Claire - my hair is wavy and just below my shoulders, and it takes the waves out of mine. Doesn't leave it poker-straight, but as if it were naturally straight if you see what I mean?

TBA, that's why I don't really like it!

ClaireDeLoon · 11/02/2011 21:11

Thanks LRD - I shall avoid then, I don't like me with straight hair!

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 21:15

Not sure, Claire. Depends how curly your hair is. I have natural light waves.

Maybe you could ask in your hairdresser if they have one you could try out? Or some friends.

I would like to set up a stall in a shopping centre and sell them. Bet they would go like hot cakes if folk could try them out.

blackletterday · 11/02/2011 21:16

I don't get it, MmmLindor you're lovely, and your hair looks nice in that second pic, but not different enough from first pic for me to buy it.

I am shit at hair and unless straightening after I never blow dry because it turns into a great frizzy mess. I'm imagining that this will turn my hair into the same great big frizzy mess, not willing to part with £40 to find out.

Anyone else with mad kinky hair that it works for? (think kinky like pubes)

Has anyone got one who used to do their hair with a normal hot brush? Because I have a hot air brush and apart from the spinning thing, that's pretty much how I use it, so I will only get one if it's better! I already have about 3000 electric hair styling devices so I don't really need one unless it's brilliant.

blackletterday · 11/02/2011 21:18

Ok I have looked again at Mmelindors pics and it does seem good, but will it work for wiry pube hair Blush

pointydog · 11/02/2011 21:19

Yes, my mum who's 70, coast. SPinning brushes are the new revolution, you know.

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 21:20

tbh, on the pics it does not look as swishy and glossy as it really is. I have had loads of compliments.

Kangaroo
I have twice got my hair tangled. Once because I wasn't paying attention as I was MNetting and the second time when there was too much hair caught on the brush. I just used the BBH to detangle, in a similar way to using the Tangle Teaser.

blackletterday · 11/02/2011 21:22

What kind of hair do you have Mmelindt? It looks naturally straight and normal on those pics (mine isn't sob).

rusmum · 11/02/2011 21:22

ok- whats bbh? this is going to be an expensive evening i can tell x

ClaireDeLoon · 11/02/2011 21:23

I think they should discontinue it, all this swishing and glossy loveliness it's not right

Alouiseg · 11/02/2011 21:25

Bbh has saved me over £200 in blw drys ;-)

blackletterday · 11/02/2011 21:26

Ahh go on, someone with frizzy pube hair must have tried it. Does it work?

I do fuck all with my hair but if I didn't have to dry then straighten which takes ages I would buy it.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 21:28

I like the effect, but it still takes an hour and ten minutes to dry my hair Angry

Alouiseg · 11/02/2011 21:28

I have frizzy pube hair, which is why I used to have a weekly blow dry. I am now glossy and sleek and bouncy for £43...per year :-)

MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 21:29

blackletterday
I have fine, wavy hair. But not all over the same wavy, which would be nice. If I let it dry naturally it gets frizzy.

FluffyMummy123 · 11/02/2011 21:30

You need to rough dry first

OP posts:
MmeLindt · 11/02/2011 21:30

BOF
Is your hair so long? It took me about 10 mins today. But I whoosh it with the hairdryer first until it is almost dry.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 11/02/2011 21:31

I have really wanted to buy a BBH but I am a miser and didnt want to part with 45 quid. I have thin lanky hair and need a proper root boost. So you think its worth the money? I usually pay about 30 quid for a hot brush thingy so its not much more than that. I have £90 worth of boots points so I could use them (was saving them for a clarins splurge).

Should I? Its getting so bad I was thinking of cutting mair hair really short.

rusmum · 11/02/2011 21:31

sorry thought bbh was something different duh!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 11/02/2011 21:32

Hmm I reckon it's okay if I'm in a hurry - but results are much better with my (twice-as-spenny) Parlux and a decent round brush.

I end up with a decent-looking, smooth-stylee erm style, but flops quickly, whereas when I give it a proper dry there's still some volume left after three days until next wash.

Handy for hols, imo, and for DD who doesn't have the staying power for a proper 'do.

Morroccan Hair oil works a treat for me - heavy hair which frizzes a bit thanks to highlights - makes it all smooth and silky like fifteen years ago again.
Just have to avoid the roots so it doesn't hang.

Tracey, I am so having that navy lace top - thanks for that. Smile

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 21:33

I put my hands on my waist today and could feel the back of it. And it's thick. I think that's the main problem. It needs to be this length though, or when I wear it curly it springs up too much.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 21:34

Cod, that is still with rough drying. It's fucking exhausting, tbh.
