just a quick dash in to say so far, the new job is fabulous. I had an awful pic taken though in which I look twice my age AND like my mother, it was with no flash in a dark room with no preparation and no ability to delete- prompting my colleagues to say 'so, are your kids all grown up?' Shock Shock Shock so I am officially in 'eeugh that's the new girl? yucky!' territory Grin

no avidness, lots of agro re childcare and peculiar commuting routes- nose still wrecked, blablabla..

you are all making me NEED a raspberry (best colour ever) trench and houlihans.. back soon!

Vin, glad your job is going well. Sorry about your nose and childcare woes though.

Annie, I like them a lot and was thinking of buying them. I'm a big Current/Elliott fan.

Does anyone have a Goat cardigan? Really like this navy cardigan but think I should probably be sensible and find a cheaper alternative.

notyummy · 24/03/2011 08:27

Good to hear from you Vin. I am sure the picture is nowhere near as bad as you think, although I also hate the work 'head shots'!

Annie - the Captains do look nice, although yes, fairly £££ for cargos....however if the quality feels amazig and you are going to wear them all summer then why not?

Marsha - Have just spotted that there is a 20% discount code in Grazia but don't actually have the copy with me! May be worth a peek though?!

Another gorgeous day here, although there was frost on the car this morning. Off to a big meeting, so looking formal in grey pin striped wide legged trouser suit with light blue silk Jigsaw top and heeled brogues.

I have spotted some things in Top Shop that I like the look of, including the elusive 3 inch clog/wedges I am looking for:

these

these

I also saw a nice long skirt in the press that isn't on the site. I have a meeting in London next week and may have to extend my stay by an hour for a quick TS visit!!

notyummy · 24/03/2011 08:42

Carried on looking at the Top Shop site and found these 'interesting' trousers. Not sure who is going to be able to carry them off...?

roary · 24/03/2011 09:58

Congratulations Exhausted - that's great news. I thought for a while I would have to retake the test here to change my license and took some lessons and was horrified at the prospect of the test, so I'm glad I didn't in the end!

Carciofi thanks for the tip - have phoned Boden and discount applied!

Bloss, Carciofi and other avid Ebayers: I have a ton of questions about ebaying, if I started a How to Ebay thread would you come join me? I missed the tutorial at MOAMU along with debobbling :)

NY did you keep the lovely stripey dress?

roary · 24/03/2011 09:58

NY those trousers and I are meant for each other. You can keep your HOulihans, ladies, I'm in love Grin

carciofi · 24/03/2011 10:03

Roary, yes, of course I will join you! Boden customer services are very good, I think.

Bloss that Boden t-shirt that OWW linked to yesterday is on sale today. I ordered leggings for the baby. Nada for me. :)

blossoming · 24/03/2011 10:03

Definitely roary, start one up.

I am so Angry. All my sales yesterday have been wiped out because I got caught speeding on my way home from MOAMU Sunday. And letter was addressed to DH so he knows all about it.
I am further away from houlihans than I was this time yesterday.
But I have bought the Boden top to make myself feel better.

ny, prefer the first shoes.

blossoming · 24/03/2011 10:04

carciofi, I bought it early this morning before it was on sale Angry. Should I just go back to bed?

carciofi · 24/03/2011 10:09

Ah no, that's so annoying. Phone Boden. :)

carciofi · 24/03/2011 10:10

NY, I also prefer the first pair.

roary · 24/03/2011 10:10

Bloss poor you! SPeeding tickets (I have only ever had one) fill me with horrible guilt too. DH was very judgmental when I got mine. But then we were on hols in Australia and they do a double points, double fine on holidays. DH was driving VERY FAST and ended up with a $750 fine (!!!!). He was going 110 in an 80 zone, to be fair the trap was right after the limit had changed, but I can now rest easy that any of my traffic incidents will pale in comparison!

Call BOden, Bloss, it worked for me. Which top is it?

I will start Ebay thread now :)

Okay, all is well. When I checked, I had had the discount, and a sneaky extra 15% off with ST15 (from Sunday Times). It is this one. Would be great with your houlihans exhausted. I think they're amazing and you have great legs for them. I also like the top you're wearing with them. I am sitting here in my Gap not-a-likies. Grr!!

Off to find your ebay thread roary.

AntPants1 · 24/03/2011 10:23

exhausted you look amazing!

roary · 24/03/2011 10:31

Exhausted can you add me so I can see the Houlihans?

ApuskiDusky · 24/03/2011 11:04

Exhausted, the Houli's look fab on you - and well done on the driving test!

Bloss, grr on the ticket. I have now put 5 things on ebay, 2 things not started yet. Roary, I'm on my way over to your thread in the hope of picking up tips too!

Carciofi, yes to Goat cardigans - I have two. The cotton ones are quite heavy. I've barely worn the cotton one I have, but I've seen a couple on ebay that look out of shape, so I'm not completely convinced. My wool one is lovely though. I got both of mine on MW sales for less than £100 each time.

Ty for the shoes feedback- agree that first a bit less clunky. Will see what they look like on!

Roary- I did keep the stripey dress and it got it's debut at work last week (only days after I promised on this thread not to buy any more dresses... Blush.

Bloss- grr on the ticket. I am a serial offender, although currently only 3 points on license. It used to be a lot worse. In my defence, I stick to limits in built up areas/schools etc. All mine are for doing 83 mph on the motorway (fgs) or something similar....

blossoming · 24/03/2011 12:21

Oops, I was rushing past my Mil's house, as quick as I could!

That's what I get for complaining about her.
DH said, 'how ironic'. Without smiling.
