I was almost blinded today.
Boots have a half-price sunglasses offer on if you really have to go past Per Una.

I very much like the fabric, themumsnot, but I have a magnificent embonpoint and need greater coverage.

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 15:47

£995 notes for that fucking monstrosity? Jeez fucking OShock

AlistairSim · 23/03/2011 15:47

I'm sure you look delightful in it, Hully.

Btw, I have an anchor and a parrot you can borrow if you want.

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 15:49

The Matthew Williamson thing I mean. Not entirely sure what is is, other than a mess that I would not be seen dead in.
I'd rather wear the Per Una, even though I would resemble a marquee on acid.

Themumsnot · 23/03/2011 15:49

For those of you who, unlike Hully, don't suit a maxi dress, may I offer you this instead?

OP posts:
Themumsnot · 23/03/2011 15:51

I have that problem too Hully, but I find that when people's eyes are riveted on my tits they tend not to notice my ass.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 23/03/2011 15:52

I think you are a bit rude and fixated on privates, themumsnot.

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 15:52

No, Themumsnot, you may not.
That's shockingly awful.

Themumsnot · 23/03/2011 15:58

But Netto, it is Limited Collection. Not even Per Una. Limited Collection is supposed to be one of the classier bits of M&S. Grin

Don't be silly Hully, I much prefer officers to privates.

OP posts:
herecomesthsun · 23/03/2011 16:53

No, netto, this is what a marquee dress would look like.

foundwanting · 23/03/2011 17:00

They really should have let that Boden model go for a wee before they took her photo.

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 17:01

Limited Collection?
For those with limited taste, or sight possibly, yes.

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 17:02

Haha, I was just thinking, 'why is that woman clutching her fanjo'?

lubeybooby · 23/03/2011 17:15

The cut is not forgiving, it makes the model look huge. Theres forgiving, then theres too much fabric

TryLikingClarity · 23/03/2011 17:55

Hully - I have a close friend who is a size 26 and she often wears dresses and flowing tops like the one on the M&S link. She looks lovely.

If you're happy wear it, and don't care what anyone else says.

CheerfulYank · 23/03/2011 18:43

You don't go about clutching your fanjo? Confused

MadameDefarge · 23/03/2011 18:49

up side is it will highlight your tiny fee. Ahem.

Hullygully · 23/03/2011 18:51

My tiny fee?

What fresh hell is this?

Are you suggesting I charge??

NettoSuperstar · 23/03/2011 19:00

Not usually CheerfulYank, though I was tempted when I had chronic thrush the other week.
I'm thinking that wasn't the look Johnnie Boden was going for in his catalogue though?

animula · 23/03/2011 19:01

That first link has taken me straight back to my childhood.

I think the 70s styles discriminate against those of us who are short, with breasts.

Has everyone seen the Gisele ads for H and M? they make me strangely depressed, because they exude wafting and I will never, ever waft.

Buda · 23/03/2011 19:01

I am crying with laughter here! Poor Hully. First you insult her dress and then make her out to be a lady of the night. Oh dear! Grin

The colours in that dress are gorgeous Hully. I too am large. I like the idea of wearing something like that but fear I would look like a ship in full sail. Blush

I am sure you look elegant and fab.

Habbibu · 23/03/2011 19:21

Has anyone told Hully yet that she actually does have stringy hair?

It's said with love, Hully. But the salty look is no-one's friend.

CheerfulYank · 23/03/2011 19:24

This thread has made me shriek with laughter. DS is beside himself, running around yelling "what's funny, mommy? WHAT?" :)

I can't really comment because as someone who never gets out of jeans (no matter what you read in the bathroom stall Wink ) I have no style a'tall.

But I guarantee it looks lovely on Hully.

AlistairSim · 23/03/2011 19:34

I've just seen the new M&S add and it all looks rancid.

You shouldn't feel bad about having no sense of style, Hully.
It's not really your fault and I'm sure you have other good qualities.

Themumsnot · 23/03/2011 19:39

I would like to know why Hully was buying a beach dress in March.
Are you going on a cruise, Hully?
