Fritzi you are gorgeous Envy That dress is fab on you, are you wearing it to the MOAM?

Vin great news on both fronts, must be a relief to be able to stay put for a while. How long do you get to think about the jobs before you decide?

NY my nude colored braided Lottas arrived today and are fab. I bought them through Lottas ebay shop and only paid 42pounds for them. well worth it as they are the spitting image of my Hasbeens.

Annie can I admire your hair too please?

Marsha it's such a tricky one isn't it, I think Fritzi's suggestions are spot on, part time/working from home are the best options for me anyway.

Well, I had the most glamorous day. Left the house in skinnies, ash trainers and navy fur coat, by the time we got to school it was bucketing rain and blowing a gale, so I spent the morning in soaking wet trousers and my coat will never be the same again. Then spent the afternoon trying to clean the embedded poo from bottom and tail of the persian cat who has adopted us. Dear God I really need some Wine!

Oh no about the coat VerityB, hope you have some vino handy.

Yes good idea. There is a great nanny free one whole day a week, but I thought 2 half days would be better. Will look in to it.

notyummy · 15/02/2011 21:53

Thanks for the shoe tips Verity and Fritzi.

Well done in nailing both jobs Vin!

Mumsnut- you are a terrible temptress but I am staying strong.

A x-post Annie. Yes have two things can do and don't wish to lose either. Dh has had good news at work recently and it's great but also funny how it can make one feel... Different for everyone I know.

Would love to see rocking horse, was thinking about that too!

AntPants1 · 15/02/2011 22:02

Annie love your hair long or short. If I had to choose I'd say I prefer the shorter style. It looks sharper and younger with your heart shaped face!!!!

VerityBrulee · 15/02/2011 22:03

Annie you are beautiful Smile I LOVE your new hair, you just need to get used to it.

AntPants1 · 15/02/2011 22:05

I love A&W MNSmile
Honestly, where else would you find someone offering to shop for you.
Wine ladies!
Thanks Plum - Helen, in Zara Cardiff has saved a pair of 37s for me should the need arise for a rather complicated remote purchase as they won't send.
And Fritzi, should you happen to see them in your local branch, I'd love to know which one.

I'm Tubing into town tomorrow with a wayward toddler on the hunt.

Navy Janice - not even worn yet!!

Marsha I think that if you have an itch to work and are feeling 'custard-y' that's a sign you need to take care of your 2 streams!

(others may correct me but I think lots of people don't get the itch, or get a tiny little niggle that never gets itchy because all sorts of other sensible things drown it out). So go for it! But why restrict yourself to DS's school for nannies? We have an amazing one, we do a FT share. Quite a few nannies look for PT work so if you go to a good nanny agency you might be able to find the perfect person.

Also if what you mean is that DH's good news has ignited your passion (or indeed competitive instincts) I totally understand that. I am occasionally childishly competitive with DH and very glad we are in very different fields.

MarshaBrady · 15/02/2011 22:20

Perfectly put Roary! Exactly how I feel. Smile Will do an advert somewhere. You're right waiting for a school nanny to be free could be a while.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/02/2011 22:21

morag Sorry but my local branch is in Germany... But would still pick up a pair for you and mail Smile.

ollie Thanks for your kind offer but I'd better not succumb to BrandAlley. I'm spending too much time browsing online shops as it is...

looby Have washed my navy Janice on cold handwash too and the fabric was horribly stiff when it was wet. Was ok after drying but I think it is a bit shorter than before.

Bloss OWW Fritzi Ants thank you for the trouser recs. I am going to do a RL open minded try on swoop tomorrow down Kings Rd and will report back. I think I need to keep an open mind and force myself to try on styles I haven't tried before! OWW I look forward to your feedback on the DP pair.

Annie WOW I like your haircut - you look lovely too with long hair but you look more "modern" and just as pretty with it shorter. Inspirartional!

Marsha re nannies I have used agencies before with varying success but now use Gumtree and the nannyjob website. If you advertise on Gumtree be very specific about your requirements and also comment that you won't be responding to applicants who don't meet your criteria - 95% of the responses you get won't be suitable (some laughably so) however we have just found a smashing nanny through an ad on there and friends have had success too.

Vin congrats on your job offer and home

Must calm down on the internet shopping as I have a pile of stuff to return and it's becoming more hassle than RL shopping trips!

Emo76 · 16/02/2011 07:54

"Inspirartional" d'oh Inspirational annie !

FritziGreenEyes · 16/02/2011 07:55

Our new bed is supposed to be delivered this morning. I need some new bedlinen as I'm a bit bored with our mostly white stuff. Any ideas?

FritziGreenEyes · 16/02/2011 07:57

emo Have fun shopping today!

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 08:03

Fritzi - what is the decorative scheme in your bedroom? Are you looking for modern bed linen, or something retro/classic? What size is your bed/duvet/pillows? IME English bed linen doesn't fit continental beds.

Bonsoir · 16/02/2011 08:09
inspiration!
