Carciofi - Love that quote from your DD!
And talking of DDs... If I am absent from the thread for some time it may be because of some indepth interviewing by social services....
DD brought her 'jotter' home from school today to show me, and very proudly read out the 'entries.' There was some stuff about her going to hospital, having lunch in a cafe, doing gymnastics etc.....and then one which read (slightly more phonetically than this...) 'I was eating breakfast. I dropped my cereal everywhere. Mummy SHOUTED. She sent me to the room. The dark room. I was scared. The end.'
'I have never sent you to a dark room' I spluttered. 'Oh, I know,' she replied airily. 'But the real story about dropping the cereal and you getting cross was a bit boring, so I thought I would make much more exciting.'
