I got mine in a health food shop. Around £15 for 200ml, I think. Cheaper than the branded Moroccan Oil stuff.

ClaireDeLoon · 11/02/2011 21:52

Thanks, have ordered some.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 21:53

That sounds about right, GOML, but I think it's unicorns rather than goats.

Aitch · 11/02/2011 21:54

what do you mean i told you so, mmelindt? I TOLD HER SO, yonks ago, and she spurned me.

moroccan oil vg, although god knows be sparing. anything more than grain of rice and i am slick city.

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 21:55

Thanks, BOF. Have ordered some.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 22:01

Aitch is dead right about being sparing- if I need a 5p sized bit, most people will need a lot less.

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 22:02

Aitch
Of course, your Aitchness. It is all your fault.

Aitch · 11/02/2011 22:04

lol.

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 22:07

Did you do that wavy thing with your hand there? And chant in Latin?

JFly · 11/02/2011 22:09

I'm kind of with you on the Parlux and round brush, What'sWrongWithYou.

That along with my Corliss straighteners and I get fairly swishy hair with a good 3 days between washes. And the Parlux is so powerful it takes no time at all.

Aitch · 11/02/2011 22:10

haha what's that smell?

ah. incense. [thank goodness]

WhatsWrongWithYou · 11/02/2011 22:16

Yes Parlux is the way to go for slatterns folks who don't wash their hair daily.

DirtyMartini · 11/02/2011 22:17

Aussie hair range is ok for not having silicone too, I think. Or certainly it used to be.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2011 22:25

MmeLindt is cheating like all before and after pics. :o

Here is me in harsh lighting conditions.

Now here is me in much nicer light with a lovely red top on and taken from a different angle.

JFly · 11/02/2011 22:26

Absolutely. I'd like to meet these childfree people who have time to wash and blowdry their hair everyday.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2011 22:28

I have 100% Argan oil and it does nothing in particular that I can tell. My hair is no better with it than with the boots pink curl creme.

Branded moroccanoil is full of silicones, maybe that's why it is nice.

BoF has shitloads of hair. She has hair for about 5 women. It is amazingly amazing. And big.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/02/2011 22:43

What's wrong with silicones anyway? Is it like that sodium laureth sulphate I can't be arsed to care about?

I have to wash and bliw dry my hair every day - if I don't I would look like the wreck of the hesperus, plus would be paranoid about greasy/smelly hair.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2011 22:49

Silicones bad for dry curly hair - they smooth it out temporarily but also make it dry and nasty in the long run. Or something.

GetOrf we know you have OCD special requirements for cleanliness wash your sheets every day.

I have to wash or at least wet my hair every day because it is curly and that's the only way I can make it go back into shape - can't brush it you see.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/02/2011 22:56

Oh, I haven't got curly hair so I don't need to worry myself.

lol at 'special needs requirements for cleanliness'

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2011 23:00

Curly Girl method (with warnings about silicones etc).

WhatsWrongWithYou · 11/02/2011 23:11

Other thing with silicones if you're a sensitive soul like me racehorses and carthorses, is that they give me a headache and make my skin itch.
I probably wouldn't be arsed about them otherwise.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 11/02/2011 23:12

I got a benign cyst at the base of my hairline after using the curlygirl method for a few weeks. Very painful and I felt most skanky at the doc's.

giraffesisonadiet · 11/02/2011 23:16

It takes me literally 2 min to dry my hair, can even dry it in car with the heaters on and fan up highest.

Its past my shoulders, but thin. Am so shocked at the length of time yours takes bof Envy

FluffyMummy123 · 12/02/2011 07:19

I'm still lolling at what's wrong with you'd " smoky eyes" gag.

Tbh lindy. I still can't see a diff with yours. Although accept the feeling is good. The brown haired woman on YouTube is good. Her fringe sold it to me. Naturally I have no fringe.
