Way to go Emo! Hope that you're home and relaxing now!
OWW Hope that you manage to source more cava Wine
Another beauiful day here, if this keeps up there'll be an opening for a 'spring wardrobe' in the Emerald Isle! Wore my pink mac for the first time today Smile

carciofi · 25/03/2011 20:00

Lovely scarves, Bloss.

Your DD has a great imagination, NY!

Glad you bought the Houlihans, Fritzi, I bet they look amazing on you.

I have Burberry envy too. I really like this navy trench but it is so expensive.

Happy birthday to your DD, Reine. Did you buy the shoes? The print is fab on the dress.

AllBuggiedOut · 25/03/2011 20:26

Yay emo! what shoes did you wear with Janice and opaques btw...?

reine I adore the print of that dress too! My caterpillar head was victoria sponge which I brushed with warmed apricot jam before covering with ready-made roll out icing. good luck with it!

Ooh gorgeous trench carciofi. I'm e-baying a green Boden one on the grounds that I don't love it, and am planning to buy one I do love. This is my new mantra btw, "If I don't love it, I won't buy it". This may mean I remain coat-less for some time, but the Burbury does look worth saving up for...

Right, gotta go cos pissed already (opened bottle of fizz with friend at 4.30, and been drinking since on an empty stomach). Back later after food!

blossoming · 25/03/2011 20:35

That's a lovely trench carciofi, and relatively cheap!

exhausted, you obviously have great taste!

You sound very wise this evening abo! hope everyone else is cracking open a wine or two too!

carciofi · 25/03/2011 21:40

I will have to do some serious ebaying to get the coat! I like your mantra, ABO.

Peppermint tea for me tonight but wine soon .. . only 11 weeks to go.

Thanks for the tip abo only just got back to the computer, cava in hand, job done with caterpillar..head was okay but cupcake icing went too soft so swirled rather than piped so not too professional looking but hoping the 1year olds less discerning than the 4 year old!Sounds like a very fun afternoon for you.

The Cls were not in my size ladies,I had been watching another pair..new,python sandals but they went for nearly 400 pounds..eek!am thinking of ebaying my as yet unworn leopard print ones as my feet are a little bigger post dd2 and when I try them on they hurt even more than they did when I bought them..ouch!have you listed anything yet roary

am glad you ladies approve of the dress's print and I didn't get told off by bloss Wink for the pale background colour.

carciofi I love that trench.only 11 weeks to go,brilliant,I hope it flies for you.

thanks for the h and m tip exhausted don't worry too much about the scarf though,I'm sure someone will do a good rip off soon.

ReineDeSaba · 25/03/2011 22:17

ooh happy birthday everything ..sorry cannot help with either dilemma as no F* off diamonds in this house and definitely not a white stuff type of girl.your scarf sounds divine,do you have a link?

FritziGreenEyes · 25/03/2011 23:54

Happy birthday everything!!!

Emo76 · 26/03/2011 06:02

abo I wore navy Janice with black opaques and patent black open toe heels (some Cole haan ones I got in the US about 2 years ago with Nike Air technology in the soles - relatively comfy!) Sometimes I am not sure about navy and black together but it seemed to work in this case.

Someone asked if I bumped in to any princes at Mahiki - I think they may have moved on from there, to my surprise I wasn't amongst the oldest in the club!! It was fun but boy did I feel it yesterday.

everything hope you had a lovely birthday. No advice re antique diamonds here though I think second hand makes a lot of sense. Needs to be certificated though (clarity, quality etc) IMO.

carciofi nice trench, agree it's expensive, I am umming and ahhing on the matter myself and will probably go for a Banana Republic one instead - not quite the same but will "do" for me!

OWW Hope the holiday chalet is going well and fresh supplies of cava can be sought ASAP

DD2 is up bright and early and therefore so am I, hurrah for clocks changing tomorrow - will technically be a lie in!

Lipsy cream "fur" coat arrived yesterday but really it doesn't do me any favours so will go back. A bit stuck as to what to wear over my pink dress (in profile pics) for wedding in Liverpool next weekend. Any suggestions? I don' want to freeze in the church!

carciofi · 26/03/2011 06:53

Happy birthday, Everything! The scarf sounds gorgeous. Beach bags, hmm, Accessorize or Debenhams? I bought my engagement ring in an antique shop in Dublin in the end but spent a lot of time looking in Hatton Gardens. Have had no occasion to shop for diamonds since but I remember they had some beautiful rings.

Emo, I am wide awake at 6 at the moment but it is different when you have to get up! I am not sure about paying that much for a trench, I keep thinking about what else I could buy. Almost a Mulberry bag ... but not from that website linked to on another thread. Would the fake fur work in another colour? I have Cole Haan Nike Air shoes, wish they sold them here.

blossoming · 26/03/2011 07:11

Happy birthday everything. sorry about your parents. The scarf sounds gorgeous.
I will keep an eye out for beach bags today, but in the meantime I will share my favourite with you Anya Hindmarch here.

blossoming · 26/03/2011 07:15

Morning emo and carciofi. I'm excited that I'm finally linking from iPhone!

mrsjuan · 26/03/2011 07:17

Morning,
Carciofi- I absolutely love that trench - yes it's pricey but would last a fair few years no? Bloss's BR one looked v smart in real life though if you don't want to pay quite so much.

Emo- sounds like a good night and they sound like my kind of shoes Grin

Happy birthday everything. Scarf sounds beautiful. I love the jewellery quarter in birmingam for f**k of diamonds old and new- a bit far away but there must be a similar place closer to you.

Thank you for sling recommendation Apuski. Hope your ds is feeling better.

Weekends sound great OWW and fritzi. Hope the cava supplies increased!

My sister still hasn't had her baby- just as well really has we've all had the lurgy and wouldn't have been able to visit anyway.

Happy Saturdays everyone

carciofi · 26/03/2011 07:32

That AH bag is lovely, Bloss. Well done on the linking!

MrsJ, hope you are feeling better. How overdue is your sister? I will be induced this time. Or seduced, as my brother used to call it.

I'm in no rush to buy the trench so will think it over. Problem is any time I get some money together, I see something I want sooner!

PORTIA4 · 26/03/2011 08:00

Morning Ladies, glad to see that we're all up bright eyed and bushy tailed and shopping!

Carciofi Have you considered going to Bicester to the Burberry outlet? You could be lucky! I can't believe that you only have 11 weeks left to go - hopefully it will fly by Smile

Emo I love your dress, but unfortunately have no jacket suggestions, I brought DD1 to Mahiki last summer post A levels and we really had good fun and I wasn't even the oldest, maybe we should go there for next MOAMU!

Have ordered this to wear to some first communions that I have coming up, also ordered this in navy and this bag and some silver pumps for DD3.

Now for breakie am eyeing up some delicous choccy cake made by DD2 yesterday Brew

Bloss - love that beach bag!!

Everything - your scarf sounds gorgeous!! For second hand diamonds, The Burlington Arcade just off Picadilly in London has some beautiful shops.

Anything here for your sister?

I have a christening to go to in a few weeks - am considering this with tan wedges, maybe belted or this styled exactly as they show it - what is the opinion of the collective wises??!

MarshaBrady · 26/03/2011 08:20

Happy birthday Everything Smile

Really lovely links...

Pickled dh is being really great, looking after children so I can do work and not pay childcare this weekend and booked holidays so we keep nanny costs down. Pius friend. Think only using her for half the days I work tg as she is very good and justifiably expensive! ( anniemac I did go for the younger, better looking version of me Wink)

Had a dip yesterday as emall went down so up at 5am to see why. And am hideous on so little sleep thought argh how am I going to do this. But cracked it last night and am excited again!

carciofi not long now!

Reine love the dress

anniemac great outnet buying, Am looking forward to first pay! AND it only takes 1 week unlike other thing which take 2+ years and needs to go to lawyers, bah

fritzi great re houlis!

NY I'm sure your dd is brainy like you and dh! I proudly showed the ht ds' first words which were 'daddy I didn't mean it I am sorry'. phonetic/incorrect spelling etc. I was proud as punch and the ht gasped 'oh my goodness what did he do?!'. Oh the shame Grin

roary how's the excellent dress,?

Verity great projects! Be great to hear more about course at next mu.

I have to go ds2 not happy am on computer. Waves to everyone. Day of work today. but interesting so will be rather enjoyable.

MarshaBrady · 26/03/2011 08:21

Morning Smile

Wow, Marsha that sounds like the perfect set-up, hope you get lots done over the week-end

Petit that pink Farhi dress is so pretty

Portia how old are your dds? You sound so young and energetic how could you possibly have a dd who has done A levels??

Carciofi that is so exciting about the house! I hope it all works out for you. How fantastic for your dds to live by the sea and be close to your dad.

Everything Happy birthday, your scarf sounds lovely. I have a friend who always spends her bonuses on diamonds, they are a great investment and always hold their value unlike shares - so Wise and Avid! She always buys them at auctions, has some stunners that cost a fraction of their value. I am not remotely envious

Anniemac thank you SO MUCH for your lovely compliment the other day, I have had a bit of a rubbish week and you really made my day Smile I don't know how you work full time with 2 little dds and remain so energetic Envy

Emo I know you felt a bit the worst for wear yesterday, but I bet it was fun the other night. It's so good to be spontaneous even if it gives you a headache the next day!

Exhausted so typical that scarf was Vuitton!

fritzi SO excited you got the houlis at last. Wear them well Smile

OWW hope the sun is shining for you, your boys will have a ball and hopefully you have got your hands on supplies of cava by now.

Bloss bloddy MIL, speeding was def her fault Wink Have you decided on your Rome wardrobe yet?

I am soo tired, only 3 weeks left at college, I just can't wait to be finished. The constant rushing from college to shops to school, etc is wearing me out. I really enjoy the creative side but the logistics are killing me. I suffered very badly with chronic fatigue/ME after a bout of glandular fever when I was a student and was pretty much housebound for 18 months. I get tired very easily since then, but then life with children is tiring so I've just accepted it as part of the deal IYKWIM. I am very much looking forward to doing very little in May/June so I have some energy to enjoy the summer hols. Please, please, please let us actually have a summer this year! I am dreaming of sitting in the warm sunshine wearing a pretty dress and sandals rather than layers and a jacket. It's not much to ask for!

Ok, better stop moaning, lots of baking to be done for dd's party, Reine you have inspired me Smile

BTW I saw a pale gold Mulberry Lily yesterday and it is lovely

loobylu3 · 26/03/2011 09:41

Happy Birthday everything! Hope you are being suitably spoilt :)

Congratulations on passing your driving test exhausted

Bad luck with the speed ticket bloss. I have been on a driver's awareness course too Blush. There was a large range of people attending- from retired people to teens!

I have finally figured out your name change PORTIA- a bit slow on the uptake here!

carciofi- that navy Burberry trench is lovely but v expensive, yes!

petit- I really like the look of the Nicole Farhi dress. In fact, I was wondering whether to try it myself a couple of months ago but wasn't quite sure if the pockets would make my hips look to big! If you do get it, I would love to know how it fits. Top Shop dress v pretty too.

reine- dress looks lovely! I can't believe you have a one year old. That applies to several of you actually!

fritzi- sounds like a lovely day yesterday! Hope you enjoy time with your friends today.

marsha- hope you manage to get masses done today. I can't believe you had to get lawyers involved- some people are just shocking!!

mrsj- hope you are all better now.

emo-respect girl. Impromptu late nights out are totally beyond me now, not that there is anywhere to go around here anyway!

Hello to everyone else that I have forgotten!

MarshaBrady · 26/03/2011 09:54

hey looby! yes to lawyers but not by me (London people are doing it for me) I absolutely don't have the funds for that!

Working now......
