Ooh, lovely ABO, I saw the Milly on MW a while back and thought it looked good, but it looks great on you!

I am sooo tired, minimal sleep last night with ds2, and he's been hard work today as well. Poor ds1 hasn't had much attention. Putting them to bed now, then I plan to follow them asap.

ApuskiDusky · 21/03/2011 18:55

YY Tibi fab on you, really suits your figure.

ReineDeSaba · 21/03/2011 18:56

bloss I was having visions of you going into a Chanel store and explaining to a snooty assistant that you used GHD's on it! Grin

Abo thanks I can see your profile again..I am going to have a bash at the caterpillar cake for dd2's 1st birthday..your great version has inspired me.

I have to say I'm not completely sold on the Tibi..I love the colour on you,I love draping but that particular style is just a little too toga for me and frankly with your figure I think full on bodycon is the way to go Wink but I'm sure wiser A and Wers will give you more solid advice.

ReineDeSaba · 21/03/2011 19:02

Such a slow typist..obviously only me with Grecian (dress)issues Confused but love the Milly and irresistable Choos ABO

AllBuggiedOut · 21/03/2011 19:07

Ooh I love my stair carpet exhausted Grin Think MrsCB is a Brintons fan too...

Thanks for the comments; can the Milly can be made sufficiently evening do you ladies think? Red shoes?

ReineDeSaba · 21/03/2011 19:11

AP sorry Ds not his usual self.

Emo76 · 21/03/2011 19:36

abo I'd love to see your photos if possible

apuski sounds like a hot bath is in order!

fritzi am inspired by your lovely lipsy fake fur jacket and considering an investment as have wedding to go to in N England in a fortnight and I want to be warm!

off to peel potatoes for dinner, DH cooking which is a mixed blessing given the amount of washing up/tidying there will be afterwards Wink

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 19:42

reine I'm as much in love with Zembo's clutch handbag as you are with choo's raspberry trench Grin.

abo The colour of the Tibi is gorgeous and the dress more suitable for evening than the Milly. However, I am a bit worried how that drapey bit might look from the side. If you are happy with it then go for the Tibi and add fab shoes!

I am still obsessing about the Houlis. After all the positive comments I have started to appreciate my legs a bit more than before. I am deliberating about the colour: marine or faded navy. Exhausted you decided on sharkskin in the end, right? What is the colour you are wearing on your profile?

apuski Hope you get a good night's sleep!

notyummy · 21/03/2011 19:45

Fritzi - I think I prefere the faded navy.

ABO - those shoes you are wearing look fab!

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 19:45

emo I got the fake fur from Asos a while ago but cannot find it on the website anymore. Other styles here. What kind of dress are you wearing?

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 19:53

Kildare and ollie I think the ladies at Trilogy would say that lady here needs at least three sizes smaller in those cargos Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 19:54

Sorry, WIT lady in cargos here

Emo76 · 21/03/2011 20:06

fritzi think I will wear my raspberry dress as seen on my photo! Had a quick hunt on Lipsy's own website and alas it isn't there either. Will hunt through the ASOS ones -there's one in the sale which is a possibility but doesn't look as special as yours did!

tried some houlis on once, they didn't look bad but I just could not bring myself to pay up for them. I can see what people mean about the pockets on them though - somehow they are so much more flattering than other skinny cargos I have tried. Would like some new jeans but the only ones I find which suit are indigo dye and I refuse to buy another pair of indigo jeans as my GAP ones are giving me enough trouble with dye transfer.

good news cooks - it's jacket potatoes and not potatoes to peel with dinner this eve!

mrsjuan · 21/03/2011 20:24

ABO - Love both of those dresses on you - tibi much better for evening IMO. You have a beautiful house as well!

Fritzi - you definitely have wonderful legs for the houlis. I like the faded navy. Can you try the site carciofi linked to a while ago?

Emo good news about the potatoes, hope you find a jacket. Fritzi looked like a film star in in hers

Apuski Sorry that DS is still unwell. Hope he has a restful night. My DD is still not right either - a succession of revolting explosive nappies all day - lovely Hmm

Emo76 · 21/03/2011 20:24

is it wise to wear white false fur coat to a wedding? I wouldn't wear white to a wedding but over a bright dress? I guess it isn't otherwise I wouldn't think to ask however ASOS have a lipsy one in the sale which fits the bill.

AllBuggiedOut · 21/03/2011 20:29

emo you should be able to see now.

I have decided that houlis are to be admired from afar. I love them on others, and want to love them on me, but in reality they make me look short and dumpy. I would like to find some skinny cargos with flat stitching detail - so that the thigh area is broken up visually but no bulk is added. Asos did a pair last year (vin was it you who had them too?) and they looked fab although were crap quality and went baggy really quickly.

notyumm the choos were fab, but I couldn't walk in them, let alone dance! Would it be wrong, for my party, to have a ludicrous pair for meet and greet/dinner, and then a comfy pair to chage into for dancing?!

I know what you mean about the Tibi fritzi. From behind is definitely its best angle!

reine the caterpillar cake was so easy you should definitely have do it!

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 20:32

mrsjuan That is very kind, thanks! Credits for fake fur go to LTEC because she found it for me Smile. Sorry you had to deal with explosive nappies today. Hope things will calm down tomorrow.

I really should go to bed or get things organized to go to early morning yoga class tomorrow morning. Instead I'm lounging on sofa with chocolates and have sent DH to pour some Wine. Oh dear...

MarshaBrady · 21/03/2011 20:35

ABO I can only see one dress but it looks great! (circle belt thing).

Spent all day yesterday preparing for interview with fuzzy head. Up very early. Was great to do it, but after all that not sure is right for me.

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 20:36

abo Super high heels plus flats are definitely better than boring midi-heels I think.

loobylu3 · 21/03/2011 20:38

It was lovely to meet so many of you the other night!
Everyone looked lovely and was friendly and interesting to talk to. There wasn't enough time to catch up with quite a few of you properly- perhaps next time! :)

zembo- thanks a lot for the compliment. I think it was the dress not me! Did your husband like Bristol? Hope he has a bit more luck this time. I met up with a couple of friends whilst in London and it is really tough at the moment.
By the way, you don't look more than 30 and that applied to several other ladies!

fleecy-It was a Ted Baker dress that I was wearing. I had linked to it before and it had a kind of mixed reception. Here it is: dress
I loved your red dress too- was it a VWA or am I confused?

So sorry that verity and roary couldn't make it at the last minute.
Hope DS2 has a better night, apuski.
ollie- hope you are fully recovered after your dodgy drink!

ABO- I think the Tibi fits you perfectly. I love the dark green on you. I kind of agree with reine on the draping at the front but that it totally a matter of personal taste. The Milly is lovely too but probably doesn't show off your figure as much.

fritzi- I prefer the marine colour houlis. You are so slender- I bet they look great on you! I was hoping to try on the Uniqlo skinny cargos but didn't get round to it in the end!
I found the whole Oxford Street on a Saturday thing far too stressful. On the Sunday, I was around Sloane Square and it was lovely by comparison. I'm sure that's not much of a revelation to all you London ladies but I haven't been shopping in town for goodness knows how long!

AntPants1 · 21/03/2011 20:41

ABO love the tibi. I think you while look for gold or sliver high heals to go with. And definately high not kitten. LK Bennet? Will have a look.

Oh and I mentioned a poss west field meet for those in London? Could anyone do next Friday morning?

FritziGreenEyes · 21/03/2011 20:44

looby Thanks, DH voted for marine too. Will collect some more opinions. That dress was absolutely va-va-voom on you and I honestly think suited you better than the model on the Asos website.

AntPants1 · 21/03/2011 20:44

Thinking of something like these ABO

www.lkbennett.com/outlet/courts/30273GOLD
