Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
carciofi · 22/03/2011 20:01

Yes, I have one. They do them every spring. I have a little thing for hats as well as scarves.

Fritzi, over breton and leopard print scarves! Shock I am not looking for anything in particular in the Outnet sale, just an amazing bargain!

carciofi · 22/03/2011 20:02

Fritzi, you could also try shopbop.com

Well done on the job offer Marsha - you sound very excited. Thats great about all the schools signing up too Bloss.
Carciofi - keep us posted about the house by the sea - sounds wonderful.
Verity - loved all of your Mango links esp the dress with pockets. I am inspired to go and find it when next shopping.
NY - isn't that always the same - you have vouchers and can't spend them. Or like me, you forget you have a 50 pound Next gift card in your wallet and spend that exact amount and pay cash!
ABO - not sure about the apple clutch with the Mille - think maybe more of a classic style would be better? (tho the apple was very good at helping attract a taxi on Saturday evening Smile)!
Roary - sounded as if you felt really rough over the WE - glad you are better now.

It was interesting looking at all the houlihans on the Donna Ida site - the assistants at Triology were adamant about how tight they should fit but there seems to be a variety of tight/looser pics on DI and I think they look ok either way.

Its DS2's bday tomorrow so I now have to make a load of bright red icing with which to decorate a fire engine cake later (they will be bouncing off the walls with all the additives as I think I will will use a whoe bottle of food colouring to get a bright red!) Will be raiding the playmobil box for flashing lights and ladders to keep things easy. Have a nice day everyone.

Ooooh - lots and lots and lots of luck exhausted!

notyummy · 23/03/2011 08:19

Good luck Exhausted!

notyummy · 23/03/2011 08:52

Am excited! DH has booked us into this hotel for a romantic short break in the Easter holidays whilst my mum and dad have DD.

We are also going as a family to Brighton for a couple of days - anyone got any 'unmissable' things in Brighton for a 4 year old? I am thinking the beach and the pier obviously, plus the little railway. What else? Aquarium? I'd like to have a few good weather and wet weather options.

herecomesthsun · 23/03/2011 09:39

Hello not yummy, I would also be interested in knowing about activities for small children in Brighton, as I am planning to take DH and DS along with me in June.

I actually know much more about activities for small children in the vague vicinity of the hotel to which you linked but unfortunately that doesn't sound as much use ( Smile, have fun).

I am a bit of a lurker, but a low rent one I am afraid. I am sitting here with a pile of "biker shoes" around my feet. I think one of these may be my answer to the Agnes Belstaff which a) I never found in a manifestation sufficiently cheap that I could justify buying and b) had a heel that was slightly too high.

So low rent Agnes it is likely to be. The Footglove biker shoe. £45. I will, I think, wear them with a smile (I cannot find a linky, sorry, but then I suspect no one else here would really stoop that low Grin)

blossoming · 23/03/2011 10:13

Your apple clutch is classic ollie. Loved it!
All this talk of houlihans, honestly..
Another day spent rummaging for items to Ebay!

Best of luck in the test exhausted. You will be well dressed at least I'm sure!

ny's dh coming up trumps again!

All styles and budgets catered for here herecomesthesun, even if we all aspire to the real thing! Stick around!

Emo76 · 23/03/2011 10:25

Zipping in quickly to say BIG CONGRATS marsha and GOOD LUCK exhausted

Why are Houlihans sooooo expensive? I quite liked them when I tried but really cannot justify. Didn't someone on here buy from the US recently?

herecomesthesun welcome welcome and finding bargainous alternatives is not low rent but WISE and AVID!

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2011 10:53

Thank you Smile

Am trying to juggle start date and nanny start date which is later. Nightmare.

Will see what happens today....

herecomesthsun · 23/03/2011 10:54

wannabes

Agnes - mind you, might have gone for Agnes at £102 if ever I found her for that!

blossoming · 23/03/2011 11:08

mrscb has those Agnes, they're really nice.

exhausted, what colour is sharkskin? Is it grey? (whistling nonchalantly)

herecomesthsun · 23/03/2011 11:17

Oh and congrats Marsha! I work in a job which used to be like that - you could be consulted from off the premises because it was your expert opinion that mattered - but things have changed a bit these days! (wonders if in wrong profession)

carciofi · 23/03/2011 11:37

Emo, yes, I ordered Houlihans from Revolve. They came to about £90 including customs.

Bloss I am about to list my black DVF. Thinking of going all out on the saving front for a Burberry.

Herecomesthesun, nice shoes.

What a nice day. I am wearing leopard sandals (catch of the day!), Seraphine "skinny" jeans and black IO tank. We are off to buy shoes now (for dd, not me).

Enjoy the sun.

carciofi · 23/03/2011 11:39

Oh and Exhausted, hope you passed.

blossoming · 23/03/2011 11:50

Is it the 3/4 sleeve Julian carciofi? I wonder how much you'll get for it.
Sunny here too. Nice change!

Congratulations Exhausted - that is great news! Thanks very much for the link - very helpful.

blossoming · 23/03/2011 12:21

Excellent news exhausted!
I am driving myself insane with my constant need to buy more J brands. But on a wise note, living in Wales, I am in jeans for most of the year.
See how I get on listing items in the next 2 hours while dd sleeps.

OllieWollieWoo · 23/03/2011 12:44

Thats great exhausted well done you - bet you feel on top of the world!

Question - I've been looking for a new tan handbag and couldn't see any I liked in London. Boden has this one here with 20% (and I get another 10% off that I think) off today - the reviews are not great saying the strap is not long enough but I would use mine as an under the arm bag iykwim. Has anyone seen it in RL and liked it? From the pics with the model it doesnt seem as fat as some satchel bags.

I like this one here in tan but think it would swamp me - its huge!

I wish I'd had a look at the Mulberry Tillie tote here in RL - would help me gain perspective on other bags I think! You don't really hear much about Tillie's compared to some other Mulberry bags tho?

here
