Anything loose and flowing - I am short and look like I am wearing a sack. Oh and collarless shirts.

controlpantsandgladrags · 24/03/2011 10:55

Anything with even a slightly high neck makes my norks look cartoon huge. Anything too floral or girly somehow makes me look very butch and not at all girly Confused

withagoat · 24/03/2011 10:56

ruffles

i look like am dressing up.
and son2 says " dresses just dont suit you mum"

thanks for that mate

UGG boots. They make me look about 4' tall and the same wide.

BovrilonToast · 24/03/2011 10:57

Dresses and leggings. I want to wear them, but I look ridiculous - about 5.

NotGlynisAnymore · 24/03/2011 10:57

anything with a collar

any sort of gym clothing

trainers

DonaAna · 24/03/2011 10:58

Maxi skirts (frumpola).
Carrot jeans (the worst shape for my body ever).
Liberty prints - unflattering librarian look.
Anything sack-like.
Also tempted to add, anything viscose, polyester, acrylic.

GentleOtter · 24/03/2011 11:00

Any 'good' clothes. I look and feel like PermaTwat.

withagoat · 24/03/2011 11:01

yes florals are shit here too

OP posts:
sue52 · 24/03/2011 11:02

clogs, uggs and all things floral.

theagedparent · 24/03/2011 11:03

High heels, look like a 5 year old playing dressing up

Lizzylou · 24/03/2011 11:04

Anything yellow
Tunics
Ruffles
Loose fitting tops

NotGlynisAnymore · 24/03/2011 11:04

sorry - forgot the 'how'

collars - no neck and broad shoulders, great for the builder look

gym stuff - it's SSOOOO obvious i don't wear them very often Shock

trainers - i feel like a twat in white shoes.

CourseyoucanMalcolm · 24/03/2011 11:06

All recieved wisdom insists that cropped jackets are the last word in flattering for my body shape.

So how come I look like a dapper little twat in them then?

sue52 · 24/03/2011 11:06

Just saw the how Clogs and uggs make my legs look stumpy and florals make me look like an old lady draped in a taplecloth.

DuplicitousBitch · 24/03/2011 11:07

i tried on some skinny coloured jeans yesterday, it wasn't my finest sartorial hour.

long skirts rarely look good on anyone non willowy and past mid 20's

eldritch · 24/03/2011 11:08

That long jumper and leggings look - tried it once and two people asked me when I was due (was not pregnant!). Blush

ullainga · 24/03/2011 11:08

3/4 leggings. I don't have the slimmest legs anyway, but with those they looked like two tiny plump sausages. So bad it was funny.

withagoat · 24/03/2011 11:09

WIDE LEG trousers.
look like i might be dancing the hornpipe

OP posts:
milge · 24/03/2011 11:09

waterfall cardigans

DuplicitousBitch · 24/03/2011 11:10

i can't accessorize without feeling a twat, you know little neck scarfs , long beads etc

DuplicitousBitch · 24/03/2011 11:10

i love wide leg trews!

withagoat · 24/03/2011 11:10

Long beeds
am TERRIFIED of looking like a early 80s French teacher when they hook around one tit and no ones says, just STARES willing it to drop off the tit

OP posts:
withagoat · 24/03/2011 11:11

beads surely

#hitsself
