Is it just me that hears the title to this thread as Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer?!

DS3 poorly with a temperature this morning, which means rather scuppers my plans for swimming followed my a mooch around the shops with a friend. Maybe Mr DHL will arrive with the Tibi to cheer me up! Thanks oww Smile

Beautiful clutch choo. I don't usually "get" handbags but that one I love.

exhausted glad your shopping was productive, even if not in the way you'd hoped it would be! It is my mission this year to learn better what suits me and what doesn't, so I can stop coveting things that are Just Wrong and stop trying on hundreds of things in the shops. It's what impressed me most with the personal shopper in Selfridges; that we didn't have to wade through masses of stuff, just tired on a few that were good in shape and colour.

oww re e-bay, my buyers have always paid immediately. I researched when was the best time to end auctions (Saturday night apparently) and I post on Mondays. Gives me Sunday to get stuff packaged up. I always think it looks better if you can promise to dispatch quickly.

OllieWollieWoo · 15/03/2011 08:32

I'm having MOAMU coat-related stress! I get really hot walking around the shops so will wear my (fake) Pure jacket or beige cotton coat thingy I have - but both will look rubbish with evening outfit tho. The 'going out' jacket I own has 3/4 sleeves which will look silly with long sleeves of dress. (I'm giving all this way too much thought.....)

Off to clear out bookshelves now!

FritziGreenEyes · 15/03/2011 09:12

bloss I haven't decided on which jacket to take. Probably my leather jacket but not sure if it works with my dress or if I take my fake fur Lipsy for evening. Honestly, I didn't stress so much about my wedding outfit Smile

Londoners, do you think I can get blowdry in the Marylebone area on Sat morning without pre-booking? Have an appointment to get my eyebrows done at Vaishaly in the afternoon and maybe coffee with a friend. Don't want to rush from one place to another.

Has anyo e checked yet if we can leave luggage at the hotel before check-in. Might call them later to find out.

notyummy · 15/03/2011 09:29

Fritzi most hotels let you leave luggage if you have a room that evening so hopefully you will be fine.

Will be PMing the meet upers tomorrow at some point with further details!

On the train to London wearing new stripey dress, Opaques and courts- plus black belted trench. Miserable weather! Went out for a shortish run at 630 this morning before setting off, and remembered just how much I hate running at that time. I am used to being up and about then - just not forcing my body into vigorous activity!

blossoming · 15/03/2011 09:53

Okay fritzi, I need to wear a coat for evening so it'll be the Pure jacket and change of outfit from Bec. I haven't got a cover up that works with it, and it's just too cold right now. I'll keep it for a summer meet up! You are so going to have fab eyebrows!

Emo76 · 15/03/2011 10:04

this is so exciting and in stark contrast to the horrible stock market today!

I am now a definite for the MOAMU and hopefully not a crushing disappointment in RL. Looking fwd to meeting you lovely lot!

Wearing black theory trousers and lovely Warehouse cream ruffly sheer blouse today, now finding work wear easier than "going out" wear. Panic trying on session this eve!

olly how are the brows?

fritzi there's a blow dry / hairdressers in Selfrdiges, def try to book as it's a Sat

CHOOGIRL · 15/03/2011 10:37

Have given into temptation and Zembo coat now ordered from NAP.

Am declaring March a budget free month Smile

madammecholet · 15/03/2011 10:40

bouncingblueberries It was me that linked the bag you linked to on page 4. I have it, tis ver ver gorgeous, and I use it for work, takes my laptop fine..

Used it since Sept last year and it still looks as good as the day I bought it... I do find I am stroking the calf hair when stood in queues though...Blush

blossoming · 15/03/2011 10:56

Great news emo.
choo, a definite contender for 'wardrobe of the year award'!
Hope you're having a better day today exhausted.

carciofi · 15/03/2011 11:19

Wow, Choo, you have a fab wardrobe!

Bloss, can you wear your M&S coat on Sat evening?

Bag arrived and is lovely and also just received the Houlihans so will attempt to try them on (ha ha). I feel a bit guilty for buying the bag (an unusual feeling) as could almost have bought a Phil and Tedds but I used birthday money and I am sure I'll get over it the fleeting guilt. Grin

Zembo, it is my dh's birthday on Sat so not going to MOAMU. Hope you all have a great time. I am enjoying hearing about your outfits.

We are off to a birthday party, I look like a fat Emmanuelle Alt in skinny black jeans and Bloss's lovely Formes top.

carciofi · 15/03/2011 11:20

Madamecholet, lol at stroking your bag in a queue!

blossoming · 15/03/2011 11:26

I'm sure you look fabulous carciofi. And I bought that top in Paris you know Wink.

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/03/2011 11:52

Carciofi - is the bag really lovely?? I still need to ebay more stuff including phil n teds which I hardly ever used (such a waste) so I can buy it Smile

OllieWollieWoo · 15/03/2011 12:07

Great buys Choo esp the Bec - fab colour.

Just rang hotel and was told "of course we have" when I asked about a left luggage facility (felt like a real country bumpkin!)

Looked at their website about the best way to get from Gatwick and it states that the LivingWell Health Club will be closed due to refurbishment. I'm guessing this includes the pool? Shame.

carciofi · 15/03/2011 12:15

MrsCB, yes, you must get it! Soft leather, and the chain strap and pleat detailing is really nice.

Bloss, oooh la la!

pickledsiblings · 15/03/2011 12:58

Aw Carcofi, shame you can't come to MOAM. Glad you're loving your new bag. What happened to the pink AH bag that you liked? Did you decide against it? Do be careful trying on those Houlihans Grin.

OWW, what a shame about the pool

NY, your outfit today sounds fab

Zembo · 15/03/2011 12:59

Carciofi such a shame you won't be there either. We must plan another meet up for the summer! So glad you like your bag, I'd love it too! I've spent a lot this month too..haven't told DH yet but I bought a python skin clutch

Emo76 · 15/03/2011 13:28

NEWSFLASH went to Tods for pretty flat shoe porn at lunchtime and they have those ballerinas with ribbons which bonsoir mentioned ages ago - very pretty but I can't justify at £270 when I couldn't wear to work.. or could I?! Anyone due an expensive treat or loaded should definitely get some!! Must stick to my sale Blochs which are going well. TRANSMISSION ENDS.

pickledsiblings · 15/03/2011 13:30

Zembo, hurrah for the python skin clutch. We can compare clutches and see how convincing my faux one is Grin.

Zembo · 15/03/2011 13:47

Pickled Grin. Hoping mine is the real deal, bought it online from Kuati whom I've never heard of Hmm. Maybe some of you London ladies are familiar with it?

notyummy · 15/03/2011 13:50

Oh no OWW- bad news on the health club. I may ring them just to double check as I had planned to sit in the jacuzzi/sauna on Saturday PM to destress after a busy week. DH and I are double shredding together Saturday morning before I travel down.

Zembo · 15/03/2011 13:51

Actually just noticed there is a pic of my clutch on the home page if you hang around long enough for the picture to change a few times, it's the black one on page 3. I know my DH will hate it Grin. Anyway I bought the last one and am v pleased!

Zembo · 15/03/2011 13:54

NY your outfit today sounds lovely. I was just like you re: exercise in a previous life. Really hated missing my sessions and would go to all sorts of lengths to fit them in! Can't believe I don't do any now Blush. I'm determined to start again once I've healed.
