New thread!

Not that I've been on the old one much Blush)

OP posts:
blossoming · 15/02/2011 06:35

Gates, and bob!

Zembo · 15/02/2011 06:42

anniemac you have to stop it (negative hair comments)now. You are absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - a TRUE natural beauty with the most beautiful to- die-for hair (I would give anything for hair like that) - I actually LOVE it Envy and would go as far as saying probably prefer it shorter.

Fritzi - another gorgeous A&W lady, I knew you would be Smile

Morning Bloss!

Vin good luck for your interview today - I think suit is fine. I'm in HC and would probably feel I had to wear one even though I'm definitely not a suit person

Zembo · 15/02/2011 06:48

And on engagement rings - I don't have one either Anniemac I've got a wedding ring that's like an eternity ring - 7 diamonds on a band of platinum (princess cut, set flush), and I'm not overly enamoured with it Blush - we had it made and they got it wrong and I didn't have any time to do anything about it. I think I'll replace it with something more delicate at some point.

AntPants1 · 15/02/2011 06:51

annie can I see?

MarshaBrady · 15/02/2011 07:01

Fritzi you are stunning and the dress looks fabulous!

Anniemac now see I love the new hair. You have a beautiful face and it really suits you. Give it two weeks and hopefully it won't feel so different. I bet your dp thinks you look great too.

MarshaBrady · 15/02/2011 07:21

I mean dh! Good luck today Vin.

redllamayellowllama · 15/02/2011 07:33

Can I see this haircut please Annie?

pickledsiblings · 15/02/2011 07:55

Annie, you new haircut looks fab.

I have longish hair not dissimilar to your old style and would love to get it cut. The only thing putting me off is the maintenance required with shorter styles.

Fritzi, please can I see your photo?

moragbellingham · 15/02/2011 08:05

Popping in to say that I've just received some Pretty Ballerina leopard flats at the bargainous price of £44.70 from Amazon. I bought the ones with the plum trim (5th one down) and they came with a black trim - even better!
I know how you ladies like your animal printWink

tracey - how on earth did you manage to order some Zara wedges????? Do you have contactsSmile. I tried worldwide!

carciofi · 15/02/2011 08:14

Fritzi, you are a stunner! I hate bosses who make you feel guilty for taking time off, I have had a few of those. I like the dress, lovely colour.

Annie, your hair is great short (agree with Zembo and I prefer it short) and you look lovely.

Thanks for the bday wishes. My dad told me that I am really getting long in the tooth now. :o Bloss, DH made a contribution to a new bag, while voicing his disapproval that I intend to buy another.

Gorgeous dress, Roary. Are you any closer to making a decision about Australia? My brother and his wife move to Melbourne today.

PetitDonkey, which size and colour Alexa did you get? Still tempted.

pickledsiblings · 15/02/2011 08:15

Vin, good luck with your interview today.

MrsJ, have a nice time at your parents and good luck with the dress search. Still no idea what I will be wearing.

No engagement ring here either Annie or Zembo. Although I do have my Grandmother's eternity ring which I sometimes wear.

Those playsuits for DDs do look nice but we are very much into separates here - better value for money Wink.

carciofi · 15/02/2011 08:15

Oooh, they are fab, Morag.

carciofi · 15/02/2011 08:20

Yes, MrsJuan, have a nice time. Have you decided on a bag?

Bonsoir · 15/02/2011 08:25

fritzi - echoing all the others - you are very gorgeous (and I love your new dress too!).

I need to find an alternative holiday for the DSSs at Easter. MOL is now very ill indeed and DP doesn't want to go ahead with his trip to the US with DSS1 that had been planned many months ago. What can I find for two teenaged boys (13 and nearly 16) that will excite them/teach them something useful?

notyummy · 15/02/2011 08:32

Good luck with the interview Vin.

I really like your hair Annie - I know from personal experience how attached you can be to 'proper' long hair though, so thoroughly feel your pain.

Hope you have a nice time at your parents MrsJ and Happy Birthday Carciofi!

Thanks for the feedback on the wedges ladies - I think in my heart of hearts I knew they had the potential to be Grannyish, which is why I posted. Ah well - the search continues. If anyone sees wedge sandals or clogs that are nude/metallic or even black and have around a 3 inch heel I would be grateful for links. Bit of a cheapskate with shoes, and I already have a few wedges, so am probably only looking up to the £70 mark. How much are the Lottes?

I have decided to be Wise and am not picking up the P8 black maxi I ordered in the JL sale last week. It was delivered to the nearest store, and if I don't pick it up in the next few days they will just automatically return it to the warehouse and refund me. If I try it on I may love it....and as I have at least 4 or 5 black full length dresses already, then I have to admit that I do not really need another. The fact that I am keeping the glamorous dress I linked to yesterday merely adds weight to that decision!

PlumSykes · 15/02/2011 08:38

Morag, the Cardiff store has the Zara wedges in, I saw them yesterday. You could give them a call? I'll happily collect them for you if they won't post.

PlumSykes · 15/02/2011 08:40

Is the holiday for all of you, Bonsoir, inc. DP? And you need to stay within, say, 2 hours flight of Paris?

Bonsoir · 15/02/2011 08:46

No, just for the DSSs. We are working on the assumption that DP won't be able to get away because MOL will either be at death's door or will have just died, in which case POL cannot be left alone (it was quite hard for us to go to England for three days last weekend).

DD and I already have plans for the Easter holiday - originally DSS2 was going to come along with DD and me, but I'm sure he'd rather go somewhere teenagery if given the chance!

pickledsiblings · 15/02/2011 08:51

Bonsoir, could this be fun?

I'm assuming it's just DP and the boys.

pickledsiblings · 15/02/2011 08:52

Oops, cross posts.

notyummy · 15/02/2011 09:02

Bonsoir - Have a look at the list on the right hand side of the page in this link. I think the Slovakia/Krakow one and the Desert one look great. I have looked at this company before, but decided to wait until DD is older before we use it. There are also many of the countries it features that DH can't go to, which is frustrating!

notyummy · 15/02/2011 09:03

This link Blush

Bonsoir · 15/02/2011 09:16

That looks very interesting - though this time I'm looking for something parent-free!

notyummy · 15/02/2011 09:23

Perhaps PGL then if parent free?

CarolinaRua · 15/02/2011 09:48

Bonsoir We stayed in Portes En Re, which I adored, so quiet and beautiful

Really loved the laid back vibe and the cycling and although everyone dresses well it is very understated and not bling like South of France or Spain, therefore you can really really relax. Its sooo expensive though!!
