs old, needs a dry clean etc etc) White shorts may be rather optimistic but will try on later - my legs are my best feature so worth a shot.

Going to run (run/walk) home from work tomorrow, I am fed up with feeling so sluggish and cr*p about my body - baby is now 6 months old so really I have left it long enough and run out of excuses. Shred video still in it's wrapper...!

MarshaBrady · 18/04/2011 19:21

Anniemac good luck with the project, am sure you will ace it Smile.

Carciofi that jcrew stuff looks really good.

Bloss great colour dress, will really look great on you.

Fritzi love the bikinis. your poor dh. Have you found somewhere to go? I'm not very good with finding holiday places (as always go home really).

Ollie my calculations pretty much centre around how much I could buy with that too Grin. Except for the cleaner, wouldn't give that up.

Bloss have a great holiday.

Apuski outfit sounds fab, have you found one? have a good night out.

Can't wait to do the same, instead of split shifting with dh! He gets home and I start doing work. Finished now for a few weeks. Am going to celebrate (well a little bit).

MarshaBrady · 18/04/2011 19:27

Emo they are these ones. They are pretty much fluorescent bright which I like. But the badge am not sure about.

Dh just said he really didn't like the badge and it made me think I have always disliked logo/branding like this so would normally avoid. But then I really like the quality and the colour.

Not sure what to do, keep or send back. Any opinions greatly appreciated!

MarshaBrady · 18/04/2011 19:28

Good luck with run walk tomorrow Emo. Takes a while to beat that tiredness so you are doing very well!

Emo76 · 18/04/2011 19:29

Oh Marsha you seem so pleased with those, I say KEEP! The logo is v obvious but it's not bad IMO and I am not an obvious label lover either. If it was in gold or something I might have other views but it blends well with the shoe.

AntPants1 · 18/04/2011 19:52

Hello carciofi it's ooh not me TTC. But gosh seeing it in writing made me shiver. Logically I know I am "done" with my lovely two but I would be happy with an accident! My DH is adamant though that we have completed our family. We had such a horrid time having two that I know he is right...but...ooh how lovely it would be!!! oh just went off on one there!!!!!

bloss love the IO dress and am sorely tempted to by the wrap dress in electric blue. I have it in black and it's lovely.

not yummy I know you were looking to spend your jigsaw vouchers really but if you are interested in a sequin jumper I saw a lovely one in the sale in Ted Baker today. www.tedbaker.com/women%27s/seasonal_offers/90003-sequin_knitted_top/detail.aspx?pfm=browse

Quite tempted by this ted baker t shirt

Have just got LK Bennet nude shoes from my mum for my birthday. They are lovely.

AntPants1 · 18/04/2011 19:59

marsha keep! Logo a bit meh but the colour is just so lovely they are definitely keepers!!

notyummy · 18/04/2011 20:00

Hi all!

Annie- good luck with project.

Bloss-hope you have a great holiday.

Emo- hope the fitness programme starts ok!

Sorry to those I have missed- iPhone struggles a bit.

Had another amazing day in Brighton. It is like being on the continent! Lively long run along the seafront this morning and then a chilled day with dd and dh in the sun on the beach and the pier. So much fun, just watching people play sports, building sand castles etc. Just off to dinner on new wooden heels, gap coated skinnies and blue silk blouse.

wideawakenurse · 18/04/2011 20:03

Evening All. Bloss talk to me about that IO ruched jersey dress that you had. Am tempted with the 30% off. Is is totally unforgiving in the stomach area?

Back later...

carciofi · 18/04/2011 20:12

Oh Ants, I'm sorry I mixed you and Oooh up Blush. Lovely shoes.

Emo, my shred dvd is still in the wrapper too, ready and waiting for June. :) I am going to rejoin my old gym as soon as we get a car. I miss it, the days are long without the routine of going.

Marsha, I would keep the shoes, the colour is so lovely.

AntPants1 · 18/04/2011 20:20

Tis perfectly ok carciofi I will just have to get excited about my friends' babies!!!!

blossoming · 18/04/2011 20:20

fritzi, what a great idea. I know of no romantic getaways in warm countries though unfortunately! I can't wait to get dh away from his work. He is so happy tonight for a change.

marsha, have a glass of champagne! But keep away from stray mushrooms till you decide on the shoes!

Your holiday sounds lovely notyummy.

Have a good night apuski.

Go for it emo. You'll feel so much better for it.

wideawake, it's not bad on the tummy, it was just baggy on the top bit for me. It's a bit boatneck which is my worst neckline.

More bags carciofi! You know you want to! You must have some collection by now.
Lol at mrscb 'finding' three gucci bags too!

Off to finish packing. With a slight hangover.

OP posts:
Fleecy · 18/04/2011 20:46

fritzi if you sign up for voyageprive.com you can have access to lots of different travel offers. Some of them seem very nice and it's up to 70% off.

Have fun on your hols bloss

I have booked up a gym appointment on Sunday as I'm fed up with not being able to do weights etc because I don't know what I should and shouldn't be doing. So I'm going to get a tailored programme and some new class recommendations. I am determined not to put on 3.5 stone this time...

apuski I'm sure you look fab in your non-discarded top Smile

ny you've got the perfect weather for Brighton - what marvellous timing!

We went to the zoo today, well 'wildlife gardens' but with big cats and monkeys aplenty. I didn't know what to wear because it was sunny but it's still not super warm. Settled on skinny khakis, black slouchy tee, old gold sort of gladiators and a leopard print scarf which was about right but there were people there in denim hotpants and vests - not quite that warm yet Shock

PORTIA4 · 18/04/2011 20:48

Bloss Can just imagine you in IO dress, it looks great, 'hope that you have a wonderful holiday Smile
Fritzi love your bikinis! Have just booked summer hols, so am starting to look for beachwear etc.
Marsha great shoes, you should keep them.
Emo another shred owner here- keep promising to start next week!
Apuski hope that you have a great night out.
Just realised that royal wedding is only a week and a half away, am heading over to London for the day with some pals, we're having lunch, all dressed appropriatley for a wedding!
Yummy Sounds like you're having a wonderful break.
Off to buy Bloss' sun dress from Boden!

Fleecy · 18/04/2011 21:09

Oh yes and congratulations vin and yes, fritzi fab choice of bikinis - I had a look at the outnet stuff and those were the two I liked the best.
