everything I keep thinging about your difficult time and last time before I went to bed I thought,I will so give you a hug when I see you, then realized I would come across as a crazy stalker(like that thing where you feel you 'know' a celebrity Blush ) soi i'll send you a virtual one today Smile

ReineDeSaba · 10/01/2011 11:24

quick- can't find any twin rooms at the hotel - which websites did you use?

PlumSykes · 10/01/2011 11:55

Am back from GP, mind put, just about, at ease. Xray showed chest inf still present, so antibiotics obv. never really shifted it. He's coughing like a Woodbine smoker again now, so more ABs, will refer us to see consultant if these don't work. So, nothing major/obvious to concern him (have been panicking about Cystic Fibrosis, for some mad reason), just ongoing chest inf problem.

If only they could have told me that when I rang for results, instead of ominously pausing, then telling me he needed to see the GP. Think they have been watching too much reality TV. "And the thing that is wrong with your baby is......."

OllieWollieWoo · 10/01/2011 12:05

Ignore last post - computer kept throwing me out of expedia and late rooms (didnt like their script apparently - wtf?) so rang Late Rooms and booked over the phone (thanks for tip off Bloss!)

notyummy · 10/01/2011 12:06

Ollie - I used Booking.com. They have a range of rooms, and if you look for the Queen Deluxe Plus and then click on room details it clearly states there are more than one bed. I also put a special reuest that it was for 2 friends so def to be made up as a twin. Came in sub £135.

blossoming · 10/01/2011 12:07

Great news ollie!
Did anyone else get the NAP email about the new VWA linen dress in, gasp, stripe, gasp, pink and navy here.
Come on Phase 8, we need a summer Janice!

ReineDeSaba · 10/01/2011 12:08

glad you're feeling like some of the weight has been lifted off your shoulders plum it's all too easy to assume worst case scenerio..am very glad you're not in that position

notyummy · 10/01/2011 12:09

Ooh Blossoming - I like!! However VWA and I have not got on in the past....and I wonder if my bottom can carry off that dress?? Hmm.

Plum - so glad you have had your worries eased.

DM (I know, I know) had a nice article in You yesterday summarising the best items coming into the shops over the next couple of months. Frustratingly I can't find it online, but there were are few nice things there....but some others I was bit Hmm about, like the multi-coloured palazzo pants, and a M and S maxi that looked like a stunning simple young model would suit.....but anyone less genetically blessed could potentially be a laughing stock in!

OllieWollieWoo · 10/01/2011 12:14

Oh Bloss - I share your gasp! I think you may have found your meet up dress????!!! (Come on the ebay items!)

Fleecy · 10/01/2011 12:21

Funny you should say that bloss - I have saved it into my wishlist but can't afford at the moment. Would it work on a spring? Pink and navy both do but not sure if the dress would be overpowering for the fair-of-skin-and-mousy-of-hair?

Shame about the red one everything Do they have it in the Matches or My Wardrobe sale?

HH on sale at Cocosa today but might have all gone by now. I rather liked a green silk one-shoulder one but again, no £££ this month having bought my Mulberry (which you must all appreciate at the meet-up Grin)

Good news there plum 'tho not so good about the chest infection.

redllamayellowllama · 10/01/2011 12:30

Bloss the VWA is stunning. Just stunning. And timeless, I would argue. Any other recommendations from book? Cooking for MIL's 60th and was going to do a curry extravaganza using the book. DH is a bit mean about her unfortunate lip-liner on the cover picture.

Brilliant news Plum, but very annoying that they couldn't disclose that it wasn't anything to be hugely. Concerned about over the phone - could have saved you so much worry. Hope he's on the mend soon.

It can be hard to visualise living somewhere without furniture etc in situ, I think Everything. Bit Hmm indeed about odd man though.

Also keen to know about Big Hair - am a bit sick of GHDs.

traceybath · 10/01/2011 12:42

Oh Bloss - I love that dress - my 2 favourite colours and stripes and vwa!

But must be good - if I was to buy something though what do you think would be best a LV scarf or the stripey Bloss VWA dress?

You know just for research purposes Wink

Plum - you do make me laugh even when you're clearly worried Grin Glad DS is ok though.

Everything - hope ok goes tonight.

OllieWollieWoo · 10/01/2011 12:48

Gah - booking confirmation arrived, said it was for one person for a single room so now have spent 10 mins on hold speaking to a, quite frankly, dozey operator but all fine now - mistake on system - AND I have tripled checked by phoning hotel directly! Fritzi - rest assured you have your own bed! Phew! Must go and rescue DS2 from TV.

Oh yes, Warehouse dress has arrive - yay. I was out so now have to collect from a depot miles way - boo!

blossoming · 10/01/2011 12:49

I'm having such a bad day. I blame the weather. I want to buy this gorgeous dress now. For work!!
(Bad as in craving sugar and craving nice dresses you understand!)

Gorgeous gorgeous dress bloss - looking forward to seeing you in it at the meet up Grin

Plum - glad it wasn't bad news - naughty of the doctors to keep you in suspense like that Angry

Marsha - have your shoes come yet? I think they look fab. I've ordered this HH seemed rude not to at the price. Will need styling assistance if it fits.

Metallic KG heels arrived and I'm in limbo about them. They are super high and I don't think I'd last long in them. Then another parcel arrived and I ripped it open excitedly thinking it was the boots only to discover a toilet seat. Very much wanted and needed but not quite the same.

Just back from swimming with DD. I took the plunge (groan) and bought her some of these swim discs (they were cheaper than that at the pool though). I would thoroughly recommend them instead of armbands - much more comfy, more buoyant and you can gradually reduce them as they get more confident. DD was 'swimming' the whole time we were there without me needing to hold onto her which has hoprfully tired her out so she'll have a good nap Grin

Told DH about meet up yesterday - his reaction was as predicted Grin. Tracey - I am beside myself with nerves already. Please be nice!
