this, I mean

Fleecy · 28/01/2011 22:11

vin I have one of those buggies. Exciting it ain't but it's light and has a carry strap so at a push you could sling it over your shoulder and carry it up the stairs.

Did anyone see Posh and Posher the other day?

PlumSykes · 28/01/2011 22:13

Like this clutch too

redllamayellowllama · 28/01/2011 22:16

Vin, flat sounds perfect and would be so convenient for commuting and stuff. So close the the park as well. We moved out of our flat in May, which was two flights of stairs to the front door and two flights of stairs in the flat itself. Wasn't a problem for DS at all and we always felt safe.

redllamayellowllama · 28/01/2011 22:24

Oooh, I can come over in your direction for early afternoon. Coffee somewhere? How was the fish and chips Envy.

ApuskiDusky · 28/01/2011 22:25

And breathe! Just managed to get ds2 off to sleep after hysterical crying which led to him being sick over me. It's really not like him, this is the third night he's struggled to settle. Might be teeth I guess, he's been fine albeit tired in the daytime.

Will go to bed in a sec, just wanted to pop in and say hi. Vin, I've been keeping half an eye on your total today, I'm so glad you're raising so much. And I'm glad you are excited about the flat; you never know, the next one might be even better, but it's great that you've found something that would work for you.

Fleecy, I watched it; enjoyed it more than I thought I might. Although I knew there were more politicians who had never done anything else beforehand, I was a bit shocked at how going from uni to researcher to parachuted candidate has become the prime career path now.

I think maybe I will leave it here, if that's okay, for the time being, just because it's incredible that you have raised so much for the charity in just two days! I am absolutely touched and they will be so thrilled. I was originally going to put £500 or 1000 target and you have already made it go over that, I am so grateful

here is the link

Morning ladies!

Fritzi I'm almost back to normal, thanks for asking, you're so lovely.

Vin you are wise and avid beyond your years. I'm full of admiration for you.

Reallygrumpy wonderful news! Congratulations. Hope you're feeling well and enjoying your pregnancy.

LTEC hope operation beauty has been successful and you sparkle tonight.

Roman I returned those Ash boots too - looked much worse irl than on the pics. So the only thing I've bought in Jan are the grey Belstaff ankle boots. Must try harder in Feb Smile.

Monkeysmama been thinking about you, hope all's well with you, no doubt you're blooming.

Esher so sorry I won't get to meet you.

Enjoy your Saturdays everyone, I've got yet another 5yr old's birthday part to go to.

Zembo · 29/01/2011 06:42

I've just ordered this recipe book Smile it's been getting a lotta love on some chat forums. Hoping it might satisfy my DH's cravings for junk food Hmm

FritziGreenEyes · 29/01/2011 09:22

Zembo good to hear that you are better! I bought the Leon cookbook a while ago and just love it.

Everything good luck with the move. Hope you have many helping hands to support you.

Cake is your big do tonight?

I am at hairdresser's to have my greys hidden :-)

Was thinking about monkeysmama too...

Romanholiday · 29/01/2011 09:26

Hi everyone, weekend plans all over the place here as dh has had to fly off to a funeral. I'm exhausted following hectic week, so think I will also bow out of this evening's plans and have an early night.

vin you are giving all of us an opportunity to contribute to important work by a great organisation, so thank you and stop apologising.

jigsaw on line now showing ss2011 stuff.

www.jigsaw-online.com/

What a disappointing collection. Dull and dreary. Could not find anything inspiring on there....I used to love jigsaw. I started buying there when I was 17. I used to go in on Saturday's and spend the money in had earnt from my part time job at M&S. I used to love the fact that they wrapped everything in tissue and used lovely stiff card bags. This was in the early 90s when most shops just used to shove things in pastic bags. That little touch made shopping there such a treat and made me a lifelong jigsaw lover. It has been my default shop for so long. I bought the outfit for my father's funeral there as well as stuff for my honeymoon and used to get loads of work stuff there. Do any of you have an attachment to a shop like that? Anyway so disappointed with new stuff....

FritziGreenEyes · 29/01/2011 09:43

Ants I feel the same about Jigsaw. Loved the clothes, shops and everything about it when I was younger but now I just find it disappointing and overpriced too. Lots of inspirations on this thread to get over it though :-)

carciofi · 29/01/2011 09:47

Vin, it is fantastic to see the amount increasing.

Ants, I associate Jigsaw with my last few years in Dublin (they had just opened and my friends and I were very excited), French Connection with when I first came to London and DKNY with my years in New York. Now I follow the discount codes!

Yes, where is Monkeysmama and Rufus?

Zembo, how are you feeling? Think of all the money you saved in Jan and the lovely spring stuff you can buy!

carciofi · 29/01/2011 09:49

Where are Monkeysmama and Rufus, aargh, my grammar!

hellsbelles · 29/01/2011 10:27

zembo I just got that book a few weeks back after a few mentioned it on here...and it's fab. I can't wait to try the restaurant one day.

monkeysmama · 29/01/2011 10:36

Hey beautiful ladies

Have got back to reading a few times this week and am very touched you've been thinking of me. I didn't mean to disappear but things were manic before Christmas and we were away a lot too.

I just have to say it so - my news is sad. I lost the baby a few weeks ago. I am finding times very hard and don't want to write anymore about it. It makes me feel a lot less lonely to know you're thinking of me though.

I have spent enough for all of us in the past few weeks. I will come back in a few days and share some of my new purchases.

MM

Bonsoir · 29/01/2011 10:37

Oh monkeysmama - I'm so so sorry to read that. Please take very good care of yourself. Thinking of you.
