Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
Emo76 · 25/03/2011 07:42

can report an EMERGENCY NAVY JANICE OUTING last night with opaques - went home and put DDs to bed etc and saw my colleagues were out for dinner and drinks with an open invitation. Was feeling quite down and decided going out couldn't make me feel worse so got a cab back in to town, not before getting changed into said outfit which is a FAIL SAFE option!

Left Mahiki at 2.30am I AM DESTROYED but at desk.

Might need some lunchtime shopping to perk me up.

Large coffee on board.

Transmission ends.

carciofi · 25/03/2011 08:18

Emo, you are some woman! Glad Janice was there for you!

Have fun, OWW. Good to have the cava in reserve.

My dad thought the house would be a great buy if we can get insurance so planning a trip back to Dublin to view it.

Fritzi, enjoy the break.

I thought the Outnet sale was on today but haven't received any emails.

blossoming · 25/03/2011 08:22

Wahey emo! Great effort!

Have a good time this weekend ollie. It sounds lovely.
Night away sounds lovely too fritzi.

We're off shopping to Chester tomorrow. Dh wants new work jeans, ds wants a new suitcase, must be blue and cabin sized, and dd needs a haircut.
Have to stop by Mil on the way home and nice sil and bil will also be there. I will probably need a large wine at lunchtime!
Dh just told me I could go on a 'speed awareness' course instead of taking the fine and points. The shame.

Right best get off the sofa ready for school run. Misty here this morning. Back in my cowl neck!

FritziGreenEyes · 25/03/2011 08:37

emo Sounds like a fab night out with janice Wink.

carciofi Exciting news about the house!

My train has been cancelled and I have to spend an hour in lounge at train station. I don't really mind as I have tea, new book, newspaper and Grazia.

I got new H&M catalogue through the post yesterday and some things looked nice, might check out flowery shirts to wear tucked into flared jeans later.

notyummy · 25/03/2011 09:07

Gorgeous weather - just out for a quick run before getting into work gear and going for a quick local meeting on my 'non working day' Hmm

OWW - hope you have a great time!

Emo - your post made me Grin. Hope your coffee helps your through the day...

Marsha - DDs writing pretty good for reception but I was cleaning up the spelling a LOT Wink A vivid imagination perhaps, and she is far from stupid, but we wont be applying to Mensa just yet Grin.

Hope all the MIL interaction this weekend goes swimmingly.

pickledsiblings · 25/03/2011 09:33

Fritzi, I like the sound of your day.

OWW, 3 bottles of cava, way to go. Have a lovely time.

Marsha, so glad you made it to your meeting sans baby. Have fun working. Is DH pleased about it all?

NY, it's the not worrying about spelling that allows the creative juices to flow. I would perhaps have the chat about fiction and fact though Grin. I can remember giving DD the phrase '...imagine if...' at that stage. She does sound a lot of fun your DD.

My IL situation that came to light at Christmas has finally been resolved after many tears and much transparency. Still, all's well that ends well Hmm.

Have great days .

Just a quick hello! Need to get loads of spring cleaning and chores done today.

Bloss bad luck re: speeding ticket, my DH went on the speed awareness course - think it cost almost the same as the fine but at least he avoided the points.

exhausted well done on the driving success!

NY your DD sounds as bright as a button, and cheeky with it Grin

My only S&B news- currently deliberating over which hasbeens to order!

ReineDeSaba · 25/03/2011 12:04

Well done OWW with the fire engine cake..when I told my DD1 that her birthday cake was very hard work she seemed very suprised..I can see myself morphing into one of those parents who likes to bang on about gratitude Grin your trip away sounds gorgeous, particularly the cava Smile

fritzi hope you aren't too worn out by all your weekend away prep to enjoy a little time to yourself.

annie what did you buy?

Am on operation organise a 1st birthday party for tomorrow..dd2 was still very poorly till yesterday but has suddenly turned around which means a manic bake day and no chance to enjoy the subnshine.

emo kudos!

zembo please take it easy, you are still recovering lovely lady..what was the A and W verdict on shorties in flares..yay or nay..was planning on wearing a dress tomorrow for birthday party but will probably need to do top and trousers in case of bf which has stepped up again with illness, sigh,so thinking flares?

Absolutely 'yes' to flares!! zembo looked fab in hers on Sunday.
Lots of birthday wishes to LOs and good luck with baking.
Purchases sound great anniemac.
Very exciting re house carciofi. your dd sounds a scream!
Envious of your run in the sunshine ny. I love the idea of it but realistically shredding suits me better!
Are you still awake emo?!

pickledsiblings · 25/03/2011 12:53

Reine, I second Bloss re Zembo and flares. You would look great in them too. I can't believe you have a little one who is just one Shock. You had so much energy at MOAM.

Emo76 · 25/03/2011 12:54

special report am awake having nearly fallen asleep in a rather boring meeting. 'Tis a lovely sunny day here, thank goodness it is Friday. Feeling a bit delicate. Can't wait to go to bed this evening!

OWW reading about your cake makes me want some...!

Bloss driver education sounds tedious but better than points

zembo I echo others - keep taking it easy please

NY your daughter sounds funny and obviously has a good imagination!

uuurgh

AntPants1 · 25/03/2011 13:37

Emo hang in there. Just a few more hours to go and you can climb into bed!!!

The most lovely sunny day here in west London. Am planning trip to park once I have picked DD up from school. Almost feel like singing!!!!

OllieWollieWoo · 25/03/2011 15:06

At woodland holiday park. In bungalow. Dh only packed one bottle of cava. I will be needing more.

FritziGreenEyes · 25/03/2011 15:31

In my hotel room with coffee, chocolate, an episode of project runway and...... drum roll..... a shopping bag with a pair of Houlis in Olympia. I am childishly happy but have to get into professional mode in 30 minutes a d pretend I'm well-prepared!

blossoming · 25/03/2011 16:07

Well done on the houlihans fritzi. Your day just gets better!
What's Dutch for 'not amused' ollie?!

roary · 25/03/2011 16:18

OWW your cake sounds amazing, glad DS decided so too after a while. But cava supplies need rectifying immediately.

Well done on houlis fritzi and meant to say yesterday your teaching sounds v exciting Bloss. It's all video link, isn't it? That's just amazing.

Emo as soon as I saw Mahiki I thought that you were much cooler than me. Did you see any princes?

OllieWollieWoo · 25/03/2011 16:20

Niet leuk bloss! To be fair its ok here, lovely sunny weather, amazing play area which a cafe terrace overlooks, bungalow in good location etc. Will just instigate bike ride to nearest supermarket tomorrow!
Well done fritzi, bet you look amazing in them! What colour is olympia? Am obsessing over leg length before i get some, i liked the length of exhausteds so will get my next houlalikies shortened to ankle length.
Emo- i love a spontaneous night out like that, early to bed for you this ev me thinks. Did u spot any celebs in the bar????

blossoming · 25/03/2011 16:24

Mumsnet need to organise a new emoticon right away [houli-envy].

The way I'm spending it will be next year by the time I get a pair.

Thanks roary. A bit daunting, as I really like walking about, checking work etc when teaching. But it is the way forward for 6th formers it seems. All schools with 6 form have to offer 30 subjects for A level. So this is the only way! Glad I was in the right way at the right time!

ReineDeSaba · 25/03/2011 16:50

fritzi what a perfect day..looking forwrds to a houli piccie.

emo almost there now.

had a fab result..at nursery pick up another mum offered a playdate for DD1 so have baked blondies and nutella brownies and now going to start on abo's hungry caterpillar cake..if you're around abo what cake did you use..just wondering if fondant will sit okay on vic sponge.

annie will you do links of successful purchases.

will try the flares tomorrow..just worried about running around in wedges..I had ordered this to wear actually which I love love love because of the print But it is a bit shapeless without belt and worried that I will get a telling off from bloss re-colour

any tips ladies for reducing creases in leather.

pickled I think my 'energy' at MOAM was fuelled by excitement and booze Blush

OWW oh dear!

ooooh sparkly..
