Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
pickledsiblings · 17/03/2011 08:50

Morning All Smile

MrsJ- keep calm, all will be fine.

Zembo I like the idea of chilling out and eating lunch somewhere nice so would be up for joining you.

I have been sooo busy this week(forgot to eat lunch yesterday) and had too little sleep that I will be joining the acne brigade in the corner.

Carcofi - I can remember totally panicking about who would look after DD when I went in to have DS. It all worked out in the end and a lovely neighbour slept on our sofa whilst she stayed asleep in bed.

pickledsiblings · 17/03/2011 08:52

Forgot to say Happy St Patrick's.

mrsjuan · 17/03/2011 09:16

A very Happy St Patrick's day to all

Envy
Envy Envy
Wine

that is my poor attempt at a shamrock!

Hooray! Hotel is sorted - nearly cried with gratitude on the phone - so Pickled, we are back on & Zembo still has a spare bed - so sorry for all the stress and confusion!

I am up for food with Zembo and anyone else - please come Vin.

Toddlers today - wearing ubiquitous skinnies and breton. Was irrationally pleased the other week when DD was 'on trend' with the other toddlers wearing shorts and tights with a stripy top Blush. She has got a red checked shirt and (soft) skinnies on today - looks so cute!

notyummy · 17/03/2011 09:28

I had to scurry off to check my hotel booking on hearing Mrsjs tale of woe! It def says two queen sized beds, so I am going to leave it at that and kick off majorly (but politely...) at the check in if there are any issues [scary woman emoticon].

I am arriving a bit late for lunch, but once checked in I may venture out of for a potter around the shops. I have vouchers to spend...am studiously trying to avoid spending anything else though!! I particularly need to stay away from Space NK or anywhere similar as I am like a woman possessed in there. 'Slimmer thighs you say? Less wrinkles? Of course I will have it....' Plus we have rebooked to go to Geneva in a couple of weeks and I fully expect to invest in beauty products at the duty free, so really shouldn't be buying anything until then.

pickledsiblings · 17/03/2011 09:39

Hurrah MrsJ! Great shamrock Grin. Yes Vin, please do come, it would be lovely to see you. I remember when my DD was that age MrsJ, she's nearly 10 now (but still wears shorts, tights and stripey top).

NY, glad you've rebooked your Geneva trip.

That is terrible about the missing shamrock! Happy St Patrick's Day carciofi, verity, pickled, Kildare, rufus. (Any Irish lurkers!)
Someone needs to have a word with MN Towers!

Thank you for the kind offer exhausted. I've never seen the green one in store.

Getting slightly panicked about the work I have to do before Saturday. MIL is coming over but I still need to prepare all meals beforehand, do the shopping, washing (think Thelma in Thelma & Louise)!

Feel free to rant carciofi. I love a good MIL rant!!

notyummy · 17/03/2011 10:31

But Bloss - Thelma got to have a LOT of fun with a young Brad Pitt.....every cloud has a silver lining Grin

blossoming · 17/03/2011 10:42

Yes, the similarities end after the first 5 minutes of the film notyummy. Well let's hope so anyway!
Just remembered how much I loved that film when it came out.
Also remembered that my favourite film ever is 'Before Sunrise' Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke. The sequel 'Before Sunset' is on tonight I think.

I would be a 12 I think exhausted, thank you.

carciofi · 17/03/2011 11:07

Thanks, I guess we will work it out.

Cool shamrock, MrsJ!

I loved that film too, Bloss.

Just ordered these jeans www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?product=JBRA-WJ402&c=&referrerURL=%2FBrands.jsp%3Fsearch%3Dcardinal& for summer. I have them in another colour and they are nice on but tight! I should cut down on my cake intake in preparation. Smile

carciofi · 17/03/2011 11:08

Ooop, these

blossoming · 17/03/2011 11:11

Are you getting them in red carciofi?

Has anyone tried on this Phase 8 dress? I keep looking at it and thinking it is a very good shape and colour for me. And now it's in the sale with plenty of stock. Hopefully it will be in store so I can try it on Saturday. I think it was mentioned on the summer school run thread too.

blossoming · 17/03/2011 11:18

Still going through the Phase 8 site. Nothing comes close to the stripey janice does it?
Although my trench coat last year was from P8, in royal blue, and I loved it. This year they have it in stone, down from £120 to £60 here.

carciofi · 17/03/2011 12:41

Yes, in red. Lovely P8 dress.

Those shoes are beautiful, Verity.

notyummy · 17/03/2011 13:02

Apuski - meant to say, am v jealous of your jeans order as have been eyeing up the Marrakesh. can you remind me of your size/shape as I am not sure if they would suit me. I am 5 10, large 10 on bottom, small on top (a pear, fairly obviously!)Can't remember who my shape 'twins' are on this threa....possibly Whelk?

carciofi · 17/03/2011 13:03

Had second thoughts and cancelled the red jeans.

I have this Coach trench and thinking of selling it, what do you think? Is it too pink?

My motto is, if it's not fitting my capsule wardrobe it gets listed but at a sensible opening price carciofi.
I have just bought 'Azione Gramatica'! I'm being good and revising my Italian as dd sleeps!

Zembo · 17/03/2011 13:45

Bloss I like the P8 dress. Shame stripey Janice did nothing for me, strange as really love navy Janice.

Pickled and MrsJ I won't be in London until about 3pm so was thinking of having a very very late lunch/early tea to get me through the night. Will PM you both in case you're still keen. I have to think about eating as I won't be drinking anything and will be starving otherwise.

I bought the Top Shop flares - I really like them, may well bring for the weekend although I haven't got sufficiently high wedges to wear with them, so will have to be shoeboots.

Fleecy I did Grin at the eyebrow comment from your DH. My DH is completely oblivious to all things S&B, it does have many advantages Grin

Carciofi I think my new trench is a lot more pink (i.e bright fuschia!)- does that colour suit you?

redllamayellowllama · 17/03/2011 13:48

Just a quick note for Looby, am wearing my Yarras with JBrand Lovestorys today and hey definitely work. Incidentally, for anyone after e 70's jeans look without them being too high-waisted, the Lovestorys are perfect. Wearing with [[http://www.frenchconnection.com/product/Woman+Collections+Tops/76MZU/Renoir+Jersey+Cowel+Neck+Top.htm this coral top] with hair very curly. Peace and love all round.

Am getting vicariously excited by all of your MOAMU plans!

notyummy · 17/03/2011 13:49

Zembo- you are so right! Whilst it is nice to have an observant DH, I can never slip a single purchase under the radar.... Hmm
