So your doing the 30 day shred! want to keep a logg?

Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

I am going to do Level 2 during the day today and a shortened version of 1 with DD who wants to exercise with Mum Smile

KickBoxing was much easier last night as I am working through the week as well so Smile at this thread.

Some nice motivation going on here, It is great.

I am giving up Fizzy drinks also, I use them for energy kicks but am getting back to natural ones.
I am going to reduce Bus journeys and walk/run/cycle.

Just finished Day 2.........am thinking of giving up exercise for Lent :o

Anon Lent starts today. Smile It will be a challenge for me to give up crisps and chocolate but i am ready to face it! I think it will really help the weight loss. My DC know not to offer me any too! Grin

There seems to be a lot of 'patient' evidence that my AD causes Weight Gain so I am going to make a concerted effort re Shred and Lent cut backs and if it still isn't shifting I am going back to the docs by the end of May.

So... a goal Smile

Okay, my stats are:

Height: 5'6"
Hips: 37.5"
Waist: 29"
Thighs: 22"
Weight: 9 stone.

Just weighed myself......rarely do so as I tend to go on how my clothes fit. I was aware that my straight leg jeans were fitting more like skinnies and now I know why. Somehow, I have gained an extra 5lbs. Which is probably 2.5lbs per thigh. It is almost certainly wine related so although I cannot give it up for the entire period of lent, I shall be refraining from drink Monday - Thursday :)

Day 8 done. I tried to push harder today and keep going which i did manage to do. I do struggle with the arm raises with side lunge. I can do the lunge but my arms don't coordinate well plus i tend to look down to keep an eye on my knees!

Hi guys - sorry been absent. Got a real bashing on another thread so ben a bit off-MN the last couple of days.

I've hurt my bloody knee. Still shredding but trying to keep it low impact.

I'm giving up chocolate for lent it is going to kill me

Healthy snacks, I'm trying to make sure I'm eating more fruit and veg, 2 portions of oily fish a week and having muller light yoghurt and a few nuts/dried fruits. If I have a craving for a cholate biscuit etc I drink a glass of water, wait ten minutes, if I still want one I have a piece of fruit wait another ten minutes and usually I don't have one six, but if I still fancy it after my aversion techniques, I have one.

Found it ok actually so looking forward to level 2 tomorrow but dreading it too

lent starts today!! ok will give up crips and choclate.

Havent found my abs hurting at all in all the 10 days!!! maybe they will be put through their paces in level 2

catinboots - I saw your thread and thought the name was familiar, you got a really hard time imo rather unfairly.

Day 6 done today, is anyone else finding it a bit repetative ? I'm not ready to move up to level 2 as the cardio is hurting my knees but I would welcome a bit of variety.

I have had a really horrid day at work today.
I have spent most of the day in tears, as not really enjoying my new class atm, and am struggling to settle into a new team, so I'm not going to start it today.
I know that is a lame excuse, but i have a pounding head from all the crying so will start tomoz

oh silver - that's not a silly excuse. A bad day at work is horrid!

I'm so pissed off my right knee is agony. It was bad at the weekend, then felt better. I knely down today and BAM it's agony again.

I've never had a knee problem in my life Sad

Going to PT still and just doing arms and abs (ouch)

Aww Silver... agree here, maybe it is a night for 'comfort' and get a little more focussed when you feel better.

I did Level 2 and really liked it. have drunk 2 pints of water though which is no bad thing.

Hi everyone,

seeing people have knee problems, I dont suffer from bad knees but sometimes do feel there weak and know id do damage if i dont warm them up properly.

I think the warm up on the dvd is not enough so before i even put the dvd on i warm up myself, concentrating on my knees, hips and ankles alot, plus do jillians warm up.

Going to do level 2 today!!!

Went to the inlaws yesterday, and my partners uncle was there, i have recently started smoking again, since November, and am pretty sure he was suggesting my weight loss was due to my smoking!!! cheeky, Ive been working my arse off with these exercises!! (fair enough no one except OH knows im working out but still.......you dont loose as much as ive done by smoking do you)

Have decided not to do level 2 today as im going lakeside at 3, so dont fany having trouble walking round due to sore muscles, so will continue with level 1 today and start 2 tomorrow.

I am trying to find the energy to shred this morning! I need to do it today because I may not have time tomorrow.

anon I stopped smoking again 3 wks ago tomorrow. I gave up for over 3 yrs then started again but only about 3 a day. Decided it wasn't worth it and stopped. I was doing it in secret from dc when they were at school or in bed. They had no idea!

Day 9 finally done! I found it quite hard today, no idea why but i pushed through and got it done. One more day of level 1 then i will attempt to move up to level 2!

waist 30" Hips 37" Bust 36" Thighs 24.5

I reckon my scales make me a stone heavier as my measurements tally up with others a stone lighter than me don't they?

Would like to be 10.7 like i was last year :-(

Day 3 just completed :)

Usually work out when DCs are at school. Was too busy today so had DS2 (6) and the loopy dog helping me out. At one point I was so busy laughing at DS shouting "that's right Gillian, you gotta kick yourself in the ass" that I could barely do the moves :o

Dog keeps trying to either lick my face during abs section or thinks I am about to throw one of the weights whenever I use those. Stoopid dog Hmm

just popped in to say that even though I've been laid up with the dodgy thigh, I weighed myself today and am now 10st 6lb down from 11st before I started all the jumping around :) Huzzah! Reckon I'll be back to business by next week. Pizza tonight to celebrate Blush

My cat is totally oblivious and just snores from the sofa. Grin

Day 9 done today - I only ache a litle bit now when I first start each session, but it soon disappears.

Am being v good diet-wise - not sure how long that will last. I have been snacking on fruit - apple and pear slices, satsumas, grapes, bananas and also raw carrots and humus are really yummy. Not as yummy as cake though, and that's the truth...
