Definitely try Etsy for invitations, AB0*

WEll done vin!!!

Bonsoir · 18/02/2011 10:43

A hint: don't focus on the job so much as where you and your DS will want to be 5 years from now (house, school, location, lifestyle). Which job will help you achieve that?

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 10:43

ABO, these people have some great invitations, some classic, some more modern (in the studio section)

AllBuggiedOut · 18/02/2011 10:57

Congratulations vin! I am sure you will make a wise choice.

plum those are lovely and I may well come back to them if I can't find something less ££.

roary I can never get my head round the whole UK/US thing with etsy...

Bonsoir · 18/02/2011 11:07

tracey and others with 5/6/7 year olds - any ideas for this thread? TIA

roary · 18/02/2011 11:19

abo you can order from either. Uk etsy just has the price in pounds!

AllBuggiedOut · 18/02/2011 11:24

Ta. Just got a tenner from Johnny Grin

traceybath · 18/02/2011 11:25

OK so what happened to the thread with Steve wanting advice on shoes for himself?

Bonsoir - have posted.

Back from Drs have super strong anti-biotics which are making me feel nauseous - if they don't work then next step is referral.

On a S&B note the dress I ordered from the outnet arrived and is lovely.

traceybath · 18/02/2011 11:26

Zembo - I like the jeans - they looked quite a narrow bootcut and its all about the flare isn't it Wink

carciofi · 18/02/2011 11:50

Vin, way to go on the job offers! Well done.

Just back and actually enjoyed being out driving again. I cut out once, think I need to persuade DH that we should get an automatic!

Tracey, hope you feel better soon.

The Current/Elliot cargos haven't arrived though the company I ordered from sent them by special delivery on the 15th. They have refunded postage but I really hope the cargos turn up as they are the last pair and a great price. Grr, Royal Mail.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 11:54

Vin that is superb!! Well done!

Ds had a little trip at school got to look after him, back later....

ReineDeSaba · 18/02/2011 11:56

I have been woefully behind on the thread..have been channelling my avidness into ebaying and has turned out to be worth doing(though those ebay charges are always a bit more than you expect Confused )

will have to wake baby for a feed pre nursery pickup so sorry if I miss any major stuff.

fabulous news fleecy

well done vin nice dilemma to have Smile

notyummy hope you have a lovely weekend with dd..you deserve it after last week.
glad she's doing very well.

zembo sorry the teeth are still giving you problems..hope you can distract yourself with those lovely velvet jeans.

bonsoir and fritzi love those links for girls' clothes.

tracey which outnet dress was it..I always seem to miss rather than hit on outnet.

love those mushroom boots marsha

carciofi I like your thinking for learning to drive but I have to say I often do the bus to westfield as parking can be costly(more money for shopping)

have ordered a dress for MOAM having forgotten intended to wear a MWilliamson one WT in my wardrobe Blush hope it's not any good

waves to lovely bunny and sneaks off to check listings one more time!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/02/2011 12:40

Wohoo vin well done!!!

blossoming · 18/02/2011 12:51

Hi everyone. I'm cooking welshcakes over the griddle. Time consuming and slightly tedious let me tell you!

vin, well done, and I agree with bonsoir.

Well done on the driving lesson carciofi. what a wise thing to do. Dh always stalls the hire car when we're in France, don't worry about it! (You should see his face though!)

marsha, hope ds is okay.

roary thanks for the links last night. Will investigate further!

tracey, hope they kick in quick.

Whelk · 18/02/2011 13:00

I haven't been on for ages (in fact I'm sure you won't remember me) but I just wanted to say to
Everythingiseverything- I think you are doing fantastically well. I think i told you this when you were agonising about what to do in respect of h, but my parents separated and there was a palpable sense of relief for my dsis and me that the drama and icy atmosphere at home had finished and we were stating afresh, just with my dear mum.

We were a real gang of three, looking after each other and it really sounds as though you are ds are the same.

I also know how hard it is and it sounds as though you are coping so well, with all the difficult stuff. Your ds is lucky.

FritziGreenEyes · 18/02/2011 13:04

marsha How is DS?

vin Yes, good advice (as always!) from bonsoir! Made me think where I want to be in five years Hmm.

carciofi I love driving and would really feel trapped if I didn't have a car. Glad you enjoyed it!

bloss Have just googled "Welsh cakes", yummy! Are you going to have one too or do you think your body will get a shock from sugar intake like last week?

Hi reine. Have you planned what to spend your ebay money on? Spring wardrobe?

tracey Hope the ABs will help and sickness pass quickly. Which dress did you get?

bonsoir Gorgeous swimsuit and dress for your DD!

Have just realized that the MOAM will be in four weeks' time already! As I feel like a pregnant elephant today due to PMT, I will definitely wear spanx, black dress and opaques to MOAM.

FritziGreenEyes · 18/02/2011 13:06

Hi whelk!

everything Forgot to say: Boo hiss for silly remarks from people today and yay for compliments. Must remember to dish out more compliments again.

FritziGreenEyes · 18/02/2011 13:10

Re: kitchen worktops: We have granite worktops in nero assoluto with a matt finish (not polished). A bit like this.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 13:17

Hey fritz and bloss thanks he is fine. Big plaster on his chin. He was brave. And fritzi you are teeny tiny you will look fabulous in whatever you wear Smile

Whelk hello!

Reine looking forward to seeing you moam dress.

Carciofi how was the driving lesson?

Tracey I think I remember the dress, it was nice.

Not sure about where to get invitations ABO...

blossoming · 18/02/2011 13:19

Hi whelk. Did you get lots of wear out of your parka?
I love hearing everyone's stories on hear.

fritzi, they are yum indeed. In fact you could eat about 4 without thinking about it. I will abstain though. I don't trust myself!
They're a great cake to make if you've forgotten to make cake and you promised ds and they can be eaten from the griddle, so no need to cool. He is expecting cupcakes, so fingers crossed. He does love welshcakes though. I think I weaned him on them!
Your worktops look great, as did your dressing room Envy.

I' also thinking about what to wear to MOAMU. I think the best thing would be to give myself another 4lb weightloss target. That would keep me on the straight and narrow! I have nightmares about putting the weight back on, and having to buy bigger clothes again!

marsha I'm definitely no xs/s like yourself. Like bloss I always fear that I will gain the weight that I have lost over the last twelve months. I wish I could just trust my body but I always have to keep it in check and on days like today I hate getting dressed in the mornings as everything looks wrong.

blossoming · 18/02/2011 13:31

fritzi, from past experiences, post dcs, it is better to keep a daily check on your weight, because with me, the minute I stop weighing myself daily, the weight creeps back on.
Glad to be of service anniemac!
