New thread!

Not that I've been on the old one much Blush)

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 15:58

Also - saw some very cute Houli-likes for little girls in Gap. My DD didn't want them Sad - hope someone else's DD is more on trend than mine!

carciofi · 16/02/2011 15:59

Blossoming, yes, buy it!
Bonsoir, get well soon. I am going to Gap tomorrow to look for the Houli-likies.

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 16:01

Voilà

Wouldn't they look sweet with ballet flats or strappy sandals and a little flowery top?

blossoming · 16/02/2011 16:08

Is 16 months too young for junior houli-likies?

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 16:18

blossoming - I think they start at age 4!

My DD had her first head-over-heels falling in love moment at 20 months, however, complete with prancing around in a bikini and Havaianas trying to attract the object of her desires (a 20 year old waiter!).

FritziGreenEyes · 16/02/2011 16:27

I bet bonsoirette and blossomingette look adorable with their new haircuts.

Ah, and those junior houli-likes. I like!

notyummy Good to hear that DD is better and looking forward to school!

bonsoir Can you have a sneaky nap while DD is adoring her new look in the mirror?

bloss Yes to white shirt! Timeless classic.

blossoming · 16/02/2011 16:34

Yes, too young at 16 months alas!
Re white shirt, the Joseph one is, gasp, £150. The one in Times fashion today is TMLewin and £59. Roll on bedtime so I can browse to heart's content!

traceybath · 16/02/2011 16:41

Have been ill with renewed and agonising bout of sinusitis combined with DD being up a lot at night - feel dreadful.

Quickly caught-up and Fritzi you are gorgeous and love the frock.

Annie - hair much nicer shorter.

What do we think of these quite MIH Marrakesh-like?

BloSS

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 16:43

Oh poor, poor you, tracey. Have you been to see a proper doctor (ENT specialist) about your sinuses?

roary · 16/02/2011 16:45

Tracey I feel for you - did you ever get yourself a neti pot or saline solution of some kind? It does help. I had crippling sinusitis while pregnant and so couldn't take anything else and it did work.

Marsha 'tis very complicated. I'll PM you about it. Mainly I feel OK as DH is so very happy life has been much better for all of us, made me realize how miserable he has been feeling. But it is really not easy.

Bloss TM Lewin shirts are quite nice, I have some!

roary · 16/02/2011 16:46

Carciofi - thanks! I know you alerted me to their narrow-ness but the reviews did make me wonder....

traceybath · 16/02/2011 16:49

Am taking saline drops and nasal spray and actually felt too dreadful to go to the Dr's yesterday but am going to go back and ask for areferral I think.

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 16:50

Please insist on a referrral, tracey. Recurrent sinusitis is miserable and highly incompatible with caring for small children.

MarshaBrady · 16/02/2011 17:19

Thanks for your lovely words everyone re careers. My friend just got a nanny within a week, someone really nice, so I am going to relax a bit. (plus this is very bad; my funds could go on NaP or nanny and I am ambivalent. That is bad Shock). I will still get the work done whichever way I do it Smile.)

I am aware too how tired I am this week, ds has some sort of breathing / sleep thing which no amount of 'training' will sort out. So we are in it together, but boy I could do with a long sleep at night. Went to GP for a ENT referral but the thought was he is still too young.

Tracey I like those MIH alikes. I hope you get to see a ENT specialist soon.

I have taken delivery of some Acne boots. And they are perfect in many ways. Good size heel, fitted at ankle so can wear with skinnies. But exxy I feel. And are they dull???! I need think about it.

blossoming · 16/02/2011 17:45

Oh, marsha, they are lovely! I would say they fit the brief perfectly. Agree they are a bit exxy though. I saw some similar ones in Jigsaw today, but in suede - not as practical, and not online.
Sorry you've been poorly traceybath. Thanks for the link. They look good.
Hope you're feeling better too bonsoir.

carciofi · 16/02/2011 17:58

Marsha, I really like those boots. Ash do a similar style, but those are nicer. I would love to do some work from home. I worry about having a big gaping hole in my CV as I will probably be off work in total 5 years. Anyone need an index written? :o

Feel better soon, Tracey.

Roary, free delivery and returns so the sandals are worth a punt.

Thanks Bonsoir, have ordered the cargos.

Bloss, look at Thomas Pink also.

blossoming · 16/02/2011 17:59

Thanks carciofi. Off to bath. Roll on 7pm.

roary · 16/02/2011 18:01

I might need an index soon!

carciofi · 16/02/2011 18:11

Roary, if you do, please let me know!

AllBuggiedOut · 16/02/2011 19:03

Dolls have been bugging me all day roary! But I think the ones I saw may have been Haba.

DS3's birthday today so took him swimming then for lunch at Waitrose cafe, and after school took all three DSs to Sainsbury's cafe for tea - they loved it but feeling a bit supermarket-ed out now! Have opened some Wine and waiting for DH to arrive home and relieve me. Will catch up with fashion chat later Smile

pickledsiblings · 16/02/2011 19:09

Tracey, I had horrible toothache related sinusitus last week which I think was brought on by chemicals < over zealous with the flash spray, moi?>. I took sudofed plus nasal spray and found that I could not sleep a wink; Known side affect apparently Hmm. I resorted to steam treatment and facial massage (thank you ds2) and that plus lemsips seemed to work. I hope you get sorted out soon.

Thanks Bonsoir, DD will love those gap cargos. She already has her eye on the indigo cut offs.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/02/2011 19:46

tracey So sorry you are still suffering from sinusitis. Hope you find a remedy that will get you some relief! And
pickled too. Stay away from the chemical cleaning products. I once squirted a whole bottle of bleach on our bathroom tiles in the shower because I had read somewhere that they would be like new again. Really bad idea...

blossoming Enjoy your unlimited browsing tonight!

marsha Great boots and the colour is lovely for spring.

Hope you feel better soon Tracey.

They are nice boots Marsha.

Thanks for the body compliments Fritzi. unfortunately no amount of shredding will change the fact that I a bit pear shaped and my bottom isn't the smallest. I haven't got the sort of body that can wear anything- do have to think about it a bit. I dread to think of
where my bottom would be now without the running/shredding. Setting up in it's own home probably Grin

MarshaBrady · 16/02/2011 20:17

Oh blinking heck. I have worn the boots, in the house only. So carpet and tile in kitchen. Not outside of course. They have a smudge and tiny, small little indent on the (bizarrely lush!) brushed leather soles.

And dh has pointed out they are a bit big. Why I did not see this I don't know. They are a bit. I guess as I'm always a Eur40 I just thought hey wrong socks or something....

Oh no, I should exchange. Has anyone face the scrutiny of NaP regarding soles??
