[shock} bunny, DD had that very same CD. It was so cute listening to her singing 'Just Around the Riverbend" aged 4. She is now a beautiful singer and sings in Italian, not a Disney song in sight Wink.

Snap, Dolcee, we're off for a week in Cornwall in July. I'm trying to persuade DH to take some parental leave this year to go away again to take advantage of me not working.

Carciofi, lol at Hello Kitty tat! I am relieved that we're past the Thomas the Tank engine stage with ds1, though will likely have to do it all again with ds2!

Thanks again for the views on the dresses (and the nice comments, I felt v self-conscious putting the photos up!).

VerityBrulee · 27/01/2011 16:32

I'm tired and grumpy and having a bad day, but I've just read what your wrote about beautiful Lucia, and feel mortified. God, what an ordeal for you and your lovely baby, I would have fallen apart completely. You are a wonderful woman VIN

Dolcee Emmanuelle Alt has been my style crush for a while, I feel much more assertive and confident when I channel my inner Emmanuelle. Love this picture of her with her dd, here. I have read that she is 45, which makes me feel good as I will be 42 in a matter of weeks.

Love that shade of blue that MiH do their jeans in, but the cut is not right for me, I'm too short.

Plum and Roma hope you recover from your injuries soon.

OWW glad you and dh have made up! Dh and I are bickering at the moment, I'm annoyed with him as he spends 2 evenings a week rugby training, and misses out bedtime completly and then plays matches on Saturdays which take up the whole day. I wish I had a hobby which necessitated I spend that much time out of the house. I'm shattered and have tonnes of college work to catch up on but never get the chance. I'm thoroughly fed up with him and he knows it, and has been texting me all day, trying to get back into my good books. Got so fed up that I turned off my phone! Bloody Men. Sorry for the rant, needed to let it out.

VerityBrulee · 27/01/2011 16:34

Apuski I like both dresses on you, but I love that drapey style of the first one, second really shows off you figure Smile

blossoming · 27/01/2011 16:43

Sorry you're frustrated about your DH verity. W&A ladies struggling on the DH front this week it seems. I'm lol you turned your phone off though!
I must make Emanuelle thingy my style crush too. Gorgeous hair, and daughter.

VerityBrulee · 27/01/2011 16:45

Coincidently, just came across this video of EA, she seems lovely and fantastic hair. Proof that women don't need to cut their hair short over 40. Always reading threads about that, drives me nuts. Bonsoir loved your comment on the thread about the pixie cut, so, so true!

VerityBrulee · 27/01/2011 16:46

X posts about the hair Bloss Grin

petitdonkey · 27/01/2011 17:06

Bugger - put some bargainous Blochs in my Coggles basket earlier, didn't check out and now they're gone Sad

Great EA video, her cheekbones!! Also love the fact that, like most teenage girls, she punctuate all of her speech with 'like'!!

reallygrumpy · 27/01/2011 17:14

vin Lucia was so gorgeous, I'm so sorry for your loss and everything you and she went through. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you, you're v brave. I will donate this eve (I would do it now but I can't get just giving to work properly on my iPhone, I'm blaming the phone but I suspect it's my fault).

ooh if you want to donate regularly you could do it via payroll giving so you won't pay tax on your donations.

carciofi what's the sizing like on the Seraphine skinnies? I may be needing some soon, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and haven't put on much weight but I'm starting to look a little bit tubby and my jeans are definitely getting a bit snug.

exhausted hope you had a lovely day. I could really related to your first post, this thread has seen me through an up and down year. I love the ideas I get from it and the validation that it's fine to care about one's appearance and it isn't shallow.

plum, Roma hope you're both on the mend.

pickledsiblings · 27/01/2011 17:16

Shock, DD has just asked me straight out about Santa. She started her question with "Mummy, I'm concerned". I have told her the truth. She is sad as she now realises the Easter Bunny + Tooth Fairy are down to us too.

Do any of you have DDs aged 10 that still believe?

Bonsoir · 27/01/2011 17:18

fritzi - I think that my problem with the housework (doing it all myself, I mean) is that I find cleaners insufficiently glamorous to sully my surroundings Blush Blush Blush

Bonsoir · 27/01/2011 17:20

Really dreadful meaningless sentence in that last post... but you know what I mean...

blossoming · 27/01/2011 17:50

Congratulations reallygrumpy. That's really fantastic news. Hope you're keeping well and that things are okay.

carciofi · 27/01/2011 17:52

Reallygrumpy, congratulations! How are you feeling? I bought a 3 (Uk 12), I could have got away with a 2 but they weren't in stock. They have stores in Kensington and Hampstead if you are in London and want to try them on.

Back later, I am being pushed off the chair by the tiny tyrant.

MarshaBrady · 27/01/2011 17:54

Thanks Fritzi! Smile you are a star. Am imprinting on brain. Imprint imprint

Have ordered too much today and feel slightly ill about it. But I am also reminding myself it is just to try on. I don't have to keep it.

blossoming · 27/01/2011 19:17

One would probably need these black jeans if you were channelling EA. Just a thought..
