Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
mrsjuan · 16/03/2011 22:11

OWW - your coat will be fine - think you will need it rather than a cardi esp. if NY is leading us on a route march on the way home Wink. I think I will have to wear my wool coat too.

Vin Sad that P is being a bastard again and that your nose is still bad - hope the specialist is helpful

Marsha have you packed your light level monitor yet? I'm sure your hair looks great.

Fleecy · 16/03/2011 22:13

You can have a good look oww Grin I rather like them - they look like naturally long, dark lashes. Which my own ones are not!

I love it when people have honeymoon babies, so lovely.

Two coats you say... Maybe if I don't take loads of stuff then I could do that. Anyhoo, more importantly, if you can afford them and you'll wear them then keep them both. Simple!

Next week - that's exciting. Will be thinking of you.

vinestein · 16/03/2011 22:17

sorry I'm being all grumpy Smile I can't make MOAMU I'm afraid, I just have nobody to look after DS Sad but but but I was thinking if by some miracle I can get free in the day over the weekend, it would be fab to meet some of you- and I want lots and lots of pictures please!

notyummy · 16/03/2011 22:19

DD was concieved on our wedding night Shock ..... and we weren't even wanting to try at that point! But we decided that someone somewhere was trying to give us a message....

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 22:20

hee hee MrsJ I have squinted at the web pics and think it looks dark indeed Grin

It will have to be, as my outfit and hair are a bit clashy. (due to general tightness re buying a new belt)

I'm not sure I'm going to get round to putting a pic up pre-meet as it's all washing and upset children here. I will try, but each time I think I will do it I am reminded of a dating agency! But just in case you all look for a GraceK look alike, I'm not. Funnily enough there is a picture in my parents' album of a distant relative who looks exactly like Grace Kelly. But I won't do what I did at 8 which is send a penpal a picture of my cousin cos she was prettier than me Grin

mrsjuan · 16/03/2011 22:20

Just bring DS with you Vin -I'd love to meet both of you Smile

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2011 22:25

Oh Vin your poor nose, hope they're able to do something tomorrow to stop the pain at least. Boo hiss to your P (again). I thought you were coming to MOAM, I've been looking forward to meeting you. Maybe next time Smile

Fleecy love the sound of your lashes!

MrsJ I know someone just like your collegue, says the most appalling things to people and can't understand why they would be offended Hmm I avoid her like the plague!

Fritzi I love the idea that there are women all over Europe (well, you and I at least) wearing inappropriate footwear with their pyjamas this week. I practiced in my Lanvins today. OUCH. They do look lovely though!

This coat issue is really bothering me! I had resolved to bring my big furry coat, but what if there is a mini heatwave in Monday. I will be the only person in London hoping that temps stay in single figures until I get home.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 22:28

Verity hello! What are you wearing to moamu?

I am taxi there and taxi back, I don't have a clutch and intend to travel light! Do we have a time yet? Will pm you ny

vinestein · 16/03/2011 22:33

Verity- I can see you on Monday! Grin no seriously, I probably can! I wish I could come to MOAM, if there's any way that at the last minute I can dash across and say hello, I definitely will Smile

You definitely need a coat in London at the moment, it's freeeezing! A trench coat-type thing might be a good compromise

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2011 22:35

Hi Marsha hope everyones on the mend in your house. I'm wearing a raspberry All Saints Lanvin-look-alike and attempting to wear these shoes I need to check my travel insurance first as I am worried about breaking my ankle in them! Did you get a pink belt yet?

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2011 22:38

Oh I would love that Vin Smile Or maybe you and ds could join our breton/skinny flashmob breakfast on Sunday!

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 22:38

Noo I know, I should. It's for one night, and I don't want a cheapo one but don't want to spend a lot for one night. So have managed to freeze in the face of the dilemma.

I did look in Zara quickly at the weekend but they didn't have one and I didn't really like the belts anyway. So pretty hopeless all round!

If I clash terribly you lovely people won't mind (in the dark), am sure!

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 22:41

Love the sound and look of the outfit Verity!

Vin I was really looking forward to meeting you too.

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2011 22:42

You won't be clashing, you'll be colour blocking Smile

notyummy · 16/03/2011 22:43

Marsha- timings should be in earlier massive PM. Let me know if you haven't got it!

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 22:46

Ah Sorry NY I have got it! It is right there.

Zembo · 17/03/2011 06:07

Love all the beautification that's going on Smile

Vin I would LOVE to meet you. Any chance you and your DS are free on Sat afternoon? I was thinking of grabbing a bite to eat at one of the Leon restaurants (or similar)- fancy joining me? My Sat afternoon plans are just to eat and chill out Grin Anyone else fancy it. I'm not up to traipsing around London, esp when it'll be busy, so will take the mega lazy option instead.

MrsJ are we definitely sharing the room?

mrsjuan · 17/03/2011 07:30

Morning all,

Zembo I'm going to phone the hotel again today and cry I think!
(anyone else who has booked a double room with twin beds might want to double check too as my request for twin beds for pickled & I hasn't been honoured at this moment in time (despite assurances from Expedia that it would when I booked).

When I phoned the other day they said they wouldn't be able to let me know until we checked in which is obviously a bit late.

So is it ok if I let you know later or does someone else need the room?

Emo76 · 17/03/2011 07:34

vin do you use the "Sitters" agency - they completely gave me my freedom back after DD1 - they'd sort you out a sitter and then you could come to MOAMU!

MrsJ that's so naughty of Expedia/the hotel.

notyummy a round of applause for organising

Went to the new Banana Republic on Kings Rd on way home - really disappointing -not sure why but all their stuff looks better on the net!

Loving hearing all your outfit plans ladies! Am so sorry I won't be with you.

I will let you know how I get on in Harvey Nics this morning, and whether I make it to Selfridges to try in Juliet

Happy St Patrick's day!

Everything, that is a good response.

Vin, sorry about your nose and annoying P, I am sure you are still gorgeous. I use Sitters, never had a problem and the babysitters are always lovely.

Well, Apuski, it is hard to find great jeans so maybe you should keep them both, and Exhausted, lovely though those ceramics are, what if the baby breaks them? A Gracie would be more durable. Wink

I am in a big temper as MIL has not responded to our request (of two weeks ago) to look after DD while I go into have DD2, we were going to pay for her flight over and put her up in a hotel as we have only 2 bedrooms. I told DH I would prefer to rely on my friend here or go to the hospital on my own leaving him with DD if we have to. I realise she is our responsability but this is the only time we have asked for help. She is a nice woman but has three daughters and other grandchildren so maybe is all grandmothered out. I feel better now I have ranted, skip over that bit if you like!
