Yay my Rogans have arrived! They are sooo unbelievably soft; normally my shoes are plastic ones from Primark . A bit on the snug side round the old calves, but that's more reason to continue on Slimming World!

Well I really chuffed that one up...

Rang what I thought was the courier company DHL and asked if I could go and collect the boots from depot without card. Bless the woman she said she couldn't see them being as coming back to the depot so would contact the driver to see if he could redeliver to me. She rang me back as I was leaving work really worried and said she couldn't find my order. Well of course she couldn't as I had rung the wrong bleeding company up. >. I have now arranged to collect tomorrow.

I got the Vernon boots today and they are so not special, well, not to me - so went straight back. But I'm happy with my Otas so that's alright.

Sorry to sound boastful but I ordered 4 pairs from KG directly as a result of this thread, and they have all arrived (last one today). I've been really impressed with the system. The order despatch email means that your order details have been sent to the relevant retail outlets or warehouse, who then issue another email when they send them out to you. Mine has been compiled from 3 or 4 different stockists. Think I'll keep most if not all pairs.

Still, for £19 down from £120, it's not worth arguing about!

I got these. They were £9 in the KG sale an because I ordered them with a pair of boots and the discount they were free!! Can't get better than that.

(They are now out of stock on the KG website thus the ASOS link)

Hobbit, I got the black...they weren't awful or anything but compared to the Fly ones I got yesterday, I just didn't bother to try them on.

The quality looked alright, but the shape etc was just a bit uninspiring iykwim.

I might have been more interested if I hadn't found the others though. but they were exactly what I was looking for, so nothing else was going to cut the mustard!

Your Fly ones look fab.

Aw thanks Hobbit. I didn't mean to put anyone off, I'm sure they would be much better on than just sitting in a box! And if my fly ones had come in a box I prob would have looked askance at them. They were just sort of 'ready to rock and roll'

the Vernons were solid and good leather etc. But I wanted a boot that had a top bit that stood up by itself, like a mens work boot. It just suits what I do.

So, I picked up the boots from the courier. DS says to me, "I think the box lid has come off"... when I opened them the lower part of the box was far too big for the lid hence the boots writhing around in the box, outer plastic bag. They have literally been slung in. No tissue paper, no cardboard boot inserts like my ASOS delivery. The shoe lace bits at the front are ad hoc and are not put in properly. If I had paid £160 for them I would have been annoyed at the state they arrived in.

However, they are here and are very nice.

Bella, I am so glad you like them. Fwiw my Vernons were a bit knocked about, too. I ended up putting shoe cream on a couple of spots before returning them in case they blamed me.
