annie- I was deliberating over whether or not to get that belt back in January. I didn't in the end but it is lovely!
Hope you enjoy your mini MOAM!

bloss- have PMd you back.

ApuskiDusky · 16/03/2011 13:20

Hello! Long, I am contemplating a trip to Selfridges in the afternoon- i cashed in my employee loyalty scheme points (before I lose them with the redundancy), so now have a stack of vouchers burning a hole in my pocket! Have also ordered a kindle with the rest.

I'll make a decision on my plans tomorrow (interview this afternoon, gulp!), and then see if that fits with anyone else!

ApuskiDusky · 16/03/2011 13:21

Long??? Meant Looby!

FritziGreenEyes · 16/03/2011 13:51

marsha pale pink chino alert at H&M!

I'm stressing about daytime outfits for London: my skinnies are so worn out I can't really wear them anymore and if I wear wide leg jeans I have to take another pair of shoes. Will it be too cold for Blochs??? Maybe my first stop should be Selfridges shoe dep to sort out footwear for spring.

I'll join bloss and fleecy in the taxi-only group. Have worn
new heels around the house which DD finds hilarious. Why are you wearing click-clack shoes with your PJs mummy???

They are nice Annie.

Can I also say that I walked past a huge Clarks in London yesterday and decided to pop in as the window loked interesting. There were lots of nice shoes (mainly wedges)....although there were the usual orthopedic type offenders too! There were a few that quite close resembled those Ash ones....for quite a lot less.

I have a tan wegde sandal from Clarks. Bought it three years ago and it looks great with dresses and wide-leg jeans, not orthopedic at all. In Germany, Clarks shoes are very popular with the lentil-weaver community Smile.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2011 15:09

Thanks Fritzi! Amazingly my Marant obsession has passed.. Which reminds me long ago when I really wanted something that was too much I would save it on a wish list on NAP and months later look at it and feel nothing. Would make me feel better about saving a couple hundred pounds.

Am in nurse mode here; everyone, bar me, is sick. They will be better by tomorrow!

Can't wait to see you all at meetup. I will try to get to the pre-drinks drinks as if i just show up to the venue I might not get a lot of time before I have to get my bus home! I'll make a plan with DH soon and it may be that I am in the vicinity of the shoppers in the late afternoon so will send some PMs. I'll be wearing my dress with flat shoes though as no outfit changes for me :) WIll put on the heels for the fancy bar.

Now, on a different note. OWW was fashion fairy and found me www.johnlewis.com/169069/Style.aspx this dress from John Lewis. I love it but i really need to belt it.

I am considering this belt and this belt

Thoughts?

Vin I saw this dress on the Ted Baker site and thought immediately of you: www.tedbaker.com/women%27s/tailoring_+_formal/list.aspx?choose%2bfrom=wtdrs--work+dresses the isaal dress in the bottom LH corner. Very like your expensive NAP number and the less expensive MandS!

No chance of me catching up properly with all the news but wanted to say vin I think the law job is probably the right choice, Carciofi love the bag and wish you were coming to MOAMU and everything sounds like your weekend was much happier.

roary · 16/03/2011 15:49

fritzi, I feel your pain. Everything looks wrong to me today. I have jeans, shoes, coat, will have swishy hair, but no tops. Why do I never have any tops?
Also it was sunny this afternoon. I hope I don't have to add warm weather to the mix.

blossoming · 16/03/2011 16:07

Anyone thinking of wearing the stripy janice during the weekend?

OllieWollieWoo · 16/03/2011 17:04

I'm the same with tops Blossoming! May have to wear coat to breakfast! In fact, I was in H&M today and they had 50% off coats - almost brought the cropped cotton jacket in navy last one second page to wear as I think I'll be too hot in my woollen one! Would look good with breton showing beneath it and only 17 euros.

Roary really pleased you liked the dress in the end. I like both belts! Yes, yes, yes to coming to hotel - just follow the glare my sparkly apple clutch gives off and you'll find where we all are! You are welcome to use the room Fritzi and I have to change if you would like to (if thats ok with you of course Fritzi?)

mrsjuan · 16/03/2011 18:06

Rushing in to say I am so, so excited about the weekend but I am having similar crises to everyone else in that I don't know what to do about coats, I have no tops and more importantly my asos dress hasn't arrived Shock so barring a miracle I will probably be wearing the Warehouse dress I linked to the other day which has received good reports from DH and my best friend but that means nothing!

Also, to further dent my confidence about meeting all you beautiful people, someone at work asked me today if I was overweight! I realise I am not the skinniest person in the world, but really, is that a question any sentient woman asks??

Thanks for the pm NY

Phase Eight have reduced the stripey Janice. And if you apply code P8JTW at checkout, you get another 20% off.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/03/2011 18:21

roary Sure and you can get debobbled and babyblissed too Grin. I'm taking it with me in case I can't get my hair done at a salon.

how rude MrsJ Take no notice. I am working on the assumption that it is very easy to build people up into mystical beings of loveliness (or conversely, to form impressions of shrewish bitter haggishness) on an online forum and that the reality is more likely to be lots of normal, nice people. With so much personality and sparkle to light up the room anyway, who cares how attractive any of us really are?

blossoming · 16/03/2011 19:03

Thanks keepcalm, I like your updates!
Going to check out your link now exhausted.
That was very rude mrsjuan, how dare she?
marsha, hope health improves soon and you don't get it.
ollie, and everyone in general, how can we, on this thread have nothing to wear?
